Hopefully this is the right place for this. This was my first time since going GF to go to Disney. I emailed my ADR's ahead of time. Every place I went have it included on the reservation.

First night: Mama Melrose. I had heard there was GF variety here, so I wanted to try it. I really wanted a flatbread (I haven't had pizza for a long time!) but they had Amy's GF pizza. I asked for it well done. It was okay, but it still was kinda soft in the middle. They brought the GF rolls. I know everyone has opinions of these (too hard, etc) but I was just glad to be eating bread. Being new to GF, I haven't explored all the bread options yet, so it's been awhile! Nice experience, staff very accomodating!

Next night: Kouzzina- I really enjoyed this experience. The chef was great. My friend got the assorted spreads, so they brought me a GF pita so I could try too. I loved the Kalamata fig spread! My DH & I split the Flank Steak. It was interesting. I thought I'd love the potatoes more than I did. Nice experience, great staff!

Next night: Beaches & Cream I was really looking forward to this. I got a burger with a GF bun (which I thought was nice) and fries. They said the fries would take a bit, as they had to cook them next door at a dedicated fryer. They were still good & hot when they got to me. Nice staff, yummy food!

Next Day: Late lunch @ Le Cellier after the half marathon. This is my tradition after the half. I knew I would really miss my cheese soup & breadsticks, but my body would thank me. I split the New York Strip steak with mashed potatoes with my DD. (the steak has been kinda fatty the last few times we've gotten it, and this time was pretty fatty. Oh well, it tasted great) The chef was funny. He said I could have the risotto, and I questioned it (I was thinking small pasta not rice). He really wanted to make sure I knew that it didn't have any gluten in it. Tapioca rolls again. Good service.

Next Day: Jiko Now this I thought would be the best service, etc, because of hearing about the special GF menu. I think it was just my server, because he didn't seem very knowledgeable at all. I asked if there was any bread I could have, and he acted like he wasn't sure. He went to ask. My DH & I split the Tangle wood chicken. I was just not into the spices that night, as I wasn't that thrilled. The waiter didn't give my any dessert options, but I can't remember if it was on the GF menu or not. Oh well. This was my greatest disappointment, if I can use such a word. The food was okay, but the service didn't seem to be with it GF-wise.

Next day: Lunch at San Angel Inn- No chef came out. The waiter said I should just avoid anything with flour tortillas. I asked about the sauces, and he said no, they shouldn't have any gluten. DH & I split the Sopa Azteca, which was very good, and the Tostados de Tinga, which was very nice also. It was enough to satisfy both of us. I enjoyed this meal very much.

Dinner that day was Raglan Road. I had Shepherd's pie. I wasn't thrilled with the seasoning on this one, I was expecting more of a Cottage pie from Rose & Crown taste. I ordered a side of fries to make up for the fact that I didn't want to finish my pie. The chef & waiter were very nice. I'd like to try this one again. My DH got the burger, which he said was the most amazing burger he's had. I want to see if I can't get that GF.

Next day: Last day @ Disney. Tony's for lunch before ME- I really wanted a flatbread again (esp. the Bianca!) but alas, it was Amy's again. The chef said he could make Chicken Parmigiana without the breading. That's what I got. Now, I've tried rice pasta at home, and didn't care for it. This was way different pasta, and it was great. I would totally get this again. I didn't get the Pistachio Creme Brulee for dessert as recommended by the chef. Great food, and great service.

That's all. Thanks everybody for all the imput I read before I left and the reviews. I hope this helps somebody else!

Thanks for the review! It's always nice to hear different experiences and tips. :thumbsup2

Too bad you had less than a stellar experience at Jiko. This was one of my favs for GF.

Thanks again for sharing.

Very good information. I'm happy to hear that Disney does a decent job of feeding people with special dietary needs.

Great reviews! Would you be interesting in posting them on my website? I am collecting gluten free Disney reviews - they will be sorted by park and restaurant for easy referencing. You can just cut and paste what you already have written. Short is fine.

Thanks for sharing about your trip. I am all that much more excited for our next vacation to the 'gluten free World' !

Pete, I'd be glad to, but when I tried, I got to the bottom of the form, and there was no place to submit. I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong.

I forgot to say that we ate at the Pop Century food court 3 times. Twice I had breakfast, GF waffles. Loved it. Once the chef felt it took him too long to make (this was @ 7am) so he told me he didn't want to charge me for it! For lunch, my options were chicken nuggets, hamburger & fries, I think one more thing. All was fried, greasy stuff! I had burgers & fries, and decided I didn't need to have lunch or dinner there any more! Breakfast is great, though.
