Glow with the Show

Is Glow with the Show just a temporary thing? Or will it be around for a few months? (Like, say, until Christmas? ) I've seen a thread mentioning it for APs. Is it just for APs? Or can anyone purchase the hats?

Anyone can purchase the hats, but there is a special package for AP's that include a pen and something else I can't remember right now. There's a special AP event, but the Glow with the Show is ongoing. You purchase the hat which includes a chip that works with the show. It evidently works with other attractions too--turns orange when you're close to Cozy Cone, changes with the music during Tea Party, automatically turns off when in HM or POTC.

Comes wiht a lanyard and a pin. The pin is so cute! After our show, everyone wanted the pin without the lanyard. Unfortunately, you had to buy the two together for about $15.

Just curious if anyone knows; I've heard about the ears automatically turning off for HM and POTC, but what about all the other dark rides? Fantasyland for example?

Disney is pushing this HARD!!! Believe me, they are selling the hats at $25 a pop, so they are going to do everything in their power to get people to buy them as much as possible. I got my ears for free, but wouldve happily bought them because it is such a cool gimmick.

My guess in a few months, there will be MORE added shows like Fantasmic if people arent buying them fast enough. But its only been out a few weeks thus far and I can definitely tell the idea is VERY popular! It may be a fad and die out in a few months but I think the idea is to have this part of the experience in general so no wont be going away soon at least.
