You have to be in the hub/mainstreet area as that is where the sensors are. I'm not sure about the other shows that they work with.

fantasmic is the one you can really see them working. I would assume ROL is going to make good use of them as well.

if you happen to be around in december and planning to visit celebration, the homes on jeter bend do their version of osbourne lights, whole neighborhood also has sensors to make them work with the light show...

(it's what happens when you have a lot of people who make wdw work living in the same town )

we noticed them changing color in the world showcase - they blinked the colors of the flag of the country we were in. my kids have the disneyland ears - they work at world as well.

All of the Made with Magic products (ears, wand, paintbrush, Minnie bow, Mickey mitt, etc.) work at every park, even the international ones. So if you buy a wand at Hong Kong Disneyland, it will work in the stateside parks as well and vice versa.

My DD has taken loving care of her ears for 3 years.....she turns them on every few weeks to see the lights flash (she believes they flash in time to whats happening at the parks at that moment...)

These things were really amazing at Osbourne lights.....

Not sure what they will sync with now....but anything would be great..

I do wish those things came with better instructions. I've yet to master exactly how they cause the blink pattern to change on others around you.
The one problem (if you want to call it that) with the made with color things at WDW, there aren't many users with them on so you don't have a huge display of color around you when they are in use. Some think that is a plus

Personally I'm hoping they start to phase these things out. It's very hard/distracting/uncomfortable (if not painful) to watch Fantasmic or any other night show with someones disco ears/wand/necklace right in your face flashing away.

I kind of like this idea, would be pretty cool to see an entire stadium full of these things all lighting up in sync with the show!

I actually really liked seeing people with the ears during the shows. It adds to the festive atmosphere. The wand is kind of tempting.

Made With Magic are the current ears/wand being sold, and those work.
Glow With the Show are the older line, and the pair that I tried (in July) did not sync with the rest of the ears or change using the new wands
