Glenda's September 2008 WDW Adventure!

:wizard:

Yikes.. if they did not let you in NH_B ... thank God you were nice enough for the guards to like :thumbsup2

Mandy... know what you mean.. before I quit my previous job... (but sometimes I wish I to go back which I can.. been there for 16 years... but the drive!) I used to drive an hour to work via i-95 now.. i travel a 10 minute drive to work with traffic... 3.2 mile mind you!!! and a 7 minute drive back home !!! So yey!! I get to keep my car!!!

Well to make a long story short I was being pushed out of my last job and this amazing opportunity presented itself (for the second time). I actually get to work with both my parents and it's about a 45 minutes drive. And because my mom is my boss and I turned down the job the first time, I will be here for quite a while, lol.

The good thing is, my boss is a Disney FREAK. I might be going with her and 2 other families in April as their nanny (all expenses paid!)

Hey, I think everybody knows where Canton is because of First Monday Trades Days. Those of us raised in the area avoid it like the plague though:rotfl: . I have a cousin who lives in Kilgore (right outside of Longview). I also know where Carthage and Marshall are too, of course. I have some coworkers who live on Lake Tawakoni. It really is a small world isn't it?

Indeed it is. I quit going to Canton when it got so huge. I remember when it only took a half day to browse everythng there! I think I've stopped once in the last ten years or so. It used to be fun.

Looking forward to meeting a fellow east Texan soon :goodvibes

Hey! now we'll have two bags to fight over. Glenda, I'll help you get ANTS green one, if you'll help me get Amanda's pink one, then we can share. I get to take them both home to Texas first though.
I'll help you, but I don't want to share! :snooty:

Look this ones only!12.97 with $6 ship!

Take notice at how narrow the straps are though. They could start to dig into you after a while. What helps me decide on a bag, is how wide and cushioned the straps are.

OMG...just try and come near me and my pink bag pirate:

I'm using this: http://www.verabradley.com/Site/Store/ProductDetail.aspx?dept=8&sku=10336:8 in Caffe Latte. Think I can carry everything I need in it? :lmao:

So I'm thinking of taking a weekend trip to Universal, solo. I priced it out and it'd be ~$700. Doesn't seem that bad. Maybe I'll wait a little longer though.. if I go in November, I'll be dying to go back to Orlando by May of next year.

I saw that, but there is no way I could fit everything...plus I know my mom will want me to carry stuff. Somedays I will go without all together and just put stuff in my pockets. I need to keep looking.

And you traitor...Universal

The Harry Potter hype has me wanting to go! Plus I think a weekend @ Universal on the fly wouldn't be too hard! No ADRs, I can buy an express pass, all-you-can eat pass..

Although I could probably go to Disney and just get two one-day non-hopper passes.. hrm.. wonder how much that would be. *runs to research*

Thinking of Nov. 14-16

Lol see you can't even go to Orlando without doing Disney :lmao: I've never been...well I've been to CityWalk (ladies night at the Latin Quarter :cool1: ) haha but that doesn't count!

Universal is fun. I went to IoA for the first time on a school field trip (we stayed at ASMo for 5 days, did Busch Gardens, EPCOT, MGM, MK, & IoA). I went again the next year with my Uncle's family (MK & US/IoA), went in 2005 but we spent very little time at either park (my dad liked to rush through everything and was a grumpy-pants).

I'd really like to do everything at US/IoA because they were so fun but rushed the last times I went.

The problem with rushing off to Disney is that I'd want to stay onsite since I can't rent a car (no way I'm paying the fees for being under $25), and I'd be very compelled to try out Wilderness resort. I've only stayed in Values. :scared: I'm also not sure what kind of room rate I could get without having a PIN etc. I need months to plan Disney!

What about renting DVC??? I have dones this before and if you are only going for a night or 2 might be a good idea.

Oh and there I used to rent from Payless rental when I was under $25, I don't remember their fees being too bad.

Hello Lovely Dis Peeps!!!

I wish I could buy...I used to have it with my ex but we couldnt' agree on how to split nor did we want to deal with each other for the next 50 years...or we'd still be married:rotfl:

I think the first time I take dbf we will rent DVC...one bedroom cause I love the TUB!!!

Hi Timmy!!!

Ok.. Jamie.. that you cannot blame that on me anymore.. "looking at earl" :goodvibes :rotfl:

Yep, blaming Earl ;) I really did need a new organizer bag, but I actually needed a neutral one...hmmm, is lime green a neutral :confused3

I have an old 5-day non-hopping ticket that's already been upgraded once, so I have to use it "as is." If there are others out there in the same situation, maybe we could do a non-hopping trip sometime. :goodvibes
