Glasses at the water parks

I used to always wear my contact lenses to the water parks. But I can't wear contacts anymore. And I can't see ANYTHING without my glasses. I wouldn't recognize my own family. So I kind of have to wear them. Any thoughts? I'll stay out of the wave pools. But what to do on the slides? Wear Croakies?

I wear Rx sunglasses and I use a sport strap, but on some slides they will not let you wear them. You will have to hold them in your hand. I wear swim trunks with a pocket to stash them, though I don't think ladies' swimwear ever has such features. If it's a tube slide, wearing them is fine, but any of the body slides/speed slides they will not let you, strap or not. If I did not wear them at all though I would be able to see NOTHING and the water parks are hard enough to navigate.

I put mine in a locker. I use to put them in a beach bag at the chair. But I no longer leave anything valuable at the chair. I can see decent enough without glasses. Just can't read signs.

I wear the same elastic strap that I use on non-Disney roller coasters. Works fine on tube slides and in wave pools. I don't do body slides, though, so I have no idea if they're allowed or not.

I'm in exactly the same situation, after 45 years of contacts, had to give them up. I have the color changing glasses, wear them at the waterparks now, take them off to go down the big slides, and leave them on on the tube rides unless a CM tells me to hold them. Wear them the whole time on the lazy rivers!

I can't see a thing without my glasses, either, and can't wear contacts. I have ridden most all of the water slides (except Summit Plummet, not happening!) and like others said, they sometimes make you hold them. I have even been in the wave pool at TL; I'm just sure to take them off and hold on tight during the waves. I admit that's risky, but my DS11 LOVES the wave pool and I don't feel comfortable without me being with him. I have not had a problem, other than wet glasses with nothing to dry them with.

My kids are swimmers and also used these until they started wearing contacts.

Go to the fishing department at Walmart or any sporting goods store & pick up a strap with a float on it. I retrieved my floating shades from the pool at the bottom of a couple tube slides after flipping off the tube when I hit the pool. Much easier than diving for them on the bottom of the pool.

I didn't know such a thing existed. I wonder if it's sold online anywhere. I will have to check! Thanks, everyone!
