We just installed glass shower doors on our tub. We also have very hard water. What do I use to remove the water stains? Tried Scrubbing bubbles but no luck.:laundy::tinker:

Thanks Tigger:tinker::donald::ccat:::MinnieMo

How about one of those automatic shower cleaners. I know Scrubbing Bubbles has one that you push a button on and it sprays your entire shower with cleaner and you do not have to wipe it.

It took me a while to find something, but now I love Lysol 4 in 1 all purpose cleaner (clear bottle, yellow fluid). I use it on the terra cotta colored tile in the shower and on the glass and it is SO easy!

DS just had a housekeeper do his house to get it ready to rent.....and she used oven cleaner. It looked so nice. All that build-up went away.

I use a magic eraser. Just a small section at a time, while I am in the shower. Once I've got it pretty well clean, I put some olive oil on a paper towel and wipe it on there. Then I use a squeegee to keep it clean when I get out of the shower. When I see the build up starting again, I start with the Magic Eraser again while I'm showering. It's kind of an ongoing thing, just a little bit at a time.

Try "The Works" you can find it at Dollar Tree.

I love their toilet cleaner. It's the only thing that would get the stains off.

I also have very hard water, it stinks. I use Lime Away. It does help if you dry your shower after every use.

I keep telling DH we need to do that. His grandma had that rule and that is where I learned it.;)

I clean everything with vinegar. Even the shower scum. If it doesn't work well enough, I just sprinkle baking soda and then add the vinegar and scrub, it is a miracle worker! Why does that make me so happy:confused3 I'm a dork!

Once you clean them, apply Rainx ( yes the stuff for car windows) to the doors. It makes cleaning them so much easier. Reapply the Rainx every month.

From Queen of Clean (she started locally in Phoenix), use plain lemon oil. Works great, and we have hard water here in AZ. Remember to clean floor of shower when done so it doesn't stay slippery.

I agree with the above. You could also try MeanGreen. Both should work. Don't know how much build up you have but I know I was staying at my cousin's house and it took me 3 days to get it clean because they had not cleand the scum off in like 4 years.

Just found time to check my thread and I see i have soo many suggestains. Disboards are the best. So many suggestains.

I install these at my job for over 25yrs and YES RainX is the best way to keep them clean.I tell all my customers this..:thumbsup2

Do not apply hard chemicals like The Works,it will eat the silicone seal and start leaking within a year..

I havn't had any problems yet with my doors but I love the ideas here. I use scrubbing bubbles and squeegee the doors after showering.
