I hadn't been focusing on this b/c I hoped DD#2 would be on all table foods by the time we leave but I just saw something that says no glass in the parks. DD is 10 months I'm finding she isn't a big table food eater and still wants the jars. If she is still eating the jars on our trip - will they give me a hard time bringing in Earth's best jarred foods for her? She won't touch gerber and hates other baby brands I have tried - she only likes the earth's best brand - which are glass jars.

Can you transfer the jarred food into a plastic container before you go into the parks?

I carried glass jars into the MK last month for my DD. I had it in the bad and when I went through bag check they didn't say anything to me. I didn't know you chouldn't bring glass into the parks?

Q. Are there any personal items I should not bring with me into the Theme Parks?

A. Items that you may not bring into the Theme Parks include, but are not limited to:

Items with wheels, such as wagons, skateboards, scooters, inline skates, shoes with built-in wheels, two-wheeled or three-wheeled conveyances, strollers larger than 36" x 52", suitcases, coolers, or backpacks with or without wheels larger than 24" long x 15" wide x 18" high (coolers required for medication may be stored in a locker or at Guest Relations), and any trailer-like object that is pushed or towed by an ECV wheelchair or stroller
Alcoholic beverages
Weapons of any kind
Folding chairs
Glass containers (excluding baby food jars and perfume bottles)

About 5 hours ago we were sitting in Pecos Bill's restaurant feeding our daughter from a glass baby food jar. :)

I had no problem feeding my daughter her baby food from glass jars (Beech Nut) during our trip earlier this month.

Your DD has good & expensive taste ;) We also use Earth's Best with our DD and had no problem bringing it into the parks. Will your DD not eat anything from the Gerber Organic line? We were lucky, our DD would eat anything, though we did stick to the Organics.

i'm sure it's prob mentioned here somewhere, but since i saw this post...figured i'd ask here! how do you travel on an airplane with your glass jars? thinking most likely my ds will be on table foods by the time we travel, but just in case, i want to be prepared.

We brought Gerber Organics, which are in plastic containers, for the plane rides just to avoid any issues. Check out the TSA website for more information on what is and is not allowed when traveling with young children.

We took glass baby food jars in with us. I believe it is the only allowed glass jars in the park. If you are that worried, have you tried any of the Gerber ones in the plastic containers?

As an aside... if you use cereal, you may want to consider toting it in those little 3 chamber containers. You'd be surprised how much you can fit in those!

Also, TAKE AS MANY DISPOSABLES THAT YOU CAN!!!! Bibs, flatware (Take n Toss are my best friends), sippy cups, changing pads, etc. That way you don't have to worry about hauling around dirty bibs and spoons. (And for all those who are eco-friendly... they do make degradable disposable bibs, I know... we used em!)

Have you considered shipping some ahead in a flatrate box through the post office? Maybe take enough in plastic (or whatever TSA will allow you to take) and pick up the rest at your hotel or you can always try the grocery delivery services.

Unfortunately she doesn't love the gerber organics we have tried them. I'm hoping she will be mostly on table foods when we go (45 days from today) but I don't want to count on that.

I do plan to ship down a box with diapers, disposable bibs, take and toss cups and silverware. I think I'm going to have to go garden grocer though I'm don't want to ship food down (except for things like puffs and cheerios).

Wheelerkidz - I love your picture. And it is just adorable the way the baby has hands on their chins. Love this idea and so cute!
