Our local photo club took a field trip to a glass blowing shop (Houston Glass Studio) today. It was a great trip. Here are some shots from the outing:

I knew that looked familiar. My dh had Lasik yesterday, and I watched it on the monitor outside. :rotfl2: Shame I didn't have my camera with me. ;)

   i think i'm glad you didn't:rotfl2:
nice job mark...good idea to angle the furnace..i took one straight on once and totally blew the highlights :rotfl:

Wow! Great shots! I got to see a glass blowing demonstration in Murano, Italy last spring but didn't get anywhere near as nice of shots as you did:thumbsup2

I had my camera with me when my DH had Lasik done last year...I could post pictures!! But the video I took is much more interesting. :teeth:

Yikes! I was cringing too much to take pictures. :scared: All I could see was a very tight close up of his eye. It was almost enough to deter me from doing it. Maybe next year, as we maxed out the FSA for this one.

Sorry for the digression. They really are nice shots Mark--great colors and lighting.

Just saw a great segment on How Its Made on the Science Channel on glass blowing, a fascinating art. Great photos, thanks for sharing.
