$$ given for going on a tour

We went on a tour of DVC last December and received gift certificates.

I have a couple of quetions about these.

The gift certs were for $50, if I only spend $45, do you get $5 back or do you forfeit the balance?

Can I use these for basically anything I buy at Disney? Meals, shops in the parks, World of Disney? DH wants to know if they can be used to pay for golf.

Does anyone know of any restrictions on these?

NO CASH BACK. You must use the entire amount for a purchase. I would say if you bought something for $45 , then you forfeit $5. You can use them anywhere at WDW.

they are like any other giftcard. If you spend $45 you will still have $5 left on the card to use towards something else.

Actually, when we did this in February 2004, They made a point of telling us you did get change. In fact, after the tour, I bought a magnet at Screen Door on the Boardwalk and did get the balance of the $50 in cash.

Of course we turned around and bought 200 points (and then added anothyer 130 for the free AP's), so I guess they still came out ahead!
