Give me an AP & look what happens - 2 for 1 PTR!! NEW 3/11 p.63 TR Link

The last day is tough! How awesome that you got both Le Cellier and Teppan Edo. Both should be yummy! :)

Good! Another chance for us to meet up.

This is our last full day too. We'll be going to AK in the morning and MK in the evening. I do have a back-up ADR for 'Ohana's this night if we couldn't go earlier in the week...but I'm not ruling out eating there a second time in a week if when we went earlier in the week and it was a good experience. If not it will counter service.

I did update my PTR.....thanks for the push. :goodvibes

We'll have to connect if we haven't already had the chance to meet up earlier in the week. :goodvibes

This past weekend was the first time I ever hopped! :thumbsup2 And I only hopped on one day. But, it was still cool.

I ate at Teppan Edo for this first time during this trip too. :goodvibes

I hope you loved Teppan Edo!! I'm never disappointed in the food - on our last family trip we sat in a back room that seemed like a closet but otherwise I've always enjoyed it very much & am looking forward to going back. :thumbsup2 We :lovestruc hopping! But we'll be doing less of it this time around.

We have always been park hoppers but I am tempted to give this trip a shot without it. Just a little bit of an adjustment to my touring plan and we should be able to get by w/out. I can always add it if I feel like we need it but that $200 savings is looking nice since I'm splurging on the resort.
My fiance and I did an adults only trip last July and while my DS knew we were going on a trip I didn't tell him where until the last possible moment. I was feeling so guilty for leaving him home! But he was surprisingly ok with the whole thing.:thumbsup2 I think as parents we feel worse about these things than the kids do!

We can't completely give up hopping - we like to go back and visit all of our favorites toward the end of our trip. Plus we want to eat at Epcot three times & I don't think we need three Epcot days (as much as I would like that).

Yes - Leaving the kids behind is hard, but definitely necessary from time to time. I'm just feeling extra guilty because of my Sept/Oct trip! :guilty:

It's so sad to write about the last day even before you get there! Actual last day/departure day coming up next!

I'm really looking forward to all of our TS meals! :cool1:

Sunday 3/6 is our departure day... :sad2:

We don't really have any specific plans for today. We will get up, pack up the van & check out of our resort. I doubt we'll make rope drop, but we'll head to a park, quite possibly Magic Kingdom until we need to leave for the airport at 1pm. We may or may not have lunch at a park, maybe opting for morning snacks & something on the road. I guess it depends how hungry we are! We will leave by 1pm to drive over to Tampa for our flight home. Luckily it's another direct flight, getting us back into NH around 7:30pm.

Let's not dwell on departure day... Here are a few pictures from our snow day today (yes that's our Christmas tree on the right):

This was around 10:30 am - we got about 6 more inches after that!

We got about 16-18 inches of snow!! And it's still snowing a bit!

Sorry I didn't take more pictures... I intended to go out in the front yard & take more, but it was blowing sideways so I didn't want to ruin the camera!

The next week and a half is going to be crazy with my Spectrum Moms trip coming up. I probably won't post much between now & then but will switch into full planning mode after the trip!!

My brother, who lives in Belfast, Maine, posted on Facebook that they got 2 feet of snow and it was still snowing. So glad it wasn't me! :rolleyes1

Look at all that fun snow!

We got quite a bit of snow, too, but not as much as you did!

Good luck with all your packing and preparations for the trip!

We only got about three inches of snow, and we've been home from school all week. We may go back tomorrow. I can't imagine what 16 or more inches would do to us! I saw that there were some places with two to three feet. That's just WOW to southerners!

Soarin' in the morning and ending up in Magic Kingdom sounds like an excellent last full day.

Last days are just not fun to talk about. It never matters to me if we've had four days or eleven, I still am not ready to leave. :sad1:
It's easier with 11 , but still not fun.
We always try to have another trip on the books before we leave. ::yes::

That's a lot of snow!
It looks so pretty right after it has fallen and it's still clean. The yellow snow in NYC is grossing me out :rotfl:

can't believe you had a foot of snow in one day...well maybe I do :confused3 no more snow now though right?

all your plans for the next family trip look good and some impressive eats too! :thumbsup2

Great pics of the kids in the snow! You got a LOT! Wow! We only got a few inches and it barely even slowed anyone down this time.

I finally have my plans in order, and without looking at them I think our paths may cross a couple times. I also plan to be at the Small World meet! :yay: Thre are going to be a TON of us, aren't there?!?!? That is going to be a blast!

Are you going to post your entire schedule in one post for easy reference? If you didn't plan on it...would you mind doing it? :flower3: I'd like to get a note taken in my notes when my park days might match up with other DISers so I can keep an eye out for ya!

Great snow pics Amy! We got about 10 inches that day....but school and everything else went on as planned. My poor boys would give anything for a snow day! :)

Looks like you got a bit more snow that we did.

Have a great time on your trip! You are bound to have lots of fun!

A little bit more snow than you... but we only had one snow day! ;) I think we have a few more snow plows than you. :confused3

My brother, who lives in Belfast, Maine, posted on Facebook that they got 2 feet of snow and it was still snowing. So glad it wasn't me! :rolleyes1

Yikes - It's fun to get the first big snow fall of the season, but a week later I'm ready for spring! :hippie: (Or a visit to the Flower & Garden Festival!)

The boys look really cute, playing out in all the snow. :) Enjoy your Spectrum Moms trip Amy!

Alex only made it for about ten minutes, but Zach stayed out for about an hour! He loved it!

Look at all that fun snow!

We got quite a bit of snow, too, but not as much as you did!

Good luck with all your packing and preparations for the trip!

I'm sure you've gotten your fair share of snow in Chicago!

It's crazy how such a little snow can shut down some of the cities in the south... but I guess if you only get snow once a year or less... If we had to wait for the snow to melt, we'd be home from school until March! :rotfl:

Last days are hard, but we try to visit our favorites to make up for it!

This will be my first trip in a while that I don't have soemthing else booked... and it could be over a year before I get back... depending if we decide we like February vacation week better or April vacation week. I'm sure we'll be discussing it during our trip. :rolleyes1

That's a lot of snow!

I completely agree - it gets all hard and yellow/brown from the salt & cars. It's gross & so inconvenient!

can't believe you had a foot of snow in one day...well maybe I do :confused3 no more snow now though right?

all your plans for the next family trip look good and some impressive eats too! :thumbsup2

Some snow Tuesday morning, flurries Wednesday and some snow Friday while we're in Florida but so far it looks clear for my travel days Thursday & Sunday. :thumbsup2

Really looking forward to our ADRs!

I need to get out there and take a few pictures in the front of the house later today. I'm sure we haven't had any melting yet since it's been FREEZING cold!

Yes - I'll post my full schedule in one post for you & anyone else who wants it. I agree - it's much easier to keep track of everyone that way!

Great snow pics Amy! We got about 10 inches that day....but school and everything else went on as planned. My poor boys would give anything for a snow day! :)

Wow - school with ten inches! Ten inches would have shut us down, but I guess it depends on the timing of the storm too. It started around 4-6am and snowed ALL DAY! Tim cleared the driveway around 3pm and it ended up with another couple inches in the end.

Today is 40 days until we head to Florida!! :cool1: With my girls trip coming up in five days, I thought it would be a good time to start the boys' countdowns. Zach prefers the calendar/poster/Mickey head method while Alex prefers ther paper chain.

Here is Zach's poster, that I messed up. :headache:

IMG_4828.jpg

I set it up as a Sunday through Saturday format so it's easier for us to follow along. I messed up and put the last Mickey head on a Thursday but we leave on a Thursday so the last Mickey head should have been on a Wednesday! This wouldn't have been a big deal if I hadn't already numbered them when I realized my mistake! So I pulled them all off and stuck them on in the appropriate spots. I had to replace a few because in moving them I ended up with some of the same color next to each other. With the extra day, number 40, I stuck it up at the top. Now all was well, except for the tape marks where the wrong number one had been. So I added an extra Mickey head and stuck on Mickey himself. :thumbsup2

Each night Zach will put a Disney sticker over that day's Mickey head.

Here is Alex's:
IMG_4831.jpg

But I wanted to jazz it up a bit... Some of you may recall the paper chain vandalism incident of a year or two ago... I had added Mickey heads to each chain while Alex was at school one day but he came home and flipped out!! :scared1: Then I had to remove the Mickey heads. :sad2: So I didn't dare go that route this year instead I added a tidbit of Disney trivia inside each link. I can't remember who I got the trivia from but it was a very nice Tour Guide Miker (I think... maybe it was a DISer, but I think it was from TGM :confused3). I edited the trivia, adding in some info specific to our trip but used many of the 100 days I had been sent.

IMG_4833.jpg

Each night Alex can take down a link and share the trivia inside - it will be fun for all of us.

I can't wait to get to Florida - this month & next!! This is our thermometer right now:
IMG_4834.jpg

BRRRRR!!! It's cold here! :cold:

love the countdowns Amy...you are such a good Mama to make 1 of each boy the way they like them :goodvibes and brr that is cold...what time of the day was that?

Your countdown calendar is gorgeous, Amy! :thumbsup2

I can't believe your moms trip is so soon! So excited for you. :cool1:

A friend from CT posted how cold it is there today. Guess I can't complain about our 30s. Although it's supposed to go up to 47 today! A heat wave! :woohoo:

Hey there! What fun! Less then a week and off you go! AND then you get back and a month later off you go AGAIN!!! That will be great fun.

I just think your calendar/paper chain countdowns are tooo cute! SO much fun! that is fun to have the trivia and the anticipation there... I think #40 looks fine in the corner!! ;)

Yeah that is some snow, and I remember that from last year. This year you'd be hard pressed to know we ever get snow in the DC area!!

Looking forward to hearing all about your last minute plans and you great times! :goodvibes

And Ending a trip in the MK is always a great way if you have to say TTFN! :thumbsup2

I always love your countdowns, Amy, and I wouldn't have even known you had "messed" up if you hadn't said something! What a great idea to add trivia to the links!
