Give me an AP & look what happens - 2 for 1 PTR!! NEW 3/11 p.63 TR Link

Tuesday 3/1 will be our Magic Kingdom day! This is our main MK day but we'll be back on Saturday afternoon & evening for the MSEP and some rides and possibly again on Sunday morning before we leave. This is the day I'm having the most trouble planning... There's so much to do but I don't want to turn it into a crazy day! We'll start the day early with a pre-park opening breakfast & end the night with Wishes. I know this touring plan is packed full, but it's more of a wish list with the things we miss carrying over to our other MK days.

• Park hours: 9am to 9pm (Wishes at 8pm)
• 8:05am breakfast at Crystal Palace
• DISmeet at It’s a Small World (time TBD - 9:30-9:45?)
• Winnie the Pooh – not FP
• Peter Pan
• Mickey’s Philharmagic
• Liberty Square (HoP & Haunted Mansion)
• Lunch around 11:30 – CHH or Pecos Bills
• Frontierland (BTMRR, Splash Mtn. & TSI)
• Adventureland (Pirates, Jungle Cruise)
• Tomorrowland (Buzz, Space, TTA, CoP, Laugh Floor)
• Break at condo 1:30 – 4:15 (or less)
• 4:15 head to Ohana
• 5:00 ADR at Ohana (ask for MK view if possible)
• Head to MK – arrive around 7? (Dark around 7:30?)
• One or two rides that we missed earlier
• Find spot for Wishes at 7:30
• Wishes at 8pm
• Ride BTMRR/Splash in the dark
• Park closes at 9pm

What do you think? Any suggestions? I know it's a lot & we won't get it all done...

I haven't been here in a while since life just got in the way. So far, our first three days are exactly the same. Even down to we have a Le Cellier ressie at 12:15 if you end up doing Le Cellier on your Epcot day. I also plan on being at that Small World dismeet:cool1:

Great tour plans! MK and Ohanas what a great combo! I think we did it that way too, b/c of the monorail access... OR the boat, I have never done that before. Can you get the boat to MK from there? Ohanas you will love I am sure! The sticky wings are awesome. My kids ate a dozen! Very tasty. Wow! Two weeks and away you go!! And then when you get back it will just be about time to get geared up for trip #2!!!! So you have gotten four trips out of your AP, right? AND great discounts!!! :thumbsup2

Not sure about the boat... I'll have to look into that. I was thiking we'd park at the TTC & ride the monorail to the Poly then monorail over to MK after. Or should we park at the Poly?? Our ADR is at 5pm & MK closes at 9pm... is that too long to park there? Either way, I'm excited to eat at Ohana then head right to MK for Wishes! :cool1:

Yes four trips with my AP! And I thought there would only be two! Ahhhhh the power of an AP! pixiedust:

Plans are looking good! I can't believe how soon our trips are!!:cool1: I am praying for decent weather. I really hate the idea of wearing jeans and sweatshirts all week.
I think the only Disney store near me in the one at the Mall of New Hampshire, is that where you took the pictures? Cute t-shirts!

I hope it's warm too - We've been there in early March before & I don't remember the weather being an issue but we've been going in April/May for several years so I just don't know what to expect. :confused3

Yes - Mall of NH is where we met up - it's the closest Disney store for both of us. Heidi & I live in opposite directions so it's great that we can meet up there!

Hi Amy!!:goodvibes

Finally getting a little DIS time!! I hope you and your family had a nice holiday!!:)

Your touring plans look great!!It looks like everything is coming together!:thumbsup2 I can't wait to hear how you like Ohana. Even though our trip isn't until next year. I'm already planning a dinner there on our MK day as a nice little break before we head back to watch Wishes.

:woohoo: for under 50 days until your trip!! And....less than 2 weeks for your Moms trip!:dance3: Soooo exciting!!!

Hi Angie!! Our holidays were nice - I hope yours were too!

Ohana should be fun! Can't wait to give it a try!

Down to 47 days & 12 days!! I've finished the boys' countdowns & we'll start them at day 40!! :yay:

I haven't been here in a while since life just got in the way. So far, our first three days are exactly the same. Even down to we have a Le Cellier ressie at 12:15 if you end up doing Le Cellier on your Epcot day. I also plan on being at that Small World dismeet:cool1:

Welcome back!! Do you subscribe to Tour Guide Mike?? I do & based my itinerary on his suggestions. :thumbsup2 That's funny that we have the same Le Cellier ADR!

My plan as of now is to eat at Teppan Edo on Monday & Le Cellier on Saturday. I made back-up ADRs on opposite days until I see the new Le Cellier menu. If we can't get a lunch fillet or they do something crazy with the prices, we'll eat at Le Cellier Monday (hopefully before the menu changes) and Teppan Edo on Saturday. :thumbsup2 I'm hoping the Le Cellier lunch menu doesn't change much so we can go to Zach's favorite, Teppan Edo, earlier in the week. I don't want to risk missing it due to plans changing or whatever.

The Small World DIS meet sounds like fun!! I hope to be there but we'll be playing it by ear based on our breakfast & how much the rest of my family protests hanging out with a bunch of strangers!

Sorry I missed a couple days...

Moving on to our touring plan for day five:

On Thursday 3/3 we'll be attempting to sleep a little late, :confused3 enjoying some resort time & slowing down the pace a bit. We don't have any specific plans for the morning but our afternoon/evening will be spent at Epcot. We may try to take the boys to Downtown Disney, which would be a first for them in a long time (We met family there in 2006 for lunch at RFC) & would be a pretty brief excursion. Zach has gotten into legos more lately & I think he'd enjoy the Lego store. I'm sure they would both love Once Upon a Toy & The World of Disney. We'll see... We may just enjoy a lazy morning & some resort time. It's pretty unlikely that the boys will sleep much later than normal but we'll give it a try. ;)

On our first Epcot day, I forgot to write "Buy Passports" into our touring plan... we'll be trying that out for this boys this time. Have any of you done that before?

• Open Morning/Epcot pm – hours 9am to 9pm (Illuminations at 9pm)
• DTD? Pool Time?
• Arrive at Epcot around 2pm
• Pick up Kim Possible FP
• Visit Innoventions?
• Tour WS Canada - Morocco
• 4:50 dinner at Les Chefs de France (Remy makes final rounds at 5:20)
• DISmeet with Dsnygrl1205
• Get some snacks for Illuminations
• Find a spot for Illuminations around 8:30pm (location TBD after Jan trip)
• Illuminations at 9pm

We can add in anything we didn't get accomplished on Monday but I don't have a lot of goals built in on this day in keeping with our slower pace for the day. :thumbsup2

I made a countdown poster for Zach & a countdown paper chain for Alex. I finished them over Christmas break but they don't start until day 40. With "J" visiting this week there was no need to start it sooner but I wanted to start it before I leave for my Spectrum Moms trip so they have their trip to look forward to while I'm gone. So they'll start those on the 15th, which is next Saturday. They know I have an upcoming moms trip... but they don't know it's Disney & they don't know the dates yet. I didn't want them to fixate on it so I'll wait until next weekend to tell them the details (probably leaving out the Disney part unless they specifically ask if it's Disney).

I'll try to get pictures of the countdowns up this week!!

In other news, Zach tested for his orange belt in karate on Monday afternoon. He passed & we attended his belt graduation last night. It's was a lot of fun. The kids all did some of the things they've learned in class then received their new belts.

Thursday 3/3 has my family going to Typhoon Lagoon (again) after a buffet breakfast at either Cape May or Captain's Grille. We'll only go to Cape May if I think they can handle the characters from at least afar.
Dinner is at 'Ohanas followed by a monorail ride and watching Wishes from the beach at the Poly.

I need to come up with Plan B if the weather isn't going to be good for the water park. Any suggestions??

Hey there! It really is fun to be gearing up for one trip and preplanning another! YOU are double excited to be sure!

RE the Poly and Ohanas -- definitely PARK there. In my mind it is the best plan. No, they won't know that you are there for a "longer than normal amount of time" or do anything about parking. You have a legitimate dinner there, and that is that! SO I would go with that decision, b/c then you can take the monorail or the boat.... I am not crazy, right? There is a boat??!! The only downside is you have to wait for the monorail and two stops, but that isn't too bad, and the timing should be fine, meaning not massive crowds!!! :thumbsup2

You had your baby right around when I had mine, right?! I'll be at the DisMeet too!

Hmmm... That's a tough one... we've hit the parks even in the rain, but that's tough with little ones. We would probably hang out at the resort & cut our park time bit.

Ohana & Wishes - sounds like a great combo! ;)

I am totally double excited!!! :hyper: If I can just survive the next week and a half of work... being a bookkeeper is so busy this time of year! :faint:

OK so maybe we'll just park at the Poly & take the boat and/or monorail to and from. That will save us a bit of time. And yes - there is definitely a boat between the Poly & MK - just checked the WDW website! :thumbsup2

You had your baby right around when I had mine, right?! I'll be at the DisMeet too!

I thought you were talking to me! :rotfl::lmao::rotfl2:

On Friday March 4th, we'll start park hopping!! We're usually big park hoppers but are trying out a new strategy this year and will dedicate a full day to each park early in the week. Even though we're hopping, this will be our main Animal Kingdom day. We will visit a few favorites on arrival day but today will be the day to catch everything else... which isn't usually a lot for us! We'll spend the afternoon/evening at DHS.

• AK morning – hours 9am to 6pm/DHS afternoon – hours 9am to 7pm
• Expedition Everest
• Kilimanjaro Safari
• Walking Trail #2
• DiVine
• Festival of the Lion King (10:00 & 11:00am, 12:00 or 1:30)
• Kali River Rapids?
• Lunch – FTBBQ?
• Leave AK by 1:00
• Maybe a mid-day break: Relax at resort 1:30-3:30
• Head to DHS by 3:30pm (or earlier if no break)
• Ride a few favorites
• 5:00 dinner at Mama Melrose’s (a first for us)
• One or two last rides

• Walking Trail #2

You know I'm laughing about this one. #2 huh??? I looked for it on the map but I couldn't find it! :rotfl2:

This day has us at MK in the morning, break, dinner at Beaches & Cream and then Epcot. Right now I'm not feeling B&C. Maybe I'll change it :confused3

:rotfl: I'm hoping we'll explore one of the walking trails on Sunday then the other on Friday. So I'm not sure which one will fall on which day, hence the #1 & #2. ;)

The only thing about B&C that would make me nervous is no ADRs... who knows how long the wait could be. :confused3 But honestly I don't know much about B&C so don't listen to me.

Hi Amy! I had a ton of catching up to do, but I'm back on track. Your plans look great....I adore Epcot as well!

I love all the flashback pics...it just shows how FAST the time goes by! Your boys sure are growing up. :goodvibes My oldest turns 16 this month...YIKES!! :scared1:

Of course I have back Plans if the wait was going to be too long but the cool thing is you can wait outside and wander around a bit. :thumbsup2

I just seem to be second guessing almost all our plans but I'm trying to leave it alone until after we get back from the moms trip. I think that will really help me finalize the plans for the family.

Hi Missy!! Wow - 16!! Time definitey does fly!! I'm surrpised how little my boys seem when I look back at those pictures too!

I'm glad I have the moms trip to keep me distracted from the family trip. I would probably be making changes if I had the time! :rolleyes1

Saturday 3/5 is our last full park day! We'll be splitting it between Epcot & MK, unless we decide to spend the whole day at MK. :confused3

• Epcot am – hours 9am to 9pm/MK pm – hours 9am to 9pm (MSEP 7pm/Wishes 8pm)
• Character Connection (if we haven't already)
• Innoventions (if we haven't already or want more)
• Morning snack
• Favorite Rides (Soarin, TT)
• Anything we missed or want to do again
• Le Cellier at 11:30 or Teppan Edo at noon
• Leave Epcot after lunch
• Mid-Day break
• Head to MK by 4:00
• Dinner at MK
• Visit any attractions we missed previously (Tomorrowland?)
• Find spot for parade by 6:30pm (or 8:30 for late parade)
• 7pm parade (maybe 9pm parade if added)

That's it! Up next: Our last day. :sad2:

Good! Another chance for us to meet up.

This is our last full day too. We'll be going to AK in the morning and MK in the evening. I do have a back-up ADR for 'Ohana's this night if we couldn't go earlier in the week...but I'm not ruling out eating there a second time in a week if when we went earlier in the week and it was a good experience. If not it will counter service.

I did update my PTR.....thanks for the push. :goodvibes

This past weekend was the first time I ever hopped! :thumbsup2 And I only hopped on one day. But, it was still cool.

I ate at Teppan Edo for this first time during this trip too. :goodvibes

We have always been park hoppers but I am tempted to give this trip a shot without it. Just a little bit of an adjustment to my touring plan and we should be able to get by w/out. I can always add it if I feel like we need it but that $200 savings is looking nice since I'm splurging on the resort.
My fiance and I did an adults only trip last July and while my DS knew we were going on a trip I didn't tell him where until the last possible moment. I was feeling so guilty for leaving him home! But he was surprisingly ok with the whole thing.:thumbsup2 I think as parents we feel worse about these things than the kids do!
