Give Kids the World

Because of an earlier thread, we used some of our points and donated a night at OKW to Give Kids the World. It was easy to do and I know was greatly appreciated. Consider using some of your extra points for this very worthy cause. You will make a family very, very happy in what has to be one of the toughest times in their lives.

That's a really good idea and very nice of you. My DD has helped take children on shopping trips for Make A Wish and felt very inspired by these kids. She said every kid allways thought about the whole family when shopping. These kids are amazing. Susan

It is so easy to do and I know many of us have left over spare points that we banked and cannot move again. It means so much to those families.

Last year, at exactly this time, I was one of those families. I cannot tell you how much that experience meant to us. My daughter, who was only 5, had cancer...and lived a life of only chemo, radiation and hospital for a year. It was a WONDERFUL trip, and we truly appreciated everything. I thank you from the bottom of my heart, you ought to be commended. Because she loved the Beach Club so much, we have bought a contract...we just sent in the closing check! It is because of generous people like you, that children with cancer have a chance to be a "regular kid"...thank you, thank you, thank you! p.s. she is doing great now, just finishing a year of Kindergarten!

My daughter is also a cancer survivor. She is now 14 years old and doing great. She was 12 when she was diagnosed with bone cancer. She had a total knee replacement done in Feb 2003 after 4 months of chemotherapy, followed by 6 more months of chemotherapy and phyical therapy. The Make-A-Wish Foundation granted her wish to go tho WDW for MNSSHP in Oct 2003 and we stayed at the Poly. It was a wonderful trip. We are DVC Members. Donating your extra points to such a wonderful organization as Give The Kids The World is something that families with sick children will appreciate and be thankful for forever. There are so many children today that are being diagnosed with life threatening illnesses...it is a heartbreaking ordeal for families to go through. But, with people with hearts like yours.....it gives them a week to come to the "Happiest Place on Earth" and get away from it all. Some Airlines will also let you donate your miles to these types of organizations to help get these families to their childs' wish trip. So, Thank You! For being special caring people and donating your points and/or miles for all of these children.
