Hey!
I'm looking for some girly stuff to do on a non-park day in late Sept with 2 3yr olds. My friend & her 3yr old girl are meeting me & my 3yr old girl. I just don't want BBB b/c I just know my daughter would not like the hair-do...she can barely stand me doing her hair for 30 seconds. I've tried to get into dinner at 1900 Park Fare that day (9/29), but no luck. I don't think they'd really get the tea thing. We're taking a break from parks on this particular day so it can't be anything in a park.

Any ideas?? Thanks!!

Afternoon tea at the Grand Floridian?
Breakfast at Cindy's castle?
Breakfast at Crystal Palace?
Princess Breakfast at Akershus?
:cutie:

What about going for Manicures and pedicures at the grand floridian?

What about ice cream sundaes at Beaches and Cream and/or make your own mouse ear hats at DTD?

Shopping at World of Disney in Downtown Disney? Huge princess section in that store. There is also a make your own t-shirt and make your own mickey ears in Downtown. My DD made Hannah Montana Mickey ears last year.

Ice cream at Ghiardelli's (also in Downtown) is a favorite of mine and DD. My DD also likes to have lunch at the Rainforest Cafe.

This day in particular, we are not doing a park...but I am trying all the time to get in at Cinderella's Royal Table on the days we're going to MK...that is my dream!!

I love the pedicure ideas at Grand Floridian...that way my husband could ride the monorail with our boys while he waits for us!

Downtown Disney princess shopping and ice cream sounds GREAT too. That reminds me....is it any more expensive to buy a princess outfit there than it is at the Disney store in my local mall??

Thanks!!

Oh, I forgot to ask....where can you do the make your own shirt thing at Downtown Disney??? Fun!!

What about O'hanas at the Poly? The girls and the guys can go and I hear it is awesome!!! You can either do dinner w/a Luau theme, or breakfast with Leo & Stitch. Or what about Whispering Canyon, very kid friendly!!!

The T shirt place is located across from the Christmas Store at Downtown Disney, a few doors down from the Rainforest Cafe. You choose size, color, fit of t-shirt, get to pick the graphics (characters, etc.) and can write pretty much anything you want on it. You do it all on a computer screen, submit the order, pay and pick up your t-shirt when it is ready.

About princesses dresses, the prices are about the same at the Disney Store as they are at Downtown (assuming the same dress). However, I have NEVER seen a princess dress on sale in WDW they way you can find them sometimes at the Disney Store (especially after Halloween!). We always bring ours from home.

My DD was 3 last year when we went, she loved the make your own crown and wand in once upon a toy at DTD. The make your own crown set up is inside a little castle, she thought that was awesome.

I took my DD 4 to BBB last year, but we didn't get her hair done. They couldn't reduce the price but they gave us an extra set of fancy mickey hair clips. My DD hates getting her hair done too!
She still enjoyed the nails, makeup and costume!

My daughter is a girly kinda kid. :cutie: She enjoyed going to the all star resorts and taking pix of the giant icons (dalmations, beauty and the beast, etc.).:thumbsup2
She enjoyed the Wonderland Tea Party @ the Grand Floridian:lovestruc (this is the less $$ of the GF tea party options. We did NOT attend My Disney Girl due to cost). She enjoyed playing in the sand on the beaches @ GF, Beach/Yacht Clubs and Poly :cool2:(you don't have to be staying to play on the beach with buckets and shovels). Swimming @ resort pools and playing on resort playgrounds always fun.:woohoo:
We took a Disney Transportation Tour (self created) of all the Deluxe resorts, one time.;)
We had mommy daughter luncheon tea at the GF cafe.:cloud9:
There is a free movie in the evenings at Fort Wilderness Resort and also at ASMU near the pool. popcorn:: The one at Fort Wilderness starts like a Campfire and characters are often in attendance for that portion.:yay: No charge for those events.:teacher:
The electric water pageant is fun to watch from the beaches but might be to late in the evening for the little ones.
I think all of the properties have playgrounds to visit.
Many CM's will stop to visit (doormen, bell boys, monorail attendants) and often share stickers! :flower3: We once made a homemade tee shirt that read, "I am collecting stickers today!" :cheer2: We placed one sticker on the sleeve and by the end of the day the child had stickers on shirt, pants, arms, legs and cheeks! pirate: Never have to enter a park to enjoy this stuff.

If all else fails, gift shop shopping is fun!:confused3
