Girls Trip One More Time...Final Plans, The End 5/23

I love the idea of a pool morning!!! :cool1: YAY for FP for the Frozen ladies!!! And a big :thumbsup2 to Day 4. I have to say Kathy, I've been going back and forth on whether or not to get the memory maker for August....looking at all of your pictures, I may go ahead and do it!!! :goodvibes

So happy all is well with Mark

The pool looks like a fun one!

I love the HS plans. I'm trying to get a Mama Melrose Fantasmic package for our trip too.

First off, glad to hear that Mark is doing well after his surgery!

Loving the looks of your Day 4 plans. As you know, we think that everybody needs a day that starts out with lazing around the resort. The pool looks so inviting!

And that is why FP+ is so nice. You can relax in the morning then get to DHS and already have a time for ToT & TSM. :thumbsup2

Love the old school pictures! :)

I'm off starting today until Monday, took a few extra days off to spend some time with the boys during their Spring Break. And this also gives me
a chance to catch up on the DISboards.

Off to read! :)

Great plans for day 4!
And a great use of your FP+. May I say that I LOVE all the photos from last year! :thumbsup2

Smart choice moving the Anna & Elsa meet, I'm sure the girls will love it!

Having a pool morning or afternoon isn't something that we normally did, but we started to a few trips ago and we love it! I figure that it lets me relax a bit on vacation, and I get to spend time at the resort that I'm paying for :rotfl:

Great FP+ selections for DHS!

And I'm glad that Mark is feeling so much better!

Kathy, I love your plans to relax a bit by the pool before hitting DHS. :thumbsup2 Excellent choice of FP+ with ToT, TSM and Star Tours; however, I see you have no plans to ride RnRc. :rotfl2:

Your going to have to text me and give me your thoughts on Mama Melrose this way I can be excited about it if good and prepare myself if not so good. I have never been to Mama Melrose nor in my previous visits have I stayed long enough to see Fantasmic. This year we booked the Fantasmic meal at Mama Melrose and will go see Fantasmic, finally.

Hi Mary.
Very nice to stay at OKW.
Love the boat.
Eww, warm PB&J sandwiches.
Love the frame photo in MK.
Day 1 plans look good.
YUM! Yak & Yeti.
Day 2 sounds good. Love that park for photo taking.
YUM! Chefs de France. Love me some Escargot.
WOW, first time for Kona. Enjoy.
Day 3 sounds good.
Good idea with the Elsa and Anna FP.
Ooh Star Tours. Love that ride.
Day 14 looks good. I will admit I can totally skip DHS.
I am caught up again.

I'm so glad they moved Anna and Elsa and give FP+ for that meet and greet. I doubt we'd ever bother, but how nice for people who want to!

Love OKW! Such a laid back feel around the resort - and great pool! I like the idea that with FP+ you can have a leisurely pool morning now!

I'm getting to the point that I'd rather skip DHS than AK now. Used to be the other way around. I hope they make some improvements to DHS. It needs "something". I don't do the thrill rides there, so it's a little boring to me.

Good luck to Avery in her meet and congrats to Cayley for making her team!! :yay::cheer2:

Good work on the hot ticket FP+ for A & E.

Still need to do Chefs.

Glad Mark is feeling even better.

:wave2:

Kathy, love your Days 1-4. There's just something so magical about hitting up MK on the first day. :goodvibes Fantastic that Mary was able to get FP+ for Anna & Elsa! :woohoo: Just love that movie... of course had to buy it and we have probably it 5 times since then.. got the soundtrack too, the music is so great!

Because of you talking about Yak & Yeti we are trying to fit it in, Sam and I are planning on 1-1/2 days at AK so we can get our beloved FTB and Y&Y. :) (She says shes going to try Dinosaur)

btw great PP pix! Always a pleasure to see old fav again :goodvibes

We've enjoyed our meals at MM - hope you all do as well. Really like the pix of Cayley and old stitch on the pavement.:thumbsup2

Haven't been back to OKW since before the refurb, but would like too. Love that castle slide ... it's so much fun!

Had a lunch at Chefs for the first time last Sept, we ended up both getting the onion soup and splitting the mac n'cheese then getting the sorbets dessert. Everything was so very de-lish! (course we still picked up something from the bakery for later....:))

Said it on FB but will here too... very thankful Mark is feeling better.

Thanks for all the nice comments about the girls. I am very blessed :) Cayley is hoping to achieve a big skill in the gym today-the round off back handspring!! It is really the stepping stone for all her tumbling passes for Trampoline and Tumbling. She has had the ability to do one for about a month but fear has held her back. She tried one on Sat but wants to do it for her favorite coach today.

Mary, thought I had posted about your girls but did not..great intro..and congrats to them both for their athletic prowess! :thumbsup2 The girls are not only cut and adorable but smart too! It's nice looking at the PP pix from the beginning of your trips to the present. Kids just grow up too fast don't they? :flower3:

I'll have no problem with the summers as long as I have AC and a pool. :)

Same here! :thumbsup2

I really have to get my butt back to AK this summer...more great plans (and pics) :thumbsup2

Yes you do. And I'll be there to make sure you your butt does.

Up next, you are taking me where? I've not been there in 14 years.

Are you going to the dark side? Inquiring minds want to know. :rotfl2:

More great plans. I was going to say something else but I just blanked. Ugh - hate when that happens.

Cayley is so cute in the picture pointing at Stitch (no - that wasn't it. :rotfl:)

Oh YEAH - I am really looking forward to my upcoming stay at OKW. I love it there and I love that pool!

Yay for getting a earlier time for Elsa and Anna!

I'm thrilled, Ann.

Your day 4 sounds great. Nice to relax by the pool in the morning! That pool was closed our entire stay in January. I am looking forward to some pool time there in the future, myself :goodvibes

Mary, the girls and I don't get enough pool time. The girls love to swim so I'm glad we are fitting this in. Plus as Mary says further below, we can't do the commando anymore.

Oh that's great that you guys got an earlier day and time for Anna and Elsa, that's one you wouldn't want to miss for sure!

Absolutely not! And I plan on getting in the pictures too!

I love the sound of the morning at the pool and then to DHS, we did the same this last trip and it was so relaxing!

With it being a longer trip, I definitely think some relaxing is needed.

Sounds like a good set of DHS plans to me, of course I'd swap out ToT for RnR ;)

:lmao::lmao::lmao: we are opposites on those two attractions.

I've yet to eat at Mama Melrose. It always makes the list and always gets cut! :lmao:

Sent from my iPad using DISBoards

I hope you keep it on the list one of these times. I'll let you know how it is this next time...I've not been since 2008.

Ohhhh I cannot wait to hear how your M&G for Ana and Elsa go!!! Pool down time sounds heavenly!! especially when i know yo will have some sort of drink.. :thumbsup2

I will be sure to write all about it. Oh wait, Mary is doing the TR this time. ;) Yes, I love some pool time...as long as I can sit on my you know what with an adult beverage in hand.

the girls are just so adorable. excited to see how much they have grown since what a couple of months ago?? I am sure they grew a couple more inches! :rotfl:

I'm afraid one of these days they are going to be as tall as me. :(

Glad to hear Mark is on the mend, and doing good. Hope everything else is better too..

Let's leave it at "Mark is doing better." There's things going on with Andy that are very upsetting (he's not hurt or sick or anything...it relates to his NOT getting hired for a teaching job that has me ticked off and Alisha's family is going through a very rough time now with a very sick family member.

YAY for a happy easter!!!

It really was...especially having the kids with us.

Yay for some pool time! Looks like a fun day at DHS!

Thanks, Lisa.

Happy mark us feeling better and you had a great Easter!
We had brunch with family and hung out!

Thank you; glad you had a good day with family.

First off, I am glad Mark's surgery went well and he is feeling better! Didn't we have such wonderful weather for Easter. I think you are right, maybe winter is finally over.

Thank you! It was a beautiful day on Easter. I think winter is over, but I wish it would warm up a bit and stay that way.

So glad you were able to move your E&A FP. It looks like they opened up a lot more time slots this week. We were able to move ours to a better time as well. I am now just hoping that the 7DMT opens up!

I haven't followed it...that's Mary's job, but glad she was able to change it. I hope the Mine Train opens too.

We will be overlapping a bit so far! We are heading over to MK EMH's on June 1 as well, after our first visit to Ohana and we have a Fantasmic package on June 2. We originally were booked at Mama Melrose, but when the Star Wars dining opened up we moved to H&V Fantasmic to see Jedi Mickey!

I really hope we can say hello on one of those overlapping days. With the kids, I think your choice for the Star Wars dining was an excellent move.

STudio day sounds great after your pool morning. We love Mama Melrose and we had the best waiter in Dec. I love the chicken parm.

Thanks, Judy. I'm not a fan of Chicken parmesan, but I know Mark is for our September trip. We've always had good service when we've been there.

First off, glad Mr Mark is doing so well!! Also glad your Easter was nice. Fun updates. Cayley looks so little in those pics. We have not eaten at Chefs-am excited to try it. Lots of down and pool time. I am getting to old for "comando" touring LOL. We also have not seen Fantasmic at WDW. Rained out x 3.

Thanks, Mary; he's really recovered well. Yes, she does look little, and I'm afraid she will look even littler when I see her in 35 days. We will have to find some more pool time. I'm definitely too old for "commando." No rain for Fantasmic this year...we are definitely seeing it!

In other news, Avery has her final meet of the season on Sun. Big Regional Meet with girls from N Ca, S Ca, Nevada, Utah and Az. She had an outstanding State Meet and is excited. Ms Cayley also found out that she made the "official" T&T team. Has worked hard to get there and as far as I know is the youngest on the team. We are finishing up homeschooling for the year. Both girls are working a grade level ahead in LA and reading. Reviewing math-oh how I am not a fan of common core....

Good luck to Avery on Sunday! I am so proud of Cayley! I am so glad my kids didn't have the common core...and I don't even know what it is. :lmao:

:sad:Btw good for Mark for cutting back and trying to lose weight.:thumbsup2 I am working with a nutritionist and I'm down 22 lbs, losing about a pound a week. Two big hints.. eat protein for breakfast and limit carbs. all day. It has Ben much easier than I thought. I told her I don't feel like I'm dieting, just learning to eat right. I already feel the difference. Of course this week I'm sick so I feel lousy:sad:

I am going to talk to my doctor as I know I need to lose a little weight. The problem is I am very fussy and don't do veggies and fruit.

:goodvibes

I guess I should probably decide on the Memory Maker soon so I get the cheaper price.

So happy all is well with Mark

Thank you...me too!

The pool looks like a fun one!

It's a great pool with a great slide.

I love the HS plans. I'm trying to get a Mama Melrose Fantasmic package for our trip too.

I hope you get it; we aren't fans of the other restaurants that offer it and we know it's not "gourmet" Italian but it hits the spot.

First off, glad to hear that Mark is doing well after his surgery!

Thanks, Lisa. :)

Loving the looks of your Day 4 plans. As you know, we think that everybody needs a day that starts out with lazing around the resort. The pool looks so inviting!

At my age, those "lazing days" help in the long run.

And that is why FP+ is so nice. You can relax in the morning then get to DHS and already have a time for ToT & TSM. :thumbsup2

Absolutely! And it's the only thing I like about it.

Love the old school pictures! :)

Aren't they fun? I still look back at the old CSR thread to see Juliana's younger day photos.

I'm off starting today until Monday, took a few extra days off to spend some time with the boys during their Spring Break. And this also gives me
a chance to catch up on the DISboards.

It's so good to have you here, friend. I hope you and the boys are having a good Spring Break together.

Off to read! :)

Come back soon.

Great plans for day 4!
And a great use of your FP+. May I say that I LOVE all the photos from last year! :thumbsup2

Thanks, Karin! I have to get back to your TR's...I think you and Jen are the last ones I have to catch up on after the last week with all that was going on.

Day 4 plans look great!! Love TSM!!I will eve Star Tous!!!

Thanks, Rosie. I wish I could do Star Tours; it was always a favorite but my tummy just doesn't like it anymore.

Smart choice moving the Anna & Elsa meet, I'm sure the girls will love it!

Krysten, I am sure they will (as will I).

Having a pool morning or afternoon isn't something that we normally did, but we started to a few trips ago and we love it! I figure that it lets me relax a bit on vacation, and I get to spend time at the resort that I'm paying for :rotfl:

Isn't it the best? It just makes you feel a little refreshed for the parks.

Great FP+ selections for DHS!

I'm happy with the choices.

And I'm glad that Mark is feeling so much better!

Us too!

Kathy, I love your plans to relax a bit by the pool before hitting DHS. :thumbsup2 Excellent choice of FP+ with ToT, TSM and Star Tours; however, I see you have no plans to ride RnRc. :rotfl2:

Thanks, Bob. A little relaxation never hurt anyone. Nope, and you won't see RnRc; you are lucky you will see EE later on in the trip.

No problem. Mark and I have always enjoyed it, and I'm sure Mary and the girls and I will love it too. You must see Fantasmic...I LOVE it.

Hi Mary.
Very nice to stay at OKW. One of my top three resorts.

Love the boat. Sure beats the buses.

Eww, warm PB&J sandwiches. I don't like PB&J and I bet they are worse warm.

Love the frame photo in MK. I love that they added those.

Day 1 plans look good. Thanks

YUM! Yak & Yeti. I agree!

Day 2 sounds good. Love that park for photo taking. So many things to take photos of.

YUM! Chefs de France. Love me some Escargot. Ewww...now that is something I cannot eat.

WOW, first time for Kona. Enjoy. I've eaten breakfast there a number of times now, but never dinner. What do you recommend?

Day 3 sounds good. Thanks.

Good idea with the Elsa and Anna FP. Absolutely!

Ooh Star Tours. Love that ride. I wish I did. :(

Day 14 looks good. I will admit I can totally skip DHS. I could too except for TOT, TSM, Walt's Story and the Animation Studio.

I am caught up again.

:yay::yay::yay:

I'm so glad they moved Anna and Elsa and give FP+ for that meet and greet. I doubt we'd ever bother, but how nice for people who want to!

Yes; when we saw the lines at Epcot, it was insane. And there was no shade at all for those poor people.

Love OKW! Such a laid back feel around the resort - and great pool! I like the idea that with FP+ you can have a leisurely pool morning now!

Exactly why we love it! So relaxing and love the theme. And that is the best idea for the FP+.

I'm getting to the point that I'd rather skip DHS than AK now. Used to be the other way around. I hope they make some improvements to DHS. It needs "something". I don't do the thrill rides there, so it's a little boring to me.

Mark and I are the same way. They really need to do something at the Studios to entice me to spend more than half a day there.

Good luck to Avery in her meet and congrats to Cayley for making her team!! :yay::cheer2:

Aren't those girls great?

Good work on the hot ticket FP+ for A & E.

Yes, good work, Mary!

Still need to do Chefs.

Yes, you must...so good!

Glad Mark is feeling even better.

Thanks, Pat.

:wave2:

:wave2: Janet; good to see you again.

Thanks; Mary worked out a great touring plan! I've got the soundtrack on my Iphone and listen to it every day on my train ride into work.

Because of you talking about Yak & Yeti we are trying to fit it in, Sam and I are planning on 1-1/2 days at AK so we can get our beloved FTB and Y&Y. :) (She says shes going to try Dinosaur)

Oh that's good...I think you'll like it. Tell Sam that Avery did it and she survived.

btw great PP pix! Always a pleasure to see old fav again :goodvibes

It's fun to look at them and remember the times we spent together.

We've enjoyed our meals at MM - hope you all do as well. Really like the pix of Cayley and old stitch on the pavement.:thumbsup2

Ive always enjoyed them int he past. And Cayley is like me...not a big fan of Stitch, but that is a great pic.

Haven't been back to OKW since before the refurb, but would like too. Love that castle slide ... it's so much fun!

I hope you get back; I really love OWK.

Had a lunch at Chefs for the first time last Sept, we ended up both getting the onion soup and splitting the mac n'cheese then getting the sorbets dessert. Everything was so very de-lish! (course we still picked up something from the bakery for later....:))

I think Andy had the Mac & Cheese in 2012 and he loved it. I never pass up the onion soup.

Said it on FB but will here too... very thankful Mark is feeling better.

Thanks, friend.

:flower3:

They grow up way too fast!

Same here! :thumbsup2

The less clothes I have to put on, the better.

Yes you do. And I'll be there to make sure you your butt does.

Janet, I'm counting on you to make sure Jeanette gets there!

Hi Janet!!! Glad to see you here!! Can you believe Carol and I will be there in 2 weeks!!!!

Yes it is! Rosie, I can't believe your trip is two weeks away!

Are you going to the dark side? Inquiring minds want to know. :rotfl2:

No, nothing that drastic; especially since we won't have a car and I could NOT do the roller coasters on the dark side.

More great plans. I was going to say something else but I just blanked. Ugh - hate when that happens.

I do that all the time!

Cayley is so cute in the picture pointing at Stitch (no - that wasn't it. :rotfl:)

Yes she is; my other favorite is the balloon.

Oh YEAH - I am really looking forward to my upcoming stay at OKW. I love it there and I love that pool!

You are the one who convinced me I would like it if memory served me right.
