Welcome everyone! Everyone includes my long time readers, recent readers and any one new who has decided to join this crazy group of friends Ive met here on the DIS. And I mean crazy in the best way. I LOVE my DIS friends...they have been there in good times, and bad times. Theyve given me their love and support over the years. And Ive had the pleasure of meeting several of them and even having a meal with some of them.
As the title indicates, this is a girls trip. This trip will be Mary (MaryAZ here on the boards), her daughters Avery and Cayley and me.
I will introduce you to me just to give the relatively new people a recap. Once I do my introductions, Ill give you our dates and where we are staying. Then, hopfully, Mary will come in and do her intros, and then we can get this thing started (it may take Mary a couple of days as oldest daughter is competing at the State Meet for Gymnastics right now).
Im KatMark here on the DIS and Kathy in real life (the Mark of KatMark will NOT be joining us on this trip hes not a girl!).
Ive been a member of the DIS since 2007. As mentioned above, I have met the best of friends here on the DIS. In fact, I met my true best friend, Nicki, here on the DIS. We talk every day, we visit Nicki and her husband down in Naples every year and she is the sister I never had.
I also met Mary here on the DIS. We hooked up at the Coronado Springs Resort where we were both staying in 2010. Mark and I hung out with her and her girls a couple of days of the trip. The next year, we luckily planned our trips to overlap yet again and we got to meet her husband and his parents, and Andy (our oldest son) got to meet their whole family.
Mary and I started our girls trip in 2012. This will be our third girls trip and our last although Im hoping somewhere down the line we can do them again. But dont cry for us because the planning stages are at work for Mark and I to go to Phoenix next year where Mary and family live and spend some time with them there and then go to Disneyland where we have never been. Mary and the girls also, as many of you know, were with us for our recent trip this past December. Cayley, the youngest, sort of invited herself. Gotta love my Cayley.

So back to me.
I have worked at the same law firm in Chicago for 38+ years and for the same man! I have been married to Mark for almost 31 years. We are the parents of two wonderful young men and also the "mother and father"-in-law of a beautiful daughter. In my spare time (which has been harder and harder to find lately), I love to DIS, see what is going on with friends on FB, bake and watch our favorite shows (NCIS, Criminal Minds, Chicago Fire and Chicago PD, etc).
Here is me:

My wonderful hubby:

Our oldest son, Andy, with his girlfriend of almost three years, Des (doesn't this picture of Des make you think "Disney wedding?")

Our youngest, Mark, with his wife (our daughter-in-law) of 10 months, Alisha

Our dates are for arrival on Thursday, May 29, and departure on Friday, June 6. This will be our LONGEST girls' trip to date and I can't wait.
We will be staying in a studio at Old Key West...one of my favorite resorts (thanks to Mary owning DVC). I believe she has asked for a studio near the Hospitality House.
I will leave it here until Mary can get to her intros.
Thank you to all who join our planning.
