That is where I went with you and Angie two trip ago! I do remember it being very tasty!

It was very good!

Yes, it is! Thanks for the reminder, I think I'll take my mom there for breakfast one of the days we're there. :thumbsup2

I was thinking the same thing - I may need to fit that in somewhere (didn't make it in October)

Oh darn, I think it will be closed, BUT Jolly Holiday Cafe is supposed to open in January, we should try it! Although I don't think it's a sit-down be-served kinda place ;)

Jolly Holiday Cafe? I wonder what that's going to be?

Jolly Holiday Cafe? I wonder what that's going to be?

I thought it was supposed to be the new bakery since they are taking out the Main St. Bakery. I think they will have the same items they currently have for breakfast, but with more seating??? But hey, I could be wrong...it's happens once in awhile :rolleyes1.

Good morning ladies . Last night was fun around these parts. There was VERY strong winds and it sounded like a tornado was ripping through my neighborhood. We have not had power since 2am this morning and when I left for work, it was still off :guilty:. I really hope it goes on soon, because I don't want my food to go bad! I will say it was not fun getting ready by candle light and a laptop screen ;).

We also had some damage. Lots of roof singles blew off and then there is a whole section that ripped off. Laila's sandbox has disappeared with only traces of sand scattered around the backyard. I think the lid blew off and eventually all the sand came out. Once it was empty, it decided to take flight to someone else's house .

Along with the regular debris, there are several uprooted trees everywhere. It was very exciting and when I get home, I'll have to start the clean-up.

:lmao:

Just realized I was signed in on hubby's profile......lol Probably would have wondered who the heck this was....... :rotfl2:

It's LAURIE aka DizNee Luver!!

YAY......I'm going, I'm going!!!! Just bought airline tickets for me & my son Tyler!! He's thrilled to be going & it will be nice for him to get a break from the kiddos as well. This will give me a family connection so I don't get as home sick & hopefully no panic attack this time!!!

Happy December 1st, everyone! :goodvibes

Sunday: WCT for WOC seating for lunch
I am so lost. LOL I thought Sunday for lunch was White Water Snacks, followed by drinks at Trader Sam's? :confused3

I admit to not paying much attention to Sunday since I was always planning to leave Sunday morning. But I thought since it was a big breakfast at Surf's Up, that they decided to keep it a light/late lunch at WWS, and then walk over in time for dusk to enjoy drinks at Trader Sam's.

Did this change? Or is there a new, separate group going to WCT? If so, let me know what time for WCT and if you are making your own reservations? Thanks. Also since it might only be you, Jill, and Kandace for Ariel's what time do you want, and are you making your own reservations for that?

Isn't it going to be closed for the remodel?
Yes, it is. That's the only reason it was never added to the schedule. Otherwise, we'd be all over that place! lol

Just in the process of booking the flights! I am so excited - I am mostly Irish and have always wanting to go to Ireland! One of my BFF's has a luxury timeshare and it includes a castle in Ireland. We do an annual girl's trip to celebrate her birthday. Been all over the world with her and her husband over the last 20 years. I know I am very lucky to be able to do all the traveling that I do~
Oh, how fun. Will you share some pics here or on FB? I have no desire to travel outside of the US, unless it's to Ireland. That's the only place I'd get on a plane for.

That's what I thought. That it's the new bakery.

Yikes. It was windy here too, but not that bad. Good luck with the clean up.

I'm so confused this morning. LOL Maybe I should go back to bed. :lmao: Where are you going with Tyler? And yes, your screen name confused me even more for a split second. :rotfl:

oops, sorry for the confusion Beth.....at one point the girls trip was out for me but I bought my airline tickets this morning, so I'll be attending after all!!! I arrive 9:15am Thursday & leave 6:55pm Monday.....out of Santa Ana. Tyler will be tagging along so he can go solo at the parks while I'm doing the diva stuff. I'll decide meals tonight when I get home.

I really do not want to do the character breakfast and there are a few of us that would like to do the WOC seating with a meal at WCT. I threw it out there for any others that might want to join us for that. If it is a problem, I will just keep it on my schedule. Not really sure what time yet. I figured it would depend on who was going and what time worked and was available.

Oh! LOL Okay, got it. I do remember you saying you weren't sure if you could make it. I'm so glad it worked out that not only you could come, but Tyler, too!! How fun for you both! :goodvibes

Patrice and I might be interested in an alternate breakfast on Sunday if one is forming. Does La Brea do a sit down breakfast? I thought they were just pastries and coffee?

No, not a problem. I just thought I'd missed it somewhere, or else my blond brain was playing tricks on me. ;) I'll put it on the schedule for those interested, and once you all have a time, just let me know, and I'll add that as well. I love WCT. It's been awhile since I've eaten there, but their lasagna was sooo good. ::yes::

We did a sit down breakfast at La Brea. I am not sure if we had a ressie or not....I went with Theresa and Angie.

They do and it's yummy! They have the Express side and the sit down table service side :thumbsup2

They have both - counter service and table service. The menu you posted is for the table service (yumminess!)

Hi guys: I would be up for an alternative breakfast on Sunday since I have already done Surf's Up a couple of times.

La Brea IS good; my only concern is weather since I believe all of their seating is outside. Even for the sit-down be served portion.

Someone mentioned Steakhouse 55----this is also very good and inside--next to Goofy's Kitchen. And the prices I thought were very reasonable. Here is the menu (current as of March 2011)

All That Jazz

Espresso - $2.99

Caffe Latte or Cappuccino - $4.19

Mocha - $4.29

Brewed Regular or Decaffeinated Coffee, Hot Chocolate with Whipped Cream, Hot Tea - $2.99

Juices: Orange, Grapefruit, Cranberry, Apple or Tomato - Small $2.99, Large $4.99

Steakhouse 55 Struttin' Selections

Buttermilk Stack - Steaming buttermilk pancakes piled high. Served with whipped butter and Warm Bananas Foster or Warm Berries. $11.00

French Toast - Thick-cut French toast dipped in eggs, cream with vanilla and powdered sugar served with Warm Bananas Foster or Warm Berries. $12.00

Sunrise Rhapsodies
With fresh-cut fruit or roasted potatoes with peppers and onions

Eggs Benedict - Two fresh eggs, expertly poached atop Canadian bacon and an English muffin. With hollandaise sauce. $14.00

Two Times Four - Two slices of French toast, two fresh eggs, any style, plus two strips of bacon and two links of sausage. $12.00

Build-Your-Own-Omelette - Choice of three: cheese, bacon, sausage, mushrooms, ham, avocado, tomato, onion or roasted peppers. With toast or bagel. $12.00

American Breakfast - Two eggs, any style with ham, bacon or sausage. With toast or bagel. $12.00

New York Steak and Eggs - A juicy, 7-ounce certified Angus steak, with two farm-fresh eggs, any style. With toast or bagel. $17.00

South-of-the-Border Serenade

Huevos Rancheros - Two fresh eggs, corn tortillas, cheese and black beans with fresh pico de gallo, guacamole and sour cream. $12.00

Sunrise Burrito - Scrambled fresh eggs, chorizo, potatoes and cheese in a flour tortilla with fresh pico de gallo, guacamole and sour cream on the side. $12.00

Healthful Harmonies

Egg-White Omelette - Egg whites, with mushroom, tomato, onion and peppers. With toast or bagel. $11.00

Bakery Basket - Choice of three: Blueberry or Bran muffin, Croissant or Fruit Danish. $6.00

Granola - Rolled oats with sliced almonds, with choice of one: fruit, yogurt or small juice. $8.00

Seasonal Fruits with Yogurt - Fresh-fruit cocktail or a grapefruit half. $8.00

Kellogg's Cereals - Froot Loops, Kellogg's Frosted Flakes, Mini Wheats, Raisin Bran, Rice Krispies, Special K or Corn Flakes, with choice of one: fruit, yogurt or small juice. $8.00

Oatmeal - Served with brown sugar and raisins, with sliced bananas or strawberries. $10.00

Smoked Salmon and Bagel - Dill cream cheese and traditional accompaniment. $12.00

Yep - you can make reservations or take your chances if you show up without one ;)

Sounds delish! I'd be quite happy to do this instead of Surf's Up. It's closer to the parks too. Bonus!

eta - after seeing Cheryl's post, I agree, inside seating trumps location.... LOL

I've done Surf's Up twice. Well, once when it was still Lilo and Stitch, and once when it was Surf's Up. In fact, it's the only character breakfast I have done.

I've never been to La Brea, so I didn't realize the seating is outdoors regardless. I probably personally wouldn't want to take a chance on the morning weather in February being all that warm. It could be, but it could also end up raining.

Steakhouse sounds good also. I'd be all over that breakfast burrito. (drool...

Of course, I may not even be there at all, so I guess I should just keep quiet. :rotfl2:
