And don't forget how dedicated I am to exercise! I had to hike all the way there from the room, jog over to the cooler, pulllllll open the heavy cooler door, lift the FULL can, drag it all the way to the table, and then proceeded to do several one-arm curls with it. I am ripped!

:rotfl: thanks for making me smile today

Ok ladies...wish me luck, send prayers or happy thoughts...at 2 I will be in court hopefully getting full custody of my oldest son. My former BFF (the one who's DH committed suicide earlier this year...) offered to be there with me today (she was actually at the first custody hearing 8 years ago!) I was really surprised and touched that she offered.

Good luck :wizard:. Hopefully with how your ex has been lately you will have no problems getting full custody.

Pssshh. No. Nope. Nuh uh. I don't think so. Well, then again I guess 25 could be considered a milestone.

Wow, so sad...... Just had your birthday (and it was a BIG one) and your memory is already going so quickly....... :sad2: Poor, poor Betty.:sad1:

He didn't show up and I was granted full physical and legal custody! Woo hoo!

Laughing AT me? Yep, it's true and happens often. Like in this case not so long ago. Even I ask myself "Why? Just....why?":rolleyes1

You do know that forgetfulness in one of the 7 dwarves of menopause right?

Love to read good news and see everyone happily joking with each other. :goodvibes

We sent ds to the hospital via ambulance later that night of the accident. He was dizzy, blurred vision, sweating, glassy eyed, pale. It came on quickly and just as quickly he felt better. We thought a trip to the ER was a good idea to check him over. ER docs were concerned about the amount of internal bleeding in his thigh, took a bunch of labs, x rays. Determined he was okay, sent him home with crutches, ice packs for the next few days and pain meds. He has an ENORMOUS hemotoma (similar to a bruise) on his thigh , size of a football! Except each day the pooled blood leaks and the bruise gets a little bigger, eventually the bruise will be his entire length of the leg. And yeah, we didn't know the extent of the injury because typical teen modesty and bravadoness.. he didn't look at it or show it to us.

Talked to hubby's doc during his monthly visit today, he told us some additional things to watch out (it can lead to infection later) and pointed out those symptoms (dizzy, sweaty) were shock due to the blood loss.
D'OH!

At the time, my gut feeling told me to get him looked at.. but the oh yeah, remember first aid classes? Do this.. didn't kick in. Though we did make him stay sitting, argued with him when the symptoms passe "I'm fine now, I can stay home" The Heck you are!

Now he has missed two days of classes (he's a freshman at a local community college), argh! He hates the crutches and is trying to hop around without them, stiff and sore.. so he looks kinda funny moving around the apartment and hobbled over to the store next to us. We are at the point now of teasing him for his lameness routine.. hobble hobble, hop hop, curse, ow.. hobble hobble. :thumbsup2

I just want to let everyone know that packed in that little, aluminum can is a healthy breakfast beverage composed of oxygen, hydrogen, and whole grains. The bacon was for protein. :thumbsup2

I ♥ you. That rocks.

Wow, Bernice.... Your son and I had pretty close experiences. 30 years later, I can still feel the place on my thigh where the car hit me.....

Well, I am forgetful. But I also know who's witchy with a B, and who's psycho. :rolleyes1 (Don't worry, you are neither!)

OMG, Bernice. How frightening. I'm glad he's ok, but still. I am such a worrier. I'd be a nervous wreck.

Just a quick reminder...

If you are interested in signing up for the Christmas card exchange, let me know. You have until next Wednesday to send me your address so I can add it to the list. So far we have approximately a dozen ladies signed up.
I love it when all the cards start arriving in the mail. Even the kids start looking forward to them. :)

I also found a cute way to display all those cards. I usually just tape them to my door, lol, but this is so cute. All you need is some extra ribbon, tape, staple gun, and voila! Easy and pretty to look at. :santa:
