Good morning ladies!

Patty, Have a fun week! :faint: My DD had homecoming last week. What a whirlwind!

Katie, Your glasses do make you look quite the smart girl that you are! BTW, that is so exciting about Devin. It looks like he will be going places with his football talent.

Carol, good luck!

Wendy, Sorry I didn't call you this weekend. My brother and family came for a visit, so I had not time to chat. Hopefully this weekend. :thumbsup2

Michele, Hey, I noticed that you have the Queen of Hearts for your siggie. Maybe you can do something in her theme for the M&G.

Theresa, You will be quite the life of the party in your bunny slippers. :rotfl:

So this week and for the next few weeks, I will be busy up to my ears sewing, and getting ready for all kinds of stuff. Costumes, a fish extender, hosting a masquerade party, Trunk or Treat, a shower for my DIL, and my Mom's estate sale.

I practically spent all day yesterday, getting ideas for masquerade outfits. We are either going as pirates, Tinkerbell and Hook, maybe Zorro for Dave, Mr and Mrs Incredible. LOL.....If we do that, I asked Dave to shave off his mustache, that has been on his face his whole life. He actually agreed. Hmm? Everyone would be astonished and would never recognize him with a mask and all. But.............being the hosts, I kind of wanted something a little more over the top and glitzy. So then I am back to pirates, Tink and Zorro. LOL.... I actually found a Tink costume that lights up. Now that would be fun, but then I have to show my old legs off. :sad2: Maybe tights to cover them?

So today, I am off to try on some costumes. Then I will decide what to buy and what to sew!

Wow. Long post for me. :rolleyes1

I know i forgot to reply to something.

Hi Ladies!
I sort of feel like Capri, nothing to say except the usual complaints. I swear I do nothing but drive kids around, fill out paperwork, make appointments and shop, clean and cook. And I am doing it 10 hours a day. Not sure how to fit a job into that, but right now, a job seems like a break! Anyhow, how much is there to say about all that, ya know? I'm totally boring!

I did however write a little report of our last Vegas trip, and I know some of you are headed that way and are Vegas virgins and what not, so maybe something in here would be interesting??

Well, off to another exciting day...
Tracey

Good morning, ladies!! It's a gray, cloudy day here with a current temp of 65 and you better believe I am loving it!!!!!! :cool1: :woohoo: :yay:

IMG00182-20111001-2011-1.jpg
I like those!! You look good. But then again, I'm not sure I've ever seen you take a bad photo! You always look good.

So does that mean something ghostly? Sorry not sure just making sure I know before I get an idea in my head. I guess I could use whatever for Halloween too huh?
Creepy, ghostly, Tower of Terror-ish, or even villain-ish would work. I would love to see someone dress as the creepy bride from the Haunted Mansion. That would be awesome!!

Good luck with your hours at work. Ruben works at UMC and they've cut hours and pay! Made the pay cut retro active too. Jerks.

So this week and for the next few weeks, I will be busy up to my ears sewing, and getting ready for all kinds of stuff. Costumes, a fish extender, hosting a masquerade party, Trunk or Treat, a shower for my DIL, and my Mom's estate sale.
How. Do. You. Do. It????? And still have time to work on the trip shirts?? I am not worthy!! :worship: :worship: lol

I cannot wait to see your costumes for the masquerade ball! I can totally see you going as a Scarlett O'Hara type. Miss Melody surrounded by gentleman callers. ;)
Well, just make sure you remember how to post pics. I want lots of them of everything you are doing this month! :yay:

Oooh, I'll have to check it out! Thanks.
Oh, and sometimes, boring is good. ;)

Divas, it's time to sign up for...

THE PARTY OF PERIL!
So exciting!!!
I added it to the title of the thread last night. :thumbsup2

I think I finally know what I'm wearing for the Meet and Greet! I'm super excited. :hyper:
Well....??? popcorn::

Like Carol said, January's is Daisy_77. I got a message from her a couple weeks ago so it should still be valid :thumbsup2.
How is that girl? She just keeps disappearing! :rotfl:

Just got back from my job interview and I think it went very well. Pretty interesting situation that will take some thought but I think it might work out well. They should be calling me back for another meeting in a few days so we will see. Thanks for your thoughts and prayers! :goodvibes
:cheer2: :cheer2: :thumbsup2

Is it annoying you????? :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:
Yes, but then again most things do. :rolleyes1

Wish I was in your boat...I have no ideas :confused3 Being creative is really outside the box for me.

I know what I am wearing too! :teeth:

Not fair! Want to share what you picked to wear? Isn't there some kind of roomie privledge? So glad to hear the interview went well. :woohoo: I'm crossing my fingers for you.

I have no clue what to wear to the Meet and Greet, any ideas are welcome!

Ditto. I keep waiting for inspiration and it never comes :confused3

I got mine and will get back to you later this month on it. Thank you.

I'm really hoping things work out. Having some bad luck lately so my luck should turn soon right?
Darn work is so slow my hours and days are cut in half. That means my pay for each week is too and let me tell you there wasn't much when it was normal. :scared1:

 Michelle - I hope there is some good luck on your way.

My life is fairly boring, what do I post? I dunno? so read this or not as I mutter here...

What to wear seems to be the question of the week. (Maybe they should make that a show on TLC instead of what NOT to wear?) :scratchin
I'm not good at putting together a costume and have no clue how to sew.. hats off to you Melody for your wonderful creative abilities, you are awesome!

I guess whatever I find at Target in the after Halloween clearance will have to do the trick. Though that might mean half of a chewbacca outfit, a smooshed witches hat, a partially ripped red cape and some ugly orange socks (and maybe some orange bunny vampire slippers?) But hey if it's orange, I will at least be safe in the woods when deer hunting begins the following weekend.:thumbsup2

I am looking forward to fall, it seemed to disappear here, we are having more of summer. Surprise! Go find those shorts and put those long sleeves shirts, that you needed just days ago, back away in the drawer. Summer has arrived -- again! I made up my weekly menu with things that require baking, I have apples waiting to be made into pie, I want to make soup and wear cozy warm clothes. Instead I have the air conditioner running and had to re-think my menu plans to include foods that do not require the blast of heat from the oven. It's mighty irritating I tell ya.

Along with the irritation, some fun is on the menu for this month and I don't mean the apples turning to moldyness in the fridge. :yay:
I won tickets for three different events this month: George Lopez at Mystic Lake Casino (courtesy of City Pages.. woohooo), Oliver Twist at Park Square Theater, Skeletons in the Closet: A Day of the Dead Story at In the Heart of the Beast Puppet and Mask Theater.
Gotta love free stuff! Fun free stuff is even better!

Well, just call me "change my mind again" Melody. :rolleyes1 Now I am going as Snow White.
Yes Miss Jessica, I am going to wear a red cape and head band just for you. :cloud9:
And now I am definitely going to sew it. I just can't stand to buy a cheap costume, when I can make good quality one. I also need to make a cool mask to match it. :thumbsup2 So there you go! I will take pictures for ya all.

Beth, the t-shirts are not in my picture yet. Thanks goodness! LOL! I will not get really serious about decorating until after the holidays. I do hope to have the purple ones done first. Hopefully I will have all of those orders I need before Christmas. Anywhos, that is the plan. :goodvibes

Good night all.

Chilly and rainy here. Feels like Portland. LOL

I'm not kidding when I say I will be wearing a T Shirt and Jeans to the Meet and Greet. LOL. Or maybe shorts, if it's above 70. That should be plenty scary. LOL

I will wear some type of themed tshirt tho.

A themed t-shirt is perfect. I've never seen anyone do a full out costume before to the Meet & Greet.......... unless you count pajamas when we had the sleepover theme??

We did Haunted Mansion 2 times and I couldn't find the Monkey Bride this year. :confused3

I couldn't find it either.

That's because it doesn't exist.... :rolleyes1

But it DOES exist!! I didn't see it the first time but saw it the second time! It is in the "attic" room on your left, way in the back, about mid level and behind a coffin shaped present!!! So yes, I believe now!!!

Okay, I sent everyone a PM except Daisy77, JodiLuvsDisney, and Lisadog because they're no longer listed as DisBoard members - I guess? :confused3

Capri - Lisadog is my friend and she keeps forgetting to sign up so I will pass along the message and remind her.

Short trip update - we had a great time over the weekend! The Halloween party was fun, WCT dining for WoC was great and the highlight was lunch at Club 33!! We got up early and got so much done in the mornings that I was also able to squeeze in some time with a SoCal friend on Sat!

Happy Hump Day Divas!

Don't I look like a witchy school teacher LOL! Where's my ruler?

Actually I don't mind wearing glasses, I just see better with my contacts

Hot and Sassy!

Hahaha, you're right! "What to wear?" definitely seems to be the question of the week. I gotta say.....I'm enjoying it. :cool2:

And I totally think you should wear all that to the party! :yay:

FUN! I think you'll look adorable as Snow White! :cutie:

Nope, you didn't miss it. :rolleyes1

Waiting for the natural gas company to show up so that I can have hot water and heat again...oh well...watching the recorded So You Think You Can Dance and updating my address with different companies...also read through my cruise docs! We fly out one month from today...7 years in the planning and it is almost here! I can't wait!

Harvest Festival Meeting tonight...I am looking forward to seeing my PTO friends and planning a great night for the K thru 2nd kids!

What's up, ladies?? Happy Hump Day!!
It's cold here!! Yes, cold. I LOVE IT!!! And by cold, I mean it's 61. I might even grab a blanket and snuggle up, just because I can! :)

:wave2: Dropping by to say hi!
Hey!

Wish I was in your boat...I have no ideas :confused3
Me either! I suck at creativity. lol

I guess whatever I find at Target in the after Halloween clearance will have to do the trick. Bernice, I love your posts, you crack me up. :rotfl:
Bonus on the orange.....gotta think about safety when hunting.

And yay for fun free stuff! Enjoy!

Well, just call me "change my mind again" Melody. :rolleyes1 Now I am going as Snow White.
Oh Mel, that is just perfect for you!! :goodvibes

I'm not kidding when I say I will be wearing a T Shirt and Jeans to the Meet and Greet. LOL. Or maybe shorts, if it's above 70. That should be plenty scary. LOL
You haven't seen scary until you've seen my legs. Think of an elephant's legs, you know, all wrinkly and bumpy, add some varicose veins, and then make them pale white. Oh yes, that's an image no one should actually see in real life. :scared1: Which is why I haven't worn shorts in over 14 years. And this is coming from a person who lives where it's sometimes 112 in the summer!!!

I've never seen anyone do a full out costume before to the Meet & Greet.......... unless you count pajamas when we had the sleepover theme??
I think this will be the year for some awesome costume surprises! I am so excited to see what everyone is wearing. popcorn::

But it DOES exist!! I didn't see it the first time but saw it the second time! It is in the "attic" room on your left, way in the back, about mid level and behind a coffin shaped present!!! So yes, I believe now!!!
Oh Bridget.....so sad.....another Diva brainwashed. :sad2: When will this madness end?

:p

I'm with ya Tracey! Hey, but you know what? We do boring with style girlfriend! :thumbsup2
Me, me! Don't forget me! I'm boring too! :yay:

We fly out one month from today...7 years in the planning and it is almost here! I can't wait!
Wow, 7 years?? And only one month to go!!!!! :woohoo: :cool1:

This is a copy of what I posted on the Halloween exchange thread. I know not everyone will see it over there though, and even those who participated in the Halloween exchange might miss it, so I thought I would quickly just share it here just as an FYI for those interested. :)

Since all packages have been received, I am going to call this Halloween exchange officially completed!
Thank-you everyone for participating. I hope you had as much playing along as I did hosting it. A special thanks to all exchangers for really being on the ball with their mailings and picture posting. Great work!

If you are interested in the Christmas Stocking Exchange
christmas_tree.gif
here is a bit of early info for you to consider:
*It will be for adults only. No kids since usually kids get a stocking from Santa.

*Sign-ups will begin November 1st and run thru the 8th.

*The minimum dollar amount will be $25, which DOES include the cost of the stocking, but not shipping or any "freebies" or extras should you choose to include them.

*Mail by date will be Nov. 22, which gives each person a full two weeks to shop and send.

*Finally, and most importantly, you do not open your package when it arrives. Simply post that you received it, tuck it away someplace safe (no peeking!) and then on December 6th @ 7:00 p.m. we will all open our packages at the same time! :cool1:

Those are the "rules" for the next exchange. Hopefully we will have another good turn out. :santa:

Count me in! Sounds like fun!

And yes...I started planning this trip when I was pregnant with my first born and he is now 6! I am so excited...I'll need to start packing soon!

I would love some orange bunny vampire slippers!!! :upsidedow

Those sound sexy :smokin:!!

Sounds like you had a FAB weekend! Welcome Home!

I will wear some type of themed tshirt tho.

That's what I'll probably end up wearing :rolleyes1. I already have a plan and have been buying pieces here and there, but I know how I am. I'm not one for dressing up and once I put all the pieces together if it doesn't look perfect, I'll scrap it :guilty:. Here's to hoping my costume turns out on how I'm envisioning it :thumbsup2.

Howdy Everyone! This is LisaDog finally signing in to join the fun. Count me in on the 2012 Girls Only Trip again. It was great fun this year. I'll be coming down with SierraNevada for the meet and greet this year so I look forward to seeing everyone.
