Yep. I've never been to the Mystery House either, even though I grew up in the Bay Area and my grandmother lived in Santa Clara all my life. LOL

I took the tour about 30 years ago and really liked it.

TGIF ladies!! I hope you are having a good day so far.

I spent the morning so far chatting with my mom on the phone. (she lives in MI. for those who don't know) It was nice catching up with her. Then I baked some banana muffins. LOVE the smell in my house now!
And finally the girls and I watched old videos from when they were little. It was cute and fun, but also made me want to cry. How can it be that this school year I will have a junior and sophomore in high school, and two entering middle school??? I want my babies back......

Oh well. Time marches on and waits for no one.

I made my daughter take the time to actually show me how to turn off cell, send a text, look at a e-mail, and how to dl an update for cell.

I can't use those fancy cell phones. They confuse me. And I have to ask my husband to get the photos from the camera onto the computer. And don't even get me started on connecting and hooking up all those game consoles. Too many wires!! lol

Anyone watching project runway? Please tell me I am not the only one.

I don't watch that, but I love the Bachelor/Bachelorette. Also Survivor and Amazing Race. Those are really the only three I watch on a regular basis.

So it is going to be a BUSY week! We had also hoped to find the time to see Harry Potter somewhere in there but not sure if or when we are going to be able to fit that in LOL.

Not to be a PITB, but has this been done yet? When we last checked, it had not been and we're not able to actually reserve our room (and get the M&G room) until it's done.

Yeah, my main concern is the party room. There are other hotels to book rooms in, but that party room we need!! Maybe I'll PM her later today, or can someone else on the Meet and Greet team can find out for us if the party room has been reserved. We definitely do not want to lose such a great location.

I always see the sign for the Mystery House whenever I'm driving home from my grandparents. I've always wanted to go but have I ever actually done it? Of course not.

So I just got back from work. I swear tomorrow is my last overnight shift. They can't pull another "got you!!" on me. No, no, no more.

I'm kind of excited, I've got another project to work on for those who didn't see it on my Facebook. But my mom is going to teach me how to sew and we're going to make me a costume for the Haloween party on October 3rd. It's going to be this dress from The Little Mermaid when Eric was giving Ariel a tour of the kingdom:

Beth~ I love watching old home videos!!! It's very fun and sad all at the same time. Speaking of home videos, we were watching some a few months ago and there was one that had my husband (I mean ex-husband ) and when he appeared on the screen, Laila yelled out "it's my baby daddy!!" . Again, watching home videos is funny and sad at the same time .

I'm relaxing ! Believe me, if I still had my other car, I would drive to Vegas frequently (you know it's only a 3 1/2 drive to my house). Unfortunately, I don't trust my current car . Once I get a new car, I'll come visit you every couple months . My family love weekend road trips.

I do think Jen talked to the M and G hotel and they were going to send the contract for her to sign. She may have re thought it and thought -- humm gonna be there soon going to just take care of it all then . I think it is clsoe to being all set-- wish I could remember her posts. Jen appears to be very organizied so I am sure she has it all covered. .

Grand daughter over heard her mom and me talking about the Diva's wine of choice. Of course if I am bringing enough for 50 Diva's I was thinking small -- very small glasses. Out of the mouths of babes she said grandma what about those baby glasses in the bathroom LOL. They are paper for when you bursh teeth --- but thinking back I thought wow Lilly I think you saved me LOL. I need to listen to the kids better they have great ideas.

We went to the fair today. I actually think we just go to eat . We do go in and look at the 4-h and the exhibits kids enter. Next year grand kids are going to enter stuff they made. Win or lose they will get to see "their " items on display.

Is there a train that runs from LA to Las Vegas? We drove once from LV to LA -- oh wow that was in Feb of '75. NO Comments LOL. It was sure a lonely drive, just us and the sage brush. Have never wanted to do that drive again.

I am thinking I might be a bit tired -- thinking a nap is in order.

You ladies from the Bay area should have a mini meet at Winchester house. Expecially the ones that can see from where they live and then see the bill boards for the tours. It would be fun.

Isn't that what you're supposed to go to the fair for?

As for a train from Vegas to LA, there is not. Lots of buses but no train. Well, not yet. They keep talking about building a super fast train from here to the OC or something but I don't pay any attention. It's all just talk. Blah, blah, blah. It won't happen anytime soon.

As for the hotel contract, I found Jen's post on the 16th where she said she was sending it that day so hopefully it's been received by now.

Sorry! I PROMISE to fax it in today. As soon as I get the word that they have it and all is clear, I will post here Paperwork and I are long time enemies....something about it reminds me of college and essays and due dates and procrastination

Well, Yes it is . At the end of the day it will all work out. I might think rooms would be plenty during that time frame. Maybe book a room then change it over to the special room rate.

Better yet Reserve one of the queen suites-- or what ever they are called--at DLH or GC. Then we can ALL stay with you. Sounds like a plan to me. Oh but we are going to need a maid and butler to.

That is never gonna happen is it -- sigh oh well

People get playing the lottery. One of you have to win. I never win it is always the other guy so that fits perfect . Just dreaming but can you imagine? Premium Annual passes for everyone. Oh and Club33 buy in -- They might be full but for right price you never know they might open up . Well I best quit dreaming.

Don't worry Queen Do Over it will work out. I wonder if the person knew for sure the contract has not gotten there? Might be on someones desk. Never know.

You'd be surprised how quickly hotels on Harbor fill up. Any time of the year they are always busy. I hope things get squared away soon since that is most likely where Sarah and I will be staying.

They do fill up rather quickly - and it's not just the rooms (which is important because we do want to make sure we get one). The M&G room is also not secured until they have the fax back.

I love your loyalty to Jen! I need more friends like you. I can't wait to meet you all in person.

On that note, wasn't there another year where we didn't the room or time or something we wanted because we waited too long? I'm thinking past experience has made some of us anxious about getting details nailed down early.

Also, we are all type A around here. Let's face it. None of us would be on a fan site, obsessing over a trip in Feb if we weren't! Anyway, I'm so glad Jen stepped up and offered to the the M&G. I know it's been a difficult thing to plan in the past. I just know that several of us would be more comfortable when we know for certain that we have the rooms we want.

Yes, there are other hotels, but we want the Carousel and at a great discounted rate!

Where are you staying? Do you have your room booked yet?
