Some scary and sad news in Chico today. About a mile from my house at 3:30 am, the police found a man murdered in his vehicle. He had been shot. The car was just stopped in the middle of the road. Well it turns out the guy was a pastor in his twenties. Very, very sad. I don't know if it was random but it's so close to home that it's pretty scary. I feel awful for his family. I know crime happens everywhere but this isn't very common for Chico.

I am not sure I can squeeze in Survivor this fall. I already have Glee, Grey's Anatomy, Real World (guilty pleasure), Drop Dead Diva, Vampire Diaries, and Biggest Loser all on DVR. At least I can watch them while I grade and use the DIS!

That's not a bad thing Trudi!!! Everytime I go on today, it's different.....sometimes there are "top stories" & sometimes there's not.....what's bugging me is when there is 30 mins with no posts.....I'm not sure that's even possible with all the friends, groups, likes, etc I get posts from. Hopefully they get things ironed out!!

Jodi that IS scary. Makes you wonder if there was something we don't know about. Like family issues or maybe there was someone who didn't like what he was doing at the church??? I know there can be random crimes like that but hopefully that was NOT it cuz then it makes it even scarier to think that someone is out there murdering innocent people.

I found out yesterday that my grandpa has tumors all over his lungs, ribs, clavicle, and esophagus My mom is on a flight to Oregon as I type to be with them. Today the doctor was going to inform them if there is anything they can do. Grandpa was complaining of pain and the doctors kept saying it was something else - so basically, they have wasted time and the cancer is pretty advanced. I am waiting to hear from my mom on the results of today's visit. *sigh* way too much stuff going on now....

Awww...that's terrible . Some doctors these days just like to push people through as fast as possible and don't take the time to see if something serious is going on . Your family will be in my prayers.

How scary !! You never really think something like this could happen so close, but it does.

When Adara was just a baby, my ex and his friend got shot up in our car and his friend got killed . I NEVER in my life thought anything like that would happen so close to me and it was a very scary time. I had nightmares for years!!!

Sounds fun to me...isn't it at West Lake Center? I was thinking of going down there Oct 22 (I think...is that a saturday?) Is it open by then? They have a Rainforest Cafe in that mall too!

The one with the Rainforest Cafe is Westfield Mall in Southcenter. Oct. 22nd is a Saturday. That would work great for me. Lunch at the Rainforest Cafe would be a lot of fun I haven't been there in years. Does that date work for other Diva's that will be in the PNW at the time? Any particular time of day that works best for everyone?

My son is 16, and has his permit, but I just cannot wrap my head around the thought of him driving. Especially with some of the idiot drivers we have out here. So we haven't started the actual behind the wheel training yet. I don't want him to grow up.....I'm not ready for all of this.

My Facebook is still all jacked up. I no longer have that ticker on the upper right. I don't know what happened, but it just disappeared. But now showing up in my recent stories are all sorts of posts that I don't want/need to see.

For example, one of my friend's commented on one of her friend's photos, and I was able to see the photo, status and all the comments of that person. I never could do that before. Maybe it's because that person had their privacy set to "friends of friends", but it's so annoying to see all these strange posts and photos and have to think, wait, do I know that person??? LOL

My sister in law has her permit.. actually, she just turned 18 and we are looking into getting her liscense.. OMG. Scary stuff. We went to WINCO on night and she drove... then we drove to ALbertsons afterwards..We were passing a cop, and the cophit his lights right as we passed.. Not to pull us over, but it it scared the crap out of her. She was so thrown by the whole thing, and we drove around a curve.... she forgot to curve with it.. and we almost went into a light pole.. then drive us up in a curb as she turned the corner... and forgot to put the car in park at the grocery store and got out with the car still MOVING. OMG. All within about a half mile. I drove us home. I just cant bring myself to get her a liscense. it scares the crap out of me the idea of her riding in the car with other kids.. In MY car.. Or god forbid... MY kids!!
