It's the semi-annual AP & DVC member only sale. They open at 6:30 am and are closed to the general public until 10:00ish.

Tons of merchandise that is 50% or more off, lots of special doorbusters, etc. And, you also get your AP discount of either 10 or 20% extra off.

I have gone at least twice, maybe three times. Typically there is a gift for the first 500 or so. One time it was vinylmation, another time it was a set of mouse ears.

Last year I did almost all of Ty's birthday (he's a Sept baby) and Christmas shopping and I bought a few things for Dave. For instance all the Nightmare stuff was 50% off so I was able to get him the $70 football jersey for less than $30 because it was 50% off plus an additional 20% for premiums.

Anyone in the area should definitely try to make it!!!

Had a really fun time at the Oregon Zoo with my family, including my oldest son & his fiance plus a mini meet with Carol & Kelly, her 2 daughters & her mom (Rosemarie) & her dad (can't recall his name).

Fun!! I saw the pic on FB and liked it right away! Glad y'all had a fun time.

So, in the spirit of celebration we are headed to Anaheim tomorrow night.
Maybe Dave will at least get a DQ ice cream cake that night

For MamaKate, I am so sorry for any pain or discomfort you have had to endure during the last few months. It is a true miracle that this was caught early and that with proper medical care you will be ok. I always count my blessings and never look back because if I did I might be scared oh what might have been. I hope you will look forward as I do at what is going to be.

Happy for you being single again.

Take care of your self and get plenty of rest/sleep. I hope the Dr. report is a good one. Giving the gift of life via the blood donation actually saved yours. That is such a good thing. I will be thinking of you .

Morning Everyone. I haven't posted in here for awhile but I have been following along!


I was told last week that my current car needed a lot of repairs and so I promptly went car shopping and signed a lease for a 2012 Hyundai Sonata. So far it's not getting the mpg per gallon that they advertise it getting so I am frustrated on that. I went with this car because it was supposed to get better mileage...

If we are guilting people into reading TR's I also have one going from my June trip.... I haven't updated it in about a week as I have had a lot going on... Hoping to get a update in today.

I've been working TONS of hours (for me!). My normal schedule is only 3 days a week but I have been working 5. I'm exhausted and worn out but I really need the $$ especially with adding a new car!

I should find out tonight if my request for 2 days off in October is approved. This is my second attempt at trying to get the days off. If they are approved I will be going to DL one last time with my AP. If its not approved I will be even more sad

I don't want to speak for everyone, but I'm pretty sure that would be too much to spend. Although I'm sure it would be nice, and the food would probably be good, but I just think it's too pricey.

You can speak for me on this one. LOL I'm good with the Carousel. It had a great view and the food from Quizno's was good. If we get a discount again, I'd be happy to stay there as well. Can't afford the GC- LOL! Maybe we could look into starting the party a little earlier to get us out by 9PM?

Hope you're all having a good day so far. I've been busy organizing all the drawers and cabinets in the kid's bathroom and mine. Then Noelle and I tackled her room and closet. I love how it's all so purty and neat now. It might not last long, but for today, it feels good!!

Just a quick HI!!! My parents just left after visiting for a week! It was so awesome to have them here for that long. We are planning on going there for the week of Thanksgiving. I wish that we lived closer.

I was able to book my studio for the Diva trip this morning!!! So excited for that!! I have never stayed at the Grand Californian before.

So, I have my airline and my hotel booked. Just need a good deal on the park ticket!!

Morning everyone! Back from all my travels and it is good to be home!! Now I just have to work off the lbs I gained in France & New Orleans - too many beignets! Trying to pop in on everyone's PTRs, and hope that everyone's health improves!

Saw a sign in New Orleans for "Dixie Divas!" - thought of everyone until I took a closer look at the place It was on Bourbon Street - need I say more!

Busy weekend - 2 events tomorrow for over 800 people! One is Pirate theme and one is Safari theme. Companies have really been into themes this year - which I think makes them more fun!

I should be there at that time! I'm looking at Sept 29 - Oct 4! I finally got approval for Oct 3-4 off of work! It took 2 tries to get it approved but am excited I can use my AP one more time before it is expired.

Had a really fun time at the Oregon Zoo with my family, including my oldest son & his fiance plus a mini meet with Carol & Kelly, her 2 daughters & her mom (Rosemarie) & her dad (can't recall his name). The weather couldn't have been better. It was sunny & a cool temp around 70.......so the animals were out. I was a tad disappointed that the monkeys were scarse & not active (which is the first time that's happened when we were there) & the penguins weren't playing in the water.....but getting to see the other animals out was great. We even saw a couple cougars playing & pounching on each other!!!

What a great picture! I am so bummed as I was going to meet up with the clan at Pikes Place market and am not going to be able to. My darn car has been making noise for a long time, and I had taken it in and found out it was a transmission issue. First place wanted to charge me $5000 to fix it and wasn't willing to try to work with my warranty company at all. So I took it to another place and they have been working with the warranty company who agreed to pay for the repair and it will now cost me $200. But, the part finally came in yesterday and I need to leave my car there today. So there goes my fun day!

Jane! We will be in the parks on Sunday. I will look for you guys, but I don't think I have your number any more. Jen, I think your number is on the list from the diva meet, so I will send you a text as to our where abouts, so we can hook up for a ride. Can't wait to meet your boys

We had a very good time & the kids hit it off really well......Katy took Addy under her wing & escorted her around the park & telling her about everything they were looking at......Addy just loved having an "older sister" for a day!!!

Bummer about your car......yikes.....why can't they be cheaper to fix....but I'm glad you took it somewhere else & brought down your amt by a ton!!!!!

36 more hours till the boys and I hit the road!

Tahoe's dad was released from jail (I learned this at midnight last night) so I called him on a whim and we talked for a bit. I laid down the law and said I was going to be much stricter on visitation, that his mom and I would arrange times that worked for us. He is not happy about it, but he needs to learn that it is time to grow up.
