I still have to get to Home Depot (tried to get DBF to do it and he just looked at me like I was crazy . . . . . )
:dance3: :dance3:
:lmao: My DH thinks I'm nuts too!! :rotfl2:

Hey everyone.:wave2:

I've been busy, busy, busy the last few days. I spent all day yesterday doing my dreaded TAXES!!! I've been putting it off and putting it off, but I could put it off no longer. (gulp) I thought for sure we'd end up owing (that's why I was putting it off ;) ) but magically we're actually getting a little back.:wizard: :woohoo:

Have a great day everyone!:thumbsup2
YAY for getting some back!! :yay: More money for Disney. ;)

Just popping in to say hi, though I read the board everyday. The reality of I am actually going is starting to hit home:woohoo:
Hi, good to see you! And it won't be long now before you all are walking down Main Street. :goodvibes

I think you should all walk arm in arm down Main Street singing that song from the Sing-a-long: :rolleyes1

I'm walking right down the middle of Main Street, U.S.A.
It's the heart of America, the heartbeat of a holiday
The place was made with a magical plan
And just around the corner is a fantasyland
I'm walking right down the middle of Main Street, U.S.A.

I hear the music playing from the old time ragtime band
I feel the whole place swaying with the people from across the land
You see the greatest smiling faces up and down the street
Remarkable how friendly all the people can be
I'm walking right down the middle of Main Street, U.S.A.

Tell your mother she's not to worry
'Cause no one's rushing, there's no big hurry
You're never alone or left out in the cold
There's always someone there to pick you up!

I'm walking right down the middle of Main Street, U.S.A.
I know it's no illusion, it's a dream that's here to stay
For the time of your life you oughta find yourself here
You're welcome anytime you have the mind to appear
I'm walking right down the middle of Main Street, U.S.A.

:thumbsup2 My hubby got one of the picture frames that you put music on and show video or pics for my Bday I have that song and pics from Disney World.

Now to add Disneyland and yes that would be a sight all of us taking over
main street USA:lmao:

Oh for Christmas last year my hubby did a office makeover for me and gave me my very own disney room :)

He even got me a 19 inch mickey tv. Well no biggie for USA people a huge accomplishment for a Canadian.

He bought it off Disney Shopping on sale. And for some reason he even got free shipping and only had to pay like 35.00 customs. And this was not a light box:rotfl:

Now we have never seen the 19 inch TV's here only 13 inches. So it was an awesome gift.

But the sad news.

I guess disney realized their mistake and no longer will ship this TV to Canada. Well I have not look in about 6 months but about a month later after I got it now stated only available in the contential USA.

If I find old pics of my room I will post them :)

That sounds so sweet of your DH to do that for you! :goodvibes

I have a friend who lives in Canada and she's always saying how hard/expensive it is to get things mailed there. And she gets upset when we talk about some of the stores we have here that she wishes she had.

I'd love to see the pics when you find them! :thumbsup2

I just tell my DBF I need them for scrapbooking.

He would think that was crazy too! (He just doesn't get many things--my Disney obsession, crafting, scrapbooking, purse obsessions, LGMH's etc.!!!! Men!!!!!!!! They just don't understand . . . . .)

Ok ladies--I am having a really hard time deciding where at DLR to go for my birthday dinner . .. (it's before our trip). I am taking Mom on a "girls'" trip of our own for three nights, and then DBF and some other friends are coming to join us on my actual birthday (they all have APs).

Since we're going to Blue Bayou on the ladies' only trip (and I just was there a few weeks ago), I don't want to go there . . . would Jazz Kitchen be a good place for a small group? I've only been there once--on a blind date (don't ask). I don't remember much of the food because I was trying to figure out a way to escape!

The other options I think are too expensive (Vineyard Room, Napa Rose, Steakhouse 55)--any other ideas?

I really wanna ask now!!!!!!!;)

Now where are our DL guru and/or foodies when we need em????

I really wanna ask now!!!!!!!;)

Shelley, you are such a trouble maker! (but I heart you anyway. )

Cheryl, what kind of food do you like? There is always the Vineyard Trattoria, with yummy salads and lasagna and pasta (plus you can have a glass of wine or champagne to celebrate your birthday). I've never been to Catal in DTD but that is an option. There is Japanese food at Paradise Pier, Yamabuki.

Truthfully, I'm not sure any of these are less expensive than Blue Bayou. My husband and I were just there (lunch), and it was nearly $100 (including tip) for the two of us. YIKES. We also ate at Jazz Kitchen for lunch, it was good, but I don't remember how much it was (60-80 I think).. sorry about that.

In any case, enjoy your birthday. It sounds like it will be a fun time!

Beth:

Before we all forget, have a wonderful DLR trip! Hope you and the family have a GREAT TIME!!!!

:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Thanks. :goodvibes

It's going to be a quick trip. We won't get there until late afternoon tomorrow, and we'll spend the day at DL until closing.

Thursday we'll be at CA all day, then hop over to DL.

Friday is a blocked day for the kids and DH's passes (I'm the only one with a Premium) so we're going to sleep in, then let the kids hang out at the pool, then meet the in-laws for lunch somewhere, and finally do some shopping in DTD.
Kind of a lazy day. ;)

DH has to work Saturday night so we'll be hitting the road again early that morning.

Like I said, a quickie. Or as someone I know used to call them, a "Mickey Quickie". ::MickeyMo

Regarding the VIP tour: I thought you ladies would like to be surprised. I only received about 8 responses for tour ideas.

Is this group to "excessive planner" to let the tour guides and I plan the tour?

For me, absolutely not. I trust you COMPLETELY! :worship: ;) Just make sure that you let me know when/how to pay you. Thanks Lesley!

Hi Lesley!
No worries from me. In fact, that will make it more fun, to be surprised, thanks;) . Are we going anywhere in particular for dinner afterwards, or are we all on our own?

Go for it! Can't wait to hear our plans!!!

I don't mind being surprised. Between projects at work, softball games and midterms, having someone else plan things for me is a treat.

I am one of the 8  The only thing I would really like is the VIP seating at fastasmic because the the seating being in a scooter would make seeing it more difficult to see I think. But have never been there so do not know. Other than that I am a go with the flow type of gal :hippie:

I think now that we've been told it's going to be a surprise we should be fine. (I hope) Anyone still needing a planner fix can PM you directly for the secrets. :thumbsup2 (I wouldn't be surrprised if it secretly was more a case of worried there were no plans, what with all the drop-outs and people who haven't been around in months)

It really is just 4 hours of having no control. I can live with that. I have another 4 days and 20hrs to control. (I know it's not really that long but I can pretend it is) lol

I'm very open to being surprised.
