I really wish I could go with everyone but I have a little toddler at home and we're going to Disneyland in the middle of May. Taking off for a weekend to DL right before our family vacation and leaving him with the baby probably wouldn't go over too well with dh!

:) DS's 4th birthday is Memorial Day weekend, and unless I want to deal with the ridiculous stress throwing a party for him that causes, we'll find ourselves dealing with holiday crowds at DL this year.

So I might be there twice inside a month, LOL...

But if it were mid-May, rather than late-May, for me, I might not go either.

There is a part of me that thinks we should invite some family along, but they have to hang out at the pool with the kids, rather than join us. (I did this with some cyber-friends in Vancouver BC when DS was 1.5...Dh and DS just wandered around buying Indian food and Asian candy, and watched movies in the hotel room) Or they can band together and tour the parks, but separately from us.

But that would not be in the spirit of this trip, and if I want a trip like that I'll make my own dang thread. (not likely) :upsidedow

You are so lucky!!!

We only go twice a year!

This will be my first May trip and I'm praying the crowds won't be as bad as they were in mid October.

I was there last May and mid October. May was nice, we were there the weekend before the POTC premiere and it was Mothers Day weekend. So Saturday was a little more crowded. October was just gross. DH is use to going in January, and he loves (well, likes) it then. I was a little shocked at how much busier it was last month. Ive been at that time in the past and it want that bad.:confused3

4. Which tv/movie/radio star would you most like to meet in person?
Harrison Ford or Orlando Bloom.

Amen sister! I love Orlando Bloom especially as an elf? :rotfl:

Hi ladies. Just got back from my homeschool co-op. Thought I'd check in to see how the planning was coming. So Beth, you have a list going? Would love to see where we're at so far with numbers.

Hope you all don't mind if I don't answer the survey questions. I hate those things, and I like to maintain an air of mystery.:lmao:

I wish I could join you ladies, it sounds like it could be so fun. I am preggo at the moment the baby will only be 4-5 months. I don't have anyone to look after him while I am gone (hubby will be running our biz). :(
Awww, congratulations! I'm sorry you can't make it but what a wonderful reason not to. :goodvibes

And who knows, if this works out good, which I'm hoping it will, we can make it an annual thing and you can join us next time!

Ok, I know I voted either one would be fine, but I just found out my kids have Friday April 25 off from school, so I would actually prefer the May weekend. I can't vote again, so Beth, please move my vote in your count. Thanks!
No problem! :thumbsup2

6. What is the weirdest thing you will ever admit to having done in the past?
When I was in high school, I lived in Michigan, where people ski! A friend and I didn't ski, but we wanted to meet guys so we got into a whole ski outfit, borrowed someone's ski boots and went to the ski lodge. We never went skiing though, we didn't bring skis with us.
:lmao: That sounds like something my friends and I would have done in high school.

Well, hello Molly! Yes, much better then making us run around calling you hobbittfeet!! :rotfl2:

Here's what you do. Tell him you are sacrificing your time to go ahead of time and do some research so that your family trip is the best it can possibly be. I mean, it's a real chore, but someone has to do it, and being the trooper you are, you'll volunteer!! :thumbsup2

Okay now we know Katie has an elf fetish..... Good thing Christmas is coming up. Lots of elves around then.

Oh but wait, it's probably not the same is it? ;) :rotfl:

I've been to CA once (this past April). I took all 3 of my kids by myself and we went to Ariel's Grotto for lunch. Other than that I haven't been anywhere there. There's not a whole lot that my kids were interested in there, they had more fun at the other park. I'm hoping to change that this December. Although the one thing I'd like to do is closed in December, the Mike and Sulley thing.
