Good morning ladies!:sunny:
Hope everyone is having a good weekend so far! Here is a picture I took last weekend at Disneyland. Its always good to have a little Disney to start your day. ;)

Beautiful pic!!!

This is shaping up so nicely. So how many definites and how many maybes do we have so far?

I live 2 hours away so plane tickets aren't an issue for me, but for those that need them, don't forget priceline. You really can get some cheap tickets through them.

So far I have a count of 26 ladies who have expressed interest in this trip. Some want to come the whole time, some can only make for a day or two.

We also might have some lurkers who are sort of on the fence about going. If so, I hope they decide to jump in and join us!!

If there's anyone who hasn't voted in the poll for the dates, please go ahead and do so.
Vote here for the trip dates

That poll will close on the 9th, which is this Friday. Once the dates are set, that will also help some people make a decision.

Currently we have 10 votes for those who can do either set of dates, 6 for April 24-28 and 5 for May 1-5. So it's very close and could still go either way.

But so far, it seems to be going well. There's actually been more interest then I thought there would be which is a good thing! Guess we have quite a few ladies who are ready to take a break and go have some fun! :thumbsup2

Oh, I just wanted to add that if there's anyone who has a question or comment that they don't want to post here, feel free to PM me. I have no life so I can get back to you pretty quickly. ;)

That's a good idea. I've never used Priceline for a plane ticket, only hotel, but I know alot of people do with good results. Also if you live in an area that has Southwest, make sure you are signed up to receive their Dings. That's a good way to get a cheap price. :thumbsup2

I personally live about 4 and a half hours away. The easiest and quickest way for me to get there would be to fly. But since I have a real fear of flying, I'm not sure that's going to happen. lol

I've been looking into taking the bus. :rotfl: It would take me alot longer. Almost 6.5 hours to get there. But it's cheap, only $58 round trip and I wouldn't have to get on a plane, and I could leave the minivan here for my DH to use if he needs to drive all the kids somewhere.

I'm not sure yet. We'll see.

I'm just checking in :thumbsup2

I voted that either dates would work for me.

I'm really interested in doing a tour and the Food & Wine festival :woohoo: And although we won't have any kids with us, I think a character meal would be a lot of fun with a big group of ladies :yay:

I'm really looking forward to this eventhough it's awhile away.

So... after a "discussion" this morning... My dh saw that it was in everyones best interest that I go..:rolleyes1 :rotfl2: I didnt think it would take him long to see things my way. :cool1: That is the LAST time I ask him something when he first gets up in the evening!:lmao:

I would love to do the Walk in Walts footsteps tour. I have been wanting to do it, but my kids are to small for it.

Me too! I've been wanting to do that tour too. I also wanna do a character meal! I think Minnie's Breakfast in the Park would be fun.

But, don't imagine it will be a problem. But....the problem is I want to do everything!!! Segway, Walt, character breakfast, Tot a million times...and I can only come two days!!!! Okay, I could maybe do three if the $40 for blockout days didn't annoy me so!!!! Oh, and if we go in April. (no pressure!!!!)
I will work on getting over my pique, it is ONLY $40 and it is disney...hmmm....how much money in my change jar? I am getting excited and it is way far away and I have 4 days this year I am still going!! Love it!!!

Happy Sunday every one, I am super excited about this trip. I would love to do A Walk in Walt's Footsteps tour, I love that stuff but I have never had the chance. I also think a Character Breakfast would be a blast. I think I have been doing a little happy dance since I first read this post.:cool1:

You guys are making me so jealous with the planning
Hopefully if it works out and happens again the next year, I can go. I will have an AP that year and more time ::yes::
We are planning on moving to AZ also, so that gets me even closer :rotfl:

Soooo... I just called the DLR room reservations.. Just to get a feel for about how much the AP rates would be around that time. The guy I spoke to said that if we were going to have more then 10 rooms reserved, then we should call the Leisure group number, and maybe get a group discounted rate. Anyhow...Might be worth it to check out, once we figure on when to go. The AP rates I got were

GCH- DTD View... $365
GCH- Theme Park View...$383
DLH- Standard View... $234
DLH- Pool View... $274
PP- Standard View... $216
PP- Park View... $243

And of course the big bonus to staying on site is the early entry!:woohoo: :woohoo:

I'm just lurking on the thread today. I can't book/plan any trips for 2008 until at least 2008.

But I just wanted to ask/comment. Isn't the early entry at DL just 1 day if you are staying a certain number of days. It's not like WDW where there is an early entry or late hours every day at one of the parks.

I mean for more than $200 a night, I'd want more than 1 hour of early entry just once on my trip. Then again, I'm frugal....ok cheap is the word. (and DVC eats up way too many points per night until it is an official DVC over there...yep, I'm really cheap!)

Anyone checking the prices for the other hotels around DL. When I tried a little before, I even found Candy Cane Inn expensive, but I'm more of a Pop Century in value season kind of girl.

Ok, enough from me. Back to your normal chatting..you Wild Western Women.

Ok, I agree with you Amy. Why are we planning a trip when there are blackout days? The Deluxe doesn't have that many blackout days so I'm confused on why the times chosen include them.

And, the Segway tour is a blast! That's me riding them with Tink33 in the pic from the DIS info page. I'd do it again in a heartbeat.

If you stay onsite, then you get early entry everyday it is offered. Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday. As long as you are there on those days, and checked in, you can use EE.:thumbsup2

Good to see you. And I agree with you on a character meal. I think that would be fun to do maybe on Saturday because by then everyone will have arrived. But we can see how it goes....

Oh that's wonderful news!!! YAY for your DH!! Now does he get a reward for that?? :rolleyes1 :rotfl:

It looks like alot of fun. I'm hoping to do it in January with my DH while my SIL watches the kids. I'll let you all know how it is. If it's really good, I might do it again when we all go.

Well, so far I think April is winning, so you are good on that one. :rotfl:

I hear ya about the block out days. Which AP do you have? I have the Deluxe and from what I can see as you get closer to summer the more block out days there are. But I figure it's only one day, $40. I know personally I've spent that on much less important things then that. DH and I could skip a meal out one day and that would be the $40 right there. LOL

Aww, I'm sorry. I wish you could come with us! It's a ways off, things might change and maybe you can make it.
