VIP tour description. If anyone looks at mouseplanet's message boards, there's a whole thered about VIP experiences and there is discussion of the VIP tour there. And one of the people talking about it has done it with something like 17 people; they have to know in advance, and you get more guides, and of course it's more money...BUT would it be more money to have a bigger group, or to have the group split into two separate tours?
I would absolutely love to go on this tour with y'all.

OK so that said...I'm cheating on this trip. I'm cheating...by....going in 2.5 weeks. ALL ALONE. Yes folks, the gal who has NEVER even spent ONE NIGHT away from her boy is going off to Anaheim like a free spirit. We're getting him ready for this. The biggest issue is that he is still a milk fiend (and I don't mean cow's), so to go to sleep, stay asleep, and wake up happy without that is going to be interesting. But not for me, just for DH, bwa ha ha ha.
And it's only one night away.
So if anyone will be there on the 25th after noon and the 26th from opening to around 5pm, find me. I'm going to check out the festivities organized by another message board on the 26th; offered to volunteer but I was only willing to give up an hour or two and that's not really helping.
DH is urging me to get away, for the reason stated here:
You'll come home relaxed, refreshed, and ready to be a great mom and wife again.
I've gotten two colds inside of 2 months. That's not normal for me. I'm run down, I've had 3 nights of insomnia where I can't even think about sleep until 4am, which then means my ever-patient and SO good 3 year old just sits beside me in bed, looking at books, looking out the (locked) window, putting R2D2 and Buzz Lightyear underneath me, until finally he says the magic words which are "I'm hungry!" or "I have pee! Help me?" Anyway, I need to get away and DH realized this before I did, and wants me to go before April.
He said "this is instead of April" and I crossed my fingers and said OK, but I think even he knows that I was crossing my fingers...
I showed him some Disney math tonight. "So Robert you know how I was talking about that tour, that would be about 79 dollars with the AP discount? Well, if I still went in April, I wouldn't need to go on the tour THIS time, and I could be part of a VIP tour, and that would be only $30, so that's a lot cheaper, right?"

He saw through that too, but he didn't say "no, woman, you agreed blah blah blah", he just smiled.
Since I was always the one most broke among my friends, I've become super-aware that group things like this need to have the GROUP things organized around free or very inexpensive events. So the picture must be in a free area. The big "hi howaya" when the most people will be there should be in a place with less expensive items, say...Hearthstone Lounge (I think?) bar in GCH, or Cove Bar in DCA...a place to mill around and not be locked in to ordering something that's too pricey for your blood, just to be around others. Where you COULD go in there and order one glass of wine, or some water, or something, and not look out of place.
The the satellite activities, there could be more than one going on at any time, though of course at DLR an "activity" could just be "OK now I'm going on Splash 18 times in a row b/c my kids are too short and I never get to go".
I love the idea of Pirates and HM (I'm so excited for my little trip, I'll be there the day it opens back up, and I'm excited for a long line, because I want to see all of the queue and don't have to entertain a 3 year old!!) as a group. IASW would have been good for that, too, but of course it's not a possibility.
I thought I had more to say, but hey, maybe I'm getting sleepy and my insomnia is cured!
