Well this planning leader was so busy today. :sad2: I just hate when real live intrudes on the fun stuff. :rotfl:

:cool1: :cool1: :cool1: :cool1:

I hate that too.:sad2:

Hey, something I've always wanted to do, but never was able was to get fantasmic special seating tickets. It seemed to extravagent for 5 of us (esp. when 2 of the 5 wouldn't appreciate it at all! ) But, seems like the perfect "splurge" for a Ladies Only trip.

That sounds like it would be so much fun. I finally got to see Fantasmic for the first time in October. :cool2:

We did the preferred seating last October, and it was super fun!! To bad the baby cried the whole time, and Alex dropped his fork off the balcony.. Other than that though..:sad2: :rotfl2:

I thought about that and was going to suggest it along with the tours, but then I read that the balcony seating wasn't available anymore and wasn't sure anyone would want to pay that much for the seating down below. I heard the view wasn't that great. :confused3

BUT I'd be up for it if everyone else is!! I will NEVER do it will my family of 6, that's for darn sure. :rotfl:

I've never done that before, but always thought it sounded like a nice splurge if one could afford it.

I might splurge on something this trip though, and Fantasmic special seating might be it. But on the other hand I really want to do that Segway tour at DCA. Of course I could be hungover in the mornings, so maybe an evening splurge on Fantasmic would be a better course of action.:rotfl:

We got so lucky when watching Fantasmic in October this year. We (me, DH, DS8 and DS4) got in line to ride Pirates during the first showing of Fantasmic. We rode the ride, walked out and made a potty break, walked toward the rivers of America, and voila......we walked right into the sit down area for Fantasmic about 3 rows back from the front. We sat down (DH went and got some snacks and drinks and came back), and about 15 minutes later, Fantasmic started. Our view was PERFECT!!! The kids really enjoyed it!
That was lucky! I'm usually the sucker staking out her spot 2 hours before the show starts so I can have front and center. :lmao:

I think no matter what each one of us should splurge a little on this trip, whether it be on the Fantasmic seating, or a nice lunch at Blue Bayou, or tours or all of the above!!

It's our vacation and we are going to live it up dammit!!!!    :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:

:goodvibes No doubt!! I told dh that he can have a new gun, since I will probably be spending ALOT of money on this trip!:rotfl2: :rotfl2: I am going to fit in as much stuff that I cant to with the kids.. Which with my fraidy cat baby, is almost everything there is to do at DL!:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

I have yet to see Fantasmic (hoping to change that on our Dec trip). I am up for just about anything. I've even looked into that Walk in Walt's Steps tour. My dh says I never do anything for me, so I should splurge on this trip. Have I mentioned how much I love him :cloud9:

Truer words have never been spoken!!

I think I might try to do it all eventhough I'll only be there Friday-Sunday. Everything is actually a discount since we only have to pay for one person and not a whole family, right :teacher: . We'll that's my reasoning anyway :upsidedow .

Hey, your reasoning totally works for me. ;)

Hello everyone! I'm hoping to hear from Nick today so we can get the reservations started. I'll let you know as soon as I do. :thumbsup2

I would be up for buying a seat for Fantasmic! I've never done it before and I've always wanted to, but I always have my 4 year old with me and I didn't want to spend the extra for a seat for her because she would end up in my lap anyway.

I am thiniking that I will be there Saturday. If I decide to stay Saturday night, then I will go to the park Sunday too, but it will be hard for me to make it on Friday because my parents would have to watch DD, and they work until about 6pm, and then I'd have a 1-2 hour drive to get to the park. So I am thinking about getting up early Saturday morning and meeting up then.

Hi everybody! Happy Friday!:woohoo:
Hope everyone has had a good week. I've been busy busy busy! Today I was looking at CCI online. It looks really nice! I'm in love with it already. Looks like I may have an opprotunity to take a quick day trip up to Disneyland within the next week or two. If I go, is there anything you guys want me to ask about or check out while I'm there?

The CCI is so great! The rooms are really cute and the beds are comfy, and the staff there is so incredibly nice...we actually had a better time at the CCI than we did at the DLH!

I never wait hours and hours for Fantasmic.

Second showing.. 15- 20 minutes before show, I stand in my secret spot with an awesome view! Just as good as river seating.

Concealed in secrecy.....:cool2:

shhhhhhhhhhhhhh don't tell!

ok, here's the deal.
After the first Fantasmic, the big light tower behind the control desk goes back down, lots of people will walk by thinking "can't see a thing there".

Except, about 10 minutes before show time, the lighting crew climb up and raise the light tower. You do have one light pole in your way ,but other than that , you have a beautiful view of the entire show in front of you.

It's not far from the riverside buffet seating area, yeah I don't have a comfy seat, yeah I don't have fancy desserts... but with just a few minutes pre planning I can slide in and see the show with ZILCH out of my pocket. :thumbsup2

And um errr umm I'm cheap too! :lmao:

Hi Ashley! The CCI does look nice, doesn't it? I'm excited to stay there.

Um, I personally can't think of anything for you to check out while you are there. At least not right this second. I didn't sleep well last night and can't seem to get functional yet! LOL

But thanks for the offer and if I think of anything I'll PM you.

Hi Stephanie! Wow, that's really impressive to hear. Makes me even more excited to stay there. :thumbsup2

Hi Bernice! Thanks for that tip. I'm going to try that.

Usually we'd bring a blanket that we'd store in a locker, and about an hour and a half or so before show time we'd pick our spot right down in front, and we'd sit and wait.
My DH and one of the older kids would go get some dinner from a counter service place and bring it back and that would be our meal time.

Then sometimes I'd stay and save the spot while he'd take the kids on a near by ride or two. By that time of the day, I'd usually welcome the break. Last time we didn't do that though. It was too crowded in Oct, and we were just busy with other things.

By the way, I'm cheap too!! With a family of 6 and one income, I have to be! But this trip I do want to do lunch at Blue Bayou and one other splurge. :thumbsup2

Well, I hope everyone has a good day! I was really hoping to hear from Nick yesterday but so far, nothing. If I don't hear anything soon, I'll call back. :thumbsup2

I had one of my twins home sick all day yesterday so hopefully today is a better day and no one else catches it! I hate stomach bugs. :scared:

But then again, better now then in two weeks when we are at Disney!!

Talk to you guys later!

Hi everyone. Just checking in with all of you.

Thursday night I went to bed feeling terrific. Friday morning I woke up with what I think is the flu!

How does that happen so quickly like that? One minute you're feeling fine and then the next, you feel like somebody beat you up with a baseball bat and poured hot sauce down you throat!

Anyway, I had a sore throat, a cough, chills, body aches all over, a sore neck and jaw, and a HORRIBLE HEADACHE! :headache:

My husband kept saying I couldn't have the flu because I didn't have a fever. Hmmmm, I don't know.....feels like the flu to me.

This morning (Saturday), I feel a little better. My throat still hurts, and the inside of my ears keep popping (and itching :confused3 ). My body, neck and head still hurt a little (not as bad as yesterday), and I'm still feeling kind of weak.

I guess I'll just take it easy today and rest. I need to do a load or two of laundry though, so I'll have to force myself to do that. I have to say though, when you're sick and need to do laundry, you really come to love the invention of the washing machine and the dryer.:thumbsup2

Take care everyone!:)

We leave tomorrow morning!!! Its my birthday weekend. I am turning 22 :lmao: I could not even say that with a straight face.

Anything that you guys want me to check out?

Hi Capri. I'm sorry you're sick. That sucks. It sounds like the flu to me. I hope you feel better fast. :wizard:
