Actually I'm around the boards today, but I think I'm getting sick. My two little boys got the crud last week, then my hubby, and now I'm not feeling very well and I've got the chills. Uh oh!

I'm lurking around too . . . my oldest dd has the stomach flu, and she is the worst sick person. Even my 6 year old who had this last week just laid on the couch and slept it off. . . my 11 year old whines and needs someone to be with her or waiting on her 24/7. Ugh!

Cristabel, welcome to the group! Looking forward to meeting you in less than a month.

Cheryl, have a great trip with your mom. Hope the crowds have died down a bit by the time you get there.

Capri, hope you feel better soon. I am avoiding this stomach flu bug the best I can, but I'm afraid it's inevitable that we'll all get it eventually.

Yep, I'm around too, but getting ready for my trip in a couple of days and it seems like every client has called with an "emergency" project.

Home doing laundry and cleaning now (hate coming home to a less than pristine house!) Am going to organize my packing tonight so all I have to do tomorrow is throw everything in the suitcase!

Oh, wouldn't you know it. Stuff like that always happens at the last minute.

I try to do laundry and clean before I leave too. I hate coming home to a mess. It makes having to leave Disney even harder.

On another note, I just have to say that half the fun of checking this thread numerous times a day is to see Beths newest avatar and/or pictures. You are sure fun to follow, girl!

What can I say, I get bored easily. The latest avatar is one of an Alaskan cruise which is my dream to someday go on.

So I'm still without a roomie and if I can't get one set in a reasonable amount of time I guess I'll have to go to my uncle's house (30 minutes NE of Disneyland) but I won't have the full DIS meet experience!

So I'm still without a roomie and if I can't get one set in a reasonable amount of time I guess I'll have to go to my uncle's house (30 minutes NE of Disneyland) but I won't have the full DIS meet experience!

So...my DH is on his way to the airport for a "MANcation" in Vegas with his buddies yesterday and I ask him if it would be ok for me to do a ladies trip to DL a couple days before our family trip to Legoland/DL end of April and he says "I think that would be great" (he'd have let me go the moon had I asked, just so long as I didn't stall his Vegas buddy trip) and I immediately PM Beth to see if it would be ok to squeeze me in and she says ok (with full disclosure that reservations have already been made and I'd have to check in with individual planners to get into scheduled events) so...

....DEEP BREATH...

I'd be very excited to meet you all if you're up to squeezing another person in the trip!

About me...We already have reservations for Residence Inn for the family, so I'm planning on just adding on a night there, so won't need a place to stay or roomate. I live in Castro Valley in SF East Bay. I'm a Mom of 2 sons (3 and almost 5). Work full time as a marketing manager for a technology company (telecommuting and on the computer all day ). And I love Disney. And I'd really like to go to DL with a group of people who like it as much or even more than me. And I'm very excited about the prospect of enjoying the parks for a couple of days without a stroller and a large backpack of sippy cups, pull ups, extra clothes and snacks!

Nice to meet you on the boards and hope to meet you soon in person.

Hi Cristabel. I really hope a roomie appears for you but honestly, at this point, I think everyone might be set on that.

We started planning the trip back in Nov and finding a roomie and booking a room was one of the first things that happened.

Some people are not rooming with people from the DIS but rather friends or family members they are bringing with them, so perhaps you can find someone who'd like to join you on the trip? A relative or friend maybe? Anyone is welcome, they don't have to be a DISer, as long as they are not male, lol, and at least 18.

The list is on page 1, so if you have RSVP'd you should be on that list. I want to call and make reservations tonight, so I'm cutting y'all off at 6 pm. Let me know by then, ok?

Also, I'm going to need some help in securing the reservations since there are too many of us ladies and the Cafe only will take reservations for up to 6 people, I believe. I'll call and double check on that. Anyway, will anyone be around tonight and can help me with calling Disney Dining and coordinating it so we all get in at the same time?
