Girls Trip #1 (check in daily for any plans being finalized or changes/updates)

There is no graceful way to get out of the rides in Disney Parks. I don't care how young you are. Just make sure you have a buddy coming out after you to give ya a boost if needed.

Actually I'm looking forward to Space Mtn at DL. It's a car more like RnR than SM at WDW. I almost crawl out of that car onto the floor at the end of the ride.

Aww, Shelley. I can't wait to ride Space mountain with you. You probably won't need to crawl out of it though. You will probably crawl out of the Matterhorn bobsled and the Splash Mountain log. All things to look forward to on our Disneyland trip!

Hey, I find the Matterhorn to be a bit awkward. Kinda a scoot forward and lurch. And that is on a good knee day!!!

Chris--I would love to go to the Julie Andrews thing!!! Just felt a little hesitant to do it myself. Don't know why, I am hardly timid. I live down the 5 and 805 near Qualcom...so could easily meet you at any of those places!! I jsut need to be able to drop my kid at school first. Or, grovel and get the DH to do it.

One of these days I am going to have to learn to do those quote things!!! I am so far from a techno nerd!!!

I definitely will NOT be able to do the Julie Andrews thing . . . . just found out last night that I have to go with my Mom to the UCLA cancer center for a consultation on that day (she has skin cancer). I'm hoping that if they schedule surgery it doesn't coincide with the Ladies only trip . . . . . .

I did that with my Mom one time. She had to have an angioplasty done on her leg. I told her to make sure they didn't schedule it, while I was gone a trip that I had made plans for months in advance. At first she said she would be OK without me. I said no............ Not only would I not be there, but I would worry about her, and then my trip would be stressful to boot. So then she understood.
Fortunately it went really well. But you never know.

Hopefully all will work out perfectly. My Dad and Sister have both had skin cancer. So I religiously put on sunguard everyday. I consider it my moisterizer.

Well, I'm just anticipating at this point . . . . the consult with the surgeon/reconstruction guy is on the 8th, so I am going with her and will do my darndest to steer away from that weekend (I also have something planned the weekend of the 13th and May 2nd but would rather give those up than the Ladies' trip!)

My Mom's experience with skin cancer has also made me much more cautious about the sun . . . I'm probably not as good as you about sunscreen. I usually try to wear longer sleeves and hats. She has had numerous surgeries in the past three or four years and they just keep taking more and new cancers keep breaking out. She was a sunbather in her youth and also fished and gardened quite a bit and I never remember her wearing sunscreen. Unfortunately it's come back to bite her in her old age.

Sure has been quiet on the "Ladies Trip" thread lately. Everyone must be busy, busy, busy.....I know I have been extremely busy! WHEW!

Hope everyone had a great Easter. My parents and my MIL came over to our house for Easter dinner, and everything tasted GREAT! I have a ton of ham left over. Anyone have any great ham recipes?

I'm SO ready for our ladies trip! Oh, my hubby got me an early mother's day gift.....a new camera for our ladies trip. He's so sweet!

Yesterday we had brunch at the Disneyland Hotel. It was nice but sadly not as cool as it had been in the past.

Do you think there are still rooms at the hotel? I still haven't booked

I just got my brown and pink Crocs Capri sandals in the mail. I think they will totally match the brown shirts! And my new sea foam Mary Janes will match the other shirt!
