That is Jim Carrey......either that or it's my husband on the day I leave for our trip.;)
:lmao: :lmao:

My neck/back/head hurts so bad, and I know tomorrow is gonna be a lot worse.

Hope you all had a great day. It was almost 90 degrees here in Phx. HOT! I'm not ready to turn on my AC yet!
So sorry about your accident!! We were rear ended on the freeway here and it's not fun. I hope you feel better fast.
And that it cools down some!! Yikes! That seems really hot for this early in the year.

Keep your fingers crossed she has it early in the month.
Fingers and toes are crossed for ya!! :wizard:

I think I'm the only one who doesnt like them. :cool2:

I don't really like them much either. They are just ok. What's worse..... I hate those Tigger Tails. :rolleyes1 Not my thing at all. LOL
Oh, but I love the rice krispy things and the shakes at DCA. Yum.

Well, good morning ladies!! I hope you all have a good day! :)

I got mine too . . . love the silver Mary Janes . . . not so sure about the Capri sandals . .. .even though they will match the shirts!

DBF saw them and siad, Those are ugly! I knida agree. But if they are comfortable then I'll keep them.

Ok, I'm not above bribes! Whatever it takes!

Sure you don't want a Mickey Mouse rice crispy thing with chocolate instead? Or a Tigger Tail? Or a pretzel from the place in Critter Country that's covered in caramel and dark chocolate?

(can we see a chocolate theme here?)

:dance3:

Hmm I've never had a tigger tail. I kept searching for them last trip since i had heard so much about them but could not find them. Ok so maybe I didnt search that hard.

chocolate is always good. I'm not above selling out to a lot of people. :rotfl2:

:lmao: :lmao:

Thanks

And now we are best friends for life for not liking dole whips! Someday we can share a shake together while everyone else gets dole whips!

Maybe we should start a anti-Dole Whip club or something. :snooty: :lmao:

Hiya Ladies!

The highlight of my day? Getting rear ended by a palm tree. :headache: Well, ok, so I actually backed my van into a palm tree, but now I know what it feels like to be rear ended. OWIE! My neck/back/head hurts so bad, and I know tomorrow is gonna be a lot worse.

I was supposed to be starting a diet today, and was doing really well until I got home after the accident, and then I soothed my nerves with my kids' Easter chocolate. :rolleyes1 Ok, so the diet will officially start tommorow!

I already got the lanyards (so much nicer than the pic I posted) and the t-shirts should be here in about a week. Yea! I'm so excited to see them. :cool1:

Callie~ Sorry about your accident. I hate when trees appear out of nowhere and run into cars ;) . I hope you aren't too sore.

I have been trying to start a diet since New Years :scared1: . But life keeps getting in the way and the diet goes to heck. I've actually gained 20 lbs since New Years so that tells you how well my diet is going :headache: .

Let us know how the t-shirts turned out once you get them :thumbsup2 .

Oh oh, I forgot to tell you gals about a funny Easter story.

First, let me start by telling you that my four year old son, Luke, is like a little carbon copy of Chris Farley (his personality and slap-stick comedy that is).

Anyway, we (me, Ryan 8, and Luke 4) were watching "The Ten Commandments" on TV. We're getting to the part where Moses is climbing up Mt. Sinai to talk to God. Moses finally gets to the top and starts talking to God (the burning bush), and Luke throws his arms in the air in complete disbelief and says, "GOD looks like a BUSH?!?!???? You've got to be kidding me?!?!" ---> (Luke's face)

:lmao: ---> (my face for the next 5 minutes)

That is so cute and made me laugh :lovestruc . I love that age because kids say the cutest things.

I was just at DL yesterday and forgot to look for the Tigger tails, I think they're down by the entrance/exit to Splash Mountain. I'll be back tomorrow so I'll look for them.

The dole whips are okay, I don't usually get one but my DD does so I sometimes have a bite, but I can take them or leave them.

Now chocolate, that's another thing. Especially dark chocolate!! It's not that I don't like milk chocolate, but I would so much rather have DARK!!! I will bring some with me, I always do when we go somewhere; luckily only one of my DD also likes dark so I don't have to share too much, DH and DS don't like it at all.

Callie, hope everything is okay, I've never been rear ended so I have no idea what it feels like. Here's some more pixie dust pixiedust: pixiedust: But today, my shins, feet and hips hurt from walking around DL all day yesterday... and it was HOT here too!! It's supposed to cool down quite a bit in the next couple of days so hopefully it will be much more comfortable here, as well as there, especially by the time we get home on Saturday.

Anyone want me to look for anything while I'm here? I'm doing a pin exchange on the Community board and found some really cool pins at the Disney store for my exchanges. Also got my 12-year-old DD involved, she loves doing the exchanges (thanks Beth! I saw your msg on the board, she'll be excited to get the package!)

Okay, enough rambling for now... gotta rest up for another day in DL tomorrow!

Do you mean at the HOJO? If for some reason you have trouble getting a room, let me know. I still have mine reserved and can just transfer it to your name.

Oh, I forgot about that too, I still have my room reserved and now I'll be rooming with Ruth... Does anyone else not have a room yet? I wonder if we can transfer it to someone else.

Ill take one of those!!:cool1: :cool1:

I had a very eventful Saturday. One I do not wish to repeat :lmao: Yes I can laugh about it now:goodvibes

Well Hubby was going to do the grocery shopping and of course I am Virtual Magic kingdom doing jungle cruise in my room and keeping out little one (our 15 pound American Eskimo /Pappillion mix locked up with me cause she takes a hissy fit every time her daddy leaves without me. I hear Ruth RUTH and I go gee I was right in a game.

I get up right away. He says call the fire department the car caught fire.

So I call 911 cause I have no idea what the fire department telephone number is.

Glenn said the car smoked inside and he got out to check the back since that is where the smart cars engine is. And when he went around the front flames were coming out the front vents. The smart is a diesle engine.

He ran and got the fire extinguisher and put the flames out and rolled the car out side the garage.

So scary if we did not have one it could have been so much more tragic.

This happened around 10:30 am the fire department did come to make sure it was definately out.

By the time he called insurance and the rental place it was 11:20.

It closes at noon. And I call the taxi at 11:20 am did not get here till 11:50 ahhhhhhhhhhh. I called like four times.

Then told the rental place he is on his way please keep it open til he gets there. It is only 5 minutes away.

This Easter we have so much to be thankful for. We are all safe and unharmed.

If you do not have a working fire extinguisher go out and get one today. It saved our house.

And today we are still waiting on the insurance guy to decide if it is a write off or they are going to fix it.

And Until they decide we did not start it they are making us pay everything up front but we will be re-embursed for the cost of rental which is nice to know. Just which they would hurry up.

30 days left to Disneyland :)

Excellent! Sounds great!

To anyone else planning their Disneyland trips this year, here is some valuable info...

The beginning of April (1st-10th) will be a good time to go with very minimal crowds, but STAY AWAY the weekend of April 18-20 with the major cheer and dance competition taking place!! Went last year with it going on and it was the most crowded I've ever seen! The lines were just crazy and it was tough just walking around! Also, early May won't be very crowded either!

I am stuck with plane tickets for the 18-21st of April. Can you tell me if you think it is busier than Christmas? If it is the same that I can do it just fine, but if it is New Year's busy I might have to change my plans!

Honestly I think it might be busier than Christmas, it is a major compeition for all the teams. It might be that Christmas time made everything seem less stressful, but that competition last year made both parks almost unbareable to be at. Both Space Mountain and Tower of Terror were 2 hour waits pretty much the entire day. It was tough trying to get from one land to the other because of all the people.

If you cannot change your plans, I would strongly suggest going to Disneyland on Friday and DCA on Saturday, seeing as how Disneyland is always more crowded on Saturdays.

I'm glad she enjoys doing the exchanges and I hope her package gets there soon!! Enjoy your day at DL, and try to stay cool.

OMG, wow. I am so glad to hear things weren't worse. How scary. Come to think of it, we don't have a fire extinguisher. I guess we'd better get one!!

Ugh, we were there once with one of those cheer events going on and there were TONS of little girls running all over with their cheer outfits on and hair curls. :rotfl: They were everywhere!!!

I feel like I'm in the Twilight Zone ... did another thread get morphed onto ours, or is this still the Girls trip thread?:confused3

In any case, the DIS girls are going the next weekend - April 24-27th.

We are going as two adults with 4 full days in the park - Friday through Monday. If the ride wait and lines to change lands are as you describe it sounds just like the Christmas crowds. I am pretty good at navigating around it. We will just get fast passes early and cruise around leisurely. Thanks for the heads up!

Sorry to have hijacked the thread! I hope you guys have a great girls trip! I think my friend and I should have come with you instead of all of the cheerleaders!

Yep, we've been officially Hi-Jacked!

I think GoDisneyforLife posted that same information on like 9 different threads. Beware the evil :cheer2: ! They will RUIN your DLR trip. :sad2: I think we get it. ;)

No problem. I suggest going to Disneyland on either Friday, Sunday, or Monday. Stay away on Saturday.
