I can handle some scents without a headache, but many will give me th e instant queasies.

But, you see the problem and crisis I was having picky goodies for an unknown receipient. Too much individual variation. Donna doesn't do scents, hand sanitizers itch out my hands, some are dieting, I can't do chocolate or wine,
some people love country music, others feel their eardrums bleed with the first twang.....arrrrrgggggghhhhhh, the pressure.

I actually went with a nice something that if whoever gets it, thinks--oh, this is ever so not me, they can smile sweetly and thank me while plotting to regift the item at the earliest opportunity.

It will be swell, it is the thought that counts....and it is all good.

Besides, who doesn't LOVE a slinky???

What is the amount we are supposed to be spending?
AMySue

Twenty clamshells.

I do see your pain.

You made me lol over the slinky. I swear, woman, you missed your calling as a standup comedienne. :rotfl2:

1. Slinky's are cool
2. I don't want to work tomorrow either. I work with idiots! I feel verbally abused from dumb old men (ok not old but he is pissed that his family won't take him home because they can't care for him, so he is an ***** to everyone & thinks that he is the only one in the whole building who needs help), and did I mention my co-workers are idiots and only half the nurses are helpful when asking a question??
3. I really don't want to work tomorrow.......

Hi Tracey

OOOOhhhhhhhh....Dickies makes the most comfiest scrubs!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY BRIANNE!!!!!

Sorry don't know how to do balloons or any of that cool stuff so that is all you get............ Have a great day and looks like you had fun at Sgt Peppers dualing pianos this weekend! Love the pictures on FB.

Good morning and happy monday everyone!! Hope everyone had a GREAT weekend.

Mine was pretty good. Fairly laid back.

Had an INTERSTING morning this morning. Shane called me and told me to listen to a message on his old phone. TG we still have it connected for a few more weeks. Anyway apparently Lynn has run away AGAIN! UGH! She will be 18 in LESS than a month. SHEESH! SO annoying. Shane JUST bought her a 200 phone too. Oh well. What else is new. I am just so DONE! Anyway nuff about that!

Today I plan to workout and then off to work once again. Not much else exciting on tap for the week. Am looking forward to the weekend as it is a 3 dayer. I hope to do some fun stuff with the girls! Shane got asked to do a job this weekend so he will be working Sat and Sun but we NEED the money so I'm cool with it!

I still have SO much to do for the trip. STILL need to find our black shirts and get the transfers and mom and I HAVE to call Barb to coordinate with her. Plus I need to start working on our nametags for the scavy hunt. So much to do so little time! :)

Hope everyone has a GREAT day! TTYL

Good morning!
It's...Monday. blegh  I hate Mondays.

We had a great first day back on the morning schedule and Anais even got to school 15 minutes early! :thumbsup2

I hope everyone has a survivable Monday! I have to find out my chores of the day and see when I'm going to start making dinner.

I dislike Monday's too.

I have a doctor's appointment at 4. And that's pretty much it for me today. Boring.

Happy Birthday Bree!!!

This is from me.

I don't want to go to work tomorrow, anyone else? Discuss.

I am OK with swapping after too since we will be stealing throughout. I actually have some variety in mine (so far) and figure if the person who ends up with it doesn't like something, there is a high liklihood that one in the 40+ women there will. I won't be offended.

I didn't want to come in this or next week. I wish it was the start of Feb so I could be doing stuff for this trip and be in the low 2 digit countdown until back at DL.

(BTW - this made me lol at work. :rotfl: I read it and just imagined a very "Actors Studio" type interview with the "discuss" at the end.)

I think we are going to get along just great! Aren't 4 year olds great!:thumbsup2:scared1:

Sarah

Yours waited until 4 to start talking back? I guess Ty is precocious then since he routinely tells us to "leave" and "go away", especially his dad. Just this morning he told Dave to go away because he didn't want his socks and shoes put on :rotfl2: I think that a shirt that he received for his second birthday sums up our world quite nicely "Twos aren't terrible, I'm having a blast!"

Beth please update the front page and title of the thread to reflect this request

Good morning ladies!

As a member of your Meet and Greet Committee, I am hard at work planning a fun opening activity that will allow us to get to know one another even better as we begin our pajama party.

In order to put this game together, I need some information from all of you. Please PM, Facebook or email me 3 facts about yourself that no one else (or very few) in the group already knows These can range from serious to silly and don't have to be life shattering revelations. Examples could include thing like the fact that you have a tattoo, the kind of music you enjoy, a hobby or activity that you have participated in, or a funny story that you would like to share.

Please send the information to me with your screen name, your real name and the three facts in this format by February 1st.

Cheshiregirl/Jane
1. I have a tattoo of the sun with a shamrock on my lower back.
2. I met Guy Fieri while waiting in the single rider line of Toy Story Mania last year.
3. In high school I took the oath of initiation into National Honor Society with the wrong hand raised in front of an auditorium filled with over 800 people including my (very proud) parents.

I will then use some of the information to put together a get to know you game that I think you all will enjoy!

Thanks in advance for your help and your willingness to share!!!:lovestruc

 Well, he just turned 4 last week. And he was a very late talker - so I think it delayed his talking back.:rotfl: However, even before he was talking he could throw a tantrum that could wake up the dead!

In Ethan's defense I should say that we believe his tantrums can somewhat be related to watching Jack's behaviors (my son with autism). Not that it is an excuse, but certainly a factor. I'm looking forward to being able to explain Jack's disability to Ethan, but at just 4 he doesn't have that understanding yet.
However, his downright defiance is what worries me and we need to get in under control.:headache:

I think 2 and 3 are both really hard ages. NOT my favorite ages for sure!:sad2: I'm hoping since he turned 4 he will somehow just snap out of it!:) (I can dream, right?)

13 is by far not my favorite age.........
Well 9 hasn't been too bad, but he does turn 10 in 2 months.....

Does Ethan go to speech? Kaeleb was a late talker. He flat out refused to speak at all. When he did finally start to talk it was like trying to figure out what Charlie Brown's mom or teacher was saying.
He started Speech therapy when he was 3 finished last year when he was 8.
He goes every three months now to make sure he doesn't fall back.

Sometimes I like it better when he didn't talk.

Uh oh! I haven't dealt with 13 yet. My oldest is 12!

Yes, Ethan has been going to Speech since he was 20 months old. At that age he only said "ball". Because of his brother's diagnosis I didn't wait around and had him assessed. He qualified for a highly-intensive early intervention pre-school program that he immediately started and still attends over 2 years later. (He goes M-F for 4 1/2 hours a day.) He sees a ST during those hours and the whole program is speech-based.
However, we just had his IEP and he has tested out of this program.:woohoo: This is good news for sure. Come Feb he will start going to a "typical" preschool on weekday mornings at the Christian school my older kids attend. He still qualifies for special ed and will also be attending a speech/socialization class that our local school district has 3 afternoons a week. He will be one busy boy!! :thumbsup2

Hello ladies!!

Hope you all had a good weekend. Mine was great. Had a lot of fun with Theresa and Jane.
Last night it was right back to reality though. As soon as I got home, Noelle was vomiting and continued to do so most of the night. :sad2: She's much better now so it was probably something she ate, but I am soooooo tired.

Spent the morning cleaning and getting laundry done. Funny how two days of "vacation" can really make things add up around the house!

I've only skimmed back, but I did add the Tortuga Tarts, took Stacie off Storytellers, added Stacie and her mom to Aerials, and updated the title and front page per Jane's request.

IF I missed anything please let me know. Thanks!!

TTYL!! :)

Happy Birthday Bree!!!!!!!! :bday:

Courtney, Is your tummy still bothering you?

Yes, 'mam. Not as bad as last week, but it's still bothering me. Hopefully the doc has some answers. Thanks, Mel.

Poor thing, I hope she feels better today.

Katie, I updated the title to include this page, and also updated my status on FB to direct everyone to check in over here. I'll put those poll links on the first page though.
