I went to Walmart tonight and saw that they have plain, scoop-neck tees for $6.00. Hopefully they'll still be around in late January or early February. I've already started shopping for the pillow case exchange and I'm going semi-crafty because I like things MY way :lmao:. Does anyone know the price bracket for the pc exchange?

I'm going to sketch out a budget for the trip and hope to save MORE than that amount so I won't feel restricted.

Is Chippendales in town?:rotfl2:

This was my thought...and if they are, I want to go too!

Hmmmm....Cheryl needing permission to be wild (aka being Tiger's new girlfriend), and now Beth is meeting up with her.....I wonder what kind of trouble they are getting into????

Oh, we could think of all kinds of fun stories...;)

Mel, I think you have our teams request (Beth, Theresa, and I....oh and did Deb want to join us?). We will be the thinking heavily with a little walking and a corndog on a bench group. :thumbsup2

I love the idea for a group Billy show....that reminds me....

Tina!!!

I read on another board about a rumor about the Billies going dark for January, but that when they come back, their show will be cut down to 20 minutes. Do you know anything about this? There is speculation that they will be adding more shows of 20 minutes in order to get more people in and out thus buying more food. Thoughts? My concern with this, is what are we going to lose in the show? The 'train thang'? The 'puddle prance'? The 'billy teeth'? I know each show is different, but it makes me sad to think they might change it and we might lose some of the shows we knew and loved....

I need to be in a group like this please. I want to be able to take my time and smell the churros and not pull any groin muscles in the process!:worship:

At CO you can just split an order of pomme frites and beignets. :)

This comment cracks me up. :lmao:

That sounds wonderfully "heavy" to me. :cloud9:

:rotfl: Doesn't it? Okay, we'll stay! Pomme frites are a meal in itself to me. And I've never had beignets there. Maybe we can find someone who wants to share with us. And I'll have a mint julep. Yummm!

Oh yeah..........enquiring minds want to know what is happening at 5:30? hmm???

Huh huh huh? :hyper:

Back to the scavvy hunt.

Once again, if any of you ladies wish certain buddies, or types of walking/ running/sauntering styles on your team,
PLEASE LET ME KNOW!!!

I am beginning to make up your teams already. :woohoo::woohoo::woohoo:

What's going on!! popcorn::

I'm not sure if I want to be on a "let's take it slow and walk and eat churro team" or a "I wanna win this thing ROOOARR!!" team. :confused3

I need to make a list of what we need to buy/make/etc. It's all coming up so fast!

And I need a budget. Oy!

Wow! This weekend has flown by! We have had Christmas gatherings with family both yesterday and today. But now everything is over and time to get organized.:thumbsup2 Tomorrow I hope to get all the Christmas decor put away.

Patty - thanks for joining my table for CC!:thumbsup2 I know its early - especially after eating lunch at Ariels - but like Beth I'll probably just be getting some soup!:) Anyone else want to join us early birds??

Mel, can you put me on a team with Patty for the scavenger hunt? Her strategy sounds like mine: I like a good challenge, but no pulling muscles (which means no running!) :rotfl:

BTW - Our family Flying Dumbos team for the MA got 4th place out of 14 in the Family division and if they would have put us in the overall standing we had enough points to tie with 54th place out of 155 teams that had scoring.:cool1:

I have the bug and can't wait!!!

Ok ladies, I just read on another site that Wine Country Trattoria is closing in early January for a "makeover" to double the seating capacity (they must be using the upstairs vineyard room space) and won't re-open until later in the Spring when World of Color debuts. Does anyone know if this is true? If so the WCT lunch will need to be relocated somewhere.

Oh, and I have no idea where Beth is going at 5:30 . . . .

Uh oh, after reading this I just checked the DL website and the Billies ARE on for January but the shows are listed as 25 instead of 35 minutes, and even though the schedule is up through Feb. 7, there are NO Billy shows listed for February. So it looks like they are shortening them, and lets hope they put them on for February! I am thinking that the schedule through the end of the month should be coming up any day.

We're at the point that I can now print out day planner sheets and start scheduling in the activities and meals! I love doing that, it makes it feel more official. I'm also going to start a "have" and "need" list. Hopefully it won't be hot! I really dislike the humidity at DLR so I'd love it to be so I can wear jeans and a tee comfortably. I don't mind putting on my jacket at night but it's the whole hokey pokey during the day because I get cold on a ride and then hot when walking.

Sing along
♪♫ Put your jacket on, take your jacket off, put your jacket on and shake it all about. You do the jacket hokey pokey and you turn yourself around, that's what it's all about. HOKEY POKEY♪♫

;)

:goodvibes We had a wonderful day. I will just say that Mary Poppins is FABULOUS! Well worth every dime as Donna said. Sometimes the British accents were hard to decipher, but so very cute and well done. The children actors were over the top. As were all the actors. Bert was our favorite and the group tap scene the best.

Ok. I am calling in for Napa Rose tomorrow am. It will be a special and lovely meal.:) I look forward to it with my fellow Diva's!

Beth, remember when I made the WCT ressie's in Oct for a party of 21? They told me I had to arrange it with the manager directly cause they didn't make large party PS's anymore. He called me back two days later and told me we had to have a "set menu" and it was $30 per person. I was very frank with him - explained the nature of our group and that $30 pp was not in our budget but ASSURED him we would show up. That's when he said he would make an exception as long as we all paid with cash (or DD) as they would not do separate checks. Asit turned out, they did do separate checks and it was all good, but I think that's their new policy.

Oh, and Beth is going with Bree & I at 5:30 to work on a special project. College stuff, a boring project - you know.

Cheryl, so glad you are feeling better.

Bummer about the shortened Billy show. And I guess we need to all "meet" for a CS at DCA on Monday since WWC will be closed? Another bummer, I love that place.:sad1:

Is it really possible that it will be hot in February? I was expecting to wear long sleeves and/or a hoodie or jacket the entire time.

Well that just killed all the fun of speculating what was going on. So what other rumors can we start? College project, huh? Nah.....you're all going to see Chippendales!

Yes, it is true that WCT will not be open during our trip. I've been busy with my mil and didn't log on until late. You guys can always fb or email me.

Yes, that was fab! I'm soo glad you enjoyed it!! The director has directed for the RSC so that's one reason it was so well done. Please see PM, Linda.

Oooooh! A secret rendevous on the Girls Only trip!
:rolleyes1

I am beginning to make up your teams already. :woohoo::woohoo::woohoo:
 :cool1: Sign-ups for that close January 1st, right?

I can't remember if I mentioned it, but I vote for Sunday at 1:00 for the group Billy show.
Yes, anyone interested in the Billy show post the time you'd like to go. Tina is going to oversee a group viewing of the show and she will let me know what day to add it. :charac2:

Is Chippendales in town?:rotfl2:
:lmao: Chip and Dale are always at Disney silly girl. ;)

Does anyone know the price bracket for the pc exchange?
Around $20.

:thumbsup2 ::yes::

OKay Melody, so far your slow poke ladies are myself, Theresa, Heather, Shirley, Patty and Becci. We'll all be bringing up the rear. ;) Deb too, if she wants.

Yeah, how come this didn't get on the schedule? Beth, are you holding out on us?
Me? Never! :rolleyes1

Well bummer. Don't they know we had plans to go there?? :confused3

Okay, so all those signed up for WCT we need a plan B. Any ideas? Do we want to try and book another restaurant? Or what about just doing a meet up in DCA at the open seating area in Pacific Wharf. I love the soup there, and wouldn't mind eating there. Others could grab some Mexican food if they want since it's in the same area.

I'm open to any suggestions though. Whatever y'all want is fine with me.

Okay, that's good to know. I'll see what I can do. First, he needs to call me back!! Hopefully today sometime. I'll keep everyone updated.

Good morning ladies!!

Linda, let me know when you have the Napa Rose reservations and the exact time. Thanks. :)

I just realized that for Sunday, other than breakfast at Riverbelle Terrace, I don't have any meal plans. :scared1: I'll starve!!!!!!

;)

This is the schedule that day:
Segway Tour @ 7:15 a.m.
Group pics at Pixie Hollow at opening
Breakfast at Riverbelle Terrace (Time TBD)
OR
House of Blues Gospel Brunch @ 10 a.m.
Dinner: Napa Rose @ 6:00

I'm not doing the gospel brunch, I've done it before and it is good! And I'm not doing Napa Rose. Although I know many of you love it there, it's too rich for my blood and not really my type of food.
So I'm thinking of making a reservation for House of Blues for an early dinner, around 6:00, same time as Napa Rose and maybe we can all meet up after. Anyone else interested in HOB dinner?

Let me know if you are. (I think we could probably book up to 10-12 without too much trouble.)
