What about some of the book titles that AmySue sent to Mary Jo in her stocking. She posted them on that thread. They sound more like thrillers, not romance.

Hi Girls: I just wanted to share with you (hope the Dis doesn't mind) a blurb I wrote that was just sent out to all the Reindeer Games participants for this weekend's event. My understanding is that they are going to set up a wishing well or something to take donations for Dawn's charity:

Water Wells for Africa

Some of you may remember "Little Churro" from the Spring 2009 MouseAdventure as the runner-up in the Mascot competition. Its creator was Dawn Field--a MousePlanet member who went by the screenname "Fairykin." Dawn was unfortunately a victim of the H1N1 flu and passed away from pneumonia on November 22nd. She was scheduled to participate in Reindeer Games next weekend.

Her family has asked that in lieu of flowers donations be made in her name to Water Wells for Africa, P.O. Box 635, Manhattan Beach, CA 90267 (www.waterwellsforafrica.org) as Dawn was hoping to fund a well in her and her husband's name next year--63% of the Malawian people do not have access to safe water within a mile of their homes and this charity is hoping to establish 1,000 or more wells to provide safe water. This idea was typical of Dawn who was a loving and giving mother, grandmother, daughter and friend.

Dawn's signature sign-off was "Love and Light." Love and Light to Dawn, her loving family and friends.

What was funny was that the one person was razzing you about using "there" instead of "their" and I looked at some of her other posts and she had typos and stuff. I was SO tempted to make a comment but I figured life was too short.

I had more, but I can't remember. This is one of the busiest weeks of the year for me, with my regular jobs plus three parties plus candy making. I'm a little overwhelmed, but at least I get my birthday week off at the end of the month to spend in the mountains.

Got back from the doctor's, I am cleared to work so that's good. But now I am on two meds for hypertension, and have to go back next week for a re check. Plus, I have to take my blood pressure three times every day.

Kind of a drive by post, have to go pick up Selena from Girl Scouts.

Hope all is well with everyone. I just want to crawl into bed and wake up tomorrow. This will probably sound very funny (and if it happened to anyone else I would be laughing). Josh took our dog (90lb lab.) in the van to take Raine to school this morning. Well right after she got out of the car, Josh was waiting for the car in front of him to move and a large crow was standing a few feet away from the car. Our dog some how forgot there was glass in front of him (he was in the front passenger seat) and decided to try to jump through the window to get the crow. The window stopped him but in the process created about a 10-11 in. diameter spider crack in the windshield. So now I've got to figure out when we can get it replaced before it gets worse. Sorry for venting.

Thanks for posting that info Cheryl. What a remarkable thing Dawn was doing. I for one am not surprised. I was hoping to go to Paris with Dawn and Cheryl in 2011, but would be up for a WDW diva trip. We could all stay at the same DVC! Cheryl swears by SS and I have never stayed there...

I wasn't off of work, but with my BP being what it was, I wasn't "cleared" to work. So I made my way to my doc ASAP and got it checked out. He wrote my good to go note. So I didn't have to miss any work, thankfully.

OK, so whoever can make it this weekend, lets plan to meet Sunday morning at Riverbelle Terrace at 9:00 or whenever you can get there. I have never had breakfast there and can't wait!

I will be at MA with my 2 sons, Bryan 17 and Rob 29. We are "Duck Squad" and will be wearing our brand-new PAC10 Championship U of O shirts! DH will be attending a conference (starting tomorrow, just took him to the airport) on Saturday, but should make it for breakfast Sunday. We are arriving Thursday night with DD and her hubby and BABY who will be visiting relatives but will be joining us at DL on Friday. We are all coming back home Monday night.

Definitely need to take in a holiday Billy show at some point!

The T-shirt plan sounds great. I have a black hoodie from Old Navy just waiting for a design and now I need to find a new tie-dye shirt since the one I got a couple of months ago is too big. I never thought I would wear a Medium. Goodbye, 42 double Ds! Sorry, TMI.......

I have planned a few killer trips to WDW!! Definitely not for the faint of heart. I would LOVE to find a way to get paid for doing that.

I am so sad I won't be there....but it is good I didn't try to sign for it since I have to work Saturday, my parents are coming on Friday from Ohio and my DD has her CHristmas play production Saturday and Sunday...so really couldn't go.
