I bought a shirt and zip up black hoodie today as well as the transfer paper for dark colored clothing. I will be sending them to Amy Sue once I print the design on the transfer paper! Thanks again Amy Sue!

I put my dd down for a nap around 5 and she is still out...I think I will just let her sleep till morning. She has been getting up pretty late recently and she needs to start getting up a bit earlier anyway.

Have a good night ladies!

Less than 2 months to go!

Sarah

Sorry I didn't check in earlier ladies!

I got my PS for exactly at 5:00pm. I'm going to call and confirm tomorrow because now that I'm reading everyone else got much later times than 5! Was 5pm not available? I called and got through to DD around 9ish.

Cheryl, I'm so sorry you got sick from Christmas dinner! :( I hope you recover quickly and are able to enjoy the rest of the weekend!

Hi Divas! Well, now I'm thinking it's the stomach flu rather than food poisoning--no one else in the family got sick. Or maybe it was something I ate earlier in the day. Who knows--the good news is that I am feeling better but did NOT plan to spend a precious Saturday with nothing to do in bed!

thanks to those who made the PS's

I am glad it sounds like the Divas all had great Christmases.

I'm hosting a New Year's Eve "family" party next week--called family because it's adults and kids (of course the little ones usually don't last until midnight!) I'm trying to figure out a dinner menu--something easy, of course, but "different"--I can always do a prime rib or something but wanted to make something a little unusual. I thought about Lobster Mac N Cheese (and I could leave out the lobster in the kids' because they probably wouldn't eat it) but any other ideas?

Ok--off to search for more recipes--talk to y'all later!

Cheryl

The Key Lime pie was delicious (I squeezed the limes by hand. My hand is sore, but fresh lime juice is a MUST for the best pie). I wish I could send you some.

Wow! Squeezed by hand, impressive. I don't think I'd have the patience.

Sorry you lost a whole day, but glad you are feeling better. I have no additional ideas for menu items, but too add a couple votes for the lobster mac n cheese. Not from me directly (don't like lobster). I told my dh and mom about it and they vote for that!

I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas. Despite the loss of gifts ours turned out pretty well.

I just wanted to post that I for sure will not be making it in February. No matter how hard I work for it, it's just not going to happen. I'm so frustrated and tired of feeling like the hamster in the wheel working so hard and not getting anything for it. Sorry, I'm venting I guess. I'm just tired, very tired. I hope you all have fun.:grouphug:

Hi Diva's! Merry Christmas to you all. I did not have any time to get on FB or Dis until this morning briefly before heading to work. I was able to read back a few pages on my lunch via my phone, but not reply until now!
It sounds like everybody had a nice time, with the exception of those who got sick or have sick family members :( Sorry! And I'm so sorry to those who cannot make this trip! Those kinds of decisions are so hard to make.
Anybody get any great deals today? I worked all day and evening, so didn't get out at all. I LOVE Christmas bargains, especially when you can find them for 75 or 90% off!!
We had a really nice time with family. We went to the inlaws for Christmas eve and had yummy german food (MIL is German) Ham, Braut's, potato salad, german pretzels and lots more. Steve's dad is so sick and really tired from his chemo, and now has an ulcer. He just looks awful and is losing weight. All I can think about is this being our last Christmas w/ him and it makes me sad. We are trying to make lots of extra time to do stuff over there, but its hard since he feels so crappy!!
Christmas morning was fun, but a bit different since Jordan wasn't there. This was their first Christmas together so we saw them later that morning at my sisters and then they came over Christmas evening for dinner and opening gifts. The kids really missed not having him there first thing in the morning for stockings and santa gifts. I keep thinking about my neighbor boys who are in the army and don't get to come home at all, so having to wait a few hours is nothing compared to that!
We had brunch at my sisters and our fun annual gift exchange. It was fun to be with everybody. Then we came home to clean up and get ready for the newleyweds to come play. It was a big Nerf Christmas for us....which is always a complete blast. We also got some new Wii games, including TSM...which is a blast!! I got lots of Disney dollars and gift cards to my scrapbook store, Coffee Bean and a few others. It's always over so fast and today I'm just exhausted and heading to bed. I'm off tomorrow and it is Parker's 17th birthday. We will go out for lunch and probably mini golf or Dave & Buster's arcade. It's tough pulling off a party 2 days after Christmas, so we usually do his party around Super Bowl weekend.
oh, did I mention I officially LOVE, LOVE, LOVE my new Disney Dooney & Bourke!!
Hugs to you all!
Thank you to those who made ressie's today! You rock :)
Enjoy the rest of your weekend

We always have shrimp cocktail, roast beef, baked/mashed potatoes, and salad. We normally do New Year's Eve at home without our immediate family. It's nice to just sit, eat and watch movies together.

We went to the Northridge mall to return some things and ate yummy Mediterranean food.

For Christmas I got $100 which I'm going to save for February. I can't believe we're 60 days out from our meet! :woohoo:I've already started buying stuff for my pillow case. I'm still not sure if I'm going buy my pillow case or have my dad sew me one out of whatever material I find. I wonder what the weather will be like.... I hate when it's hot because it's hot AND muggy. I hope it's a bit on the chilly side.

Have a great Sunday! :cutie:
Peace, Love, &

Hello from Lake Lugano. DH has given me the morning off to do whatever I want, so I have some time to surf the Internet. We are in the Italian part of Switzerland staying in a very fancy hotel and it is very beautiful. The hotel is called Splendide Royal and is right on the lake. Not exactly appropriate for my young kids, but the hotel is pretty empty since it is off season, so I think it is alright. I get to make all plans for the day since it is my birthday and just doing nothing seems awfully nice after all this travel.

Christmas in Interlaken was very nice. We had dinner at the hotel and the kids bought us presents (I got some baby Johnson shampoo and John got some women's socks from Max--his first venture shopping by himself ) I did bring larger gifts and stockings for the kids and they were thrilled that Santa found them in Switzerland.

We have had a very special Christmas and my kids have been so happy to have the family here. It has been very lovely.

Sounds like Christmas was good to most this year - so glad to hear. And hope those who are/were sick are feeling better.

Take care and enjoy the rest of the holidays.

Good morning all and happy Sunday!

First of all Cheryl I am so sorry you got sick! That really stinks! I hope you are feeling better today!!

Amy I hope your pup is ok. My parents used to have a schnauzer and he ate some turkey grease/fat one year and ended up in the vets with liver failure or some such thing. I guess there is something in it that is really bad for little dogs. I am sure you know what I am talking about but he almost died. Scary, you wouldn't think "food" could be so hurtful to an animal but I guess that is why they say just feed them their pet food. :)

Thank you so much to all the divas that called in for the ps. I called to make one for mom and I and my aunt for Sat night because she wants to go to Hook's point for her b-day. I had to wait forever as well but I got the time we wanted and I ordered her a cake. I am going to have LOTS leftover cuz the smallest one they can make now is 10 inches and NO figures or anything anymore! I have ordered 2 special cakes from Disney in the past and this really stinks! Basically it is just a cake now like you can get at the store. :( Oh well I think she will be surprised none the less. I think maybe we should have some kind of meet for drinks or something though cuz I am going to have a LOT of cake leftover so if anyone wants to share it would be GREAT! We are eating at DL hotel so maybe if some of you are interested we could meet for drinks at the bar there or something and have some cake! I know mom would love it.

Anyway I ventured out yesterday and DID get the wrapping paper, labels etc for next year but EVERYTHING else I wanted to find was not available :( I wanted to get Katy one of those recorable storybooks as she REALLY wanted one and they are gone. Plus we watched that hallmark movie a dog named christmas and it is all gone. So then we went to penneys so I could use my gift card and NO slippers either. They had a few but not like what I wanted! I did get another sauce pan at Target. Mom got it for me cuz she felt bad she bought the wrong one.

I looked for the boots but the only ones they even HAD in my size were not what I wanted so I will keep looking.

Then we came home and Shane and I and the girls did our running. It was a madhouse. We stopped at verizon and I had to wait on a list just to be helped which was dumb cuz all I needed to know was if the case would work for my phone. The good news is they are going to take the other case back since it was barely used!! So at least I didn't waste the money for that!

Anyway then we just came home and vegged. We aren't taking our stuff down till after new years. That is our tradition.

We had hoped to run out to the dollar movies today but I don't know now if we are going to do that cuz it is raining and really ugly out! I have to go feed mom's cats and we have to go to the grocery store but otherwise not much else on the plate.

Tomorrow we are going to go BACK to the phone stores so I can return my case and Shane can pay his bill and then I am hoping to make a run to goodwill with all the stuff I cleaned out from the girls play room. Then Tues I will prob work cuz mom won't be there tomorrow. Don't know yet about wed but then Thurs night we will go to mom's and we usually just have a nice dinner and then I get a small cake for Katy and she opens her gifts from us since that is her actual birthday. Then Fri I don't know yet WHAT we are doing but most likely just hanging out at mom and dad's and watching football and Sat is Katy's party. I know that 3 kids are coming for sure but the rest I don't know. It won't be huge but since we are doing a movie it is prob for the best cuz the more people the harder it will be to get seats etc. We are going to see Alvin and the Chipmunks. I tried to order Katy a Twilight cake but they didn't have any which I thought was REALLY weird so she got Hannah Montana instead. :)

So busy next few days in store but hopefully fun too. I just wish shane wasn't out of work. It makes it really stressful cuz I don't want to spend ANY money and I kind of have to with Katy's birthday and all. He made his claim online with unemployment so HOPEFULLY we will get a check soon!

Anyway that's bout it for me. I hope everyone has a fabulous rest of your weekend and has some fun plans for the rest of the christmas break!!

P.S. Jen I am glad you had a nice holiday! It sounded wonderful! Also Capri I am so happy for you! You guys so deserved it! And to everyone else glad you had a nice holiday!!

Thank you. Sounds like you had better luck than I did.

I woke up a bit before 7:00 and called right on the dot. Got through with no waiting only to be told they will not book large parties at Cafe Orleans. :scared1:

They recently changed their large group policy after being burned too many times by other large groups. Not sure what that means, perhaps others booked and didn't show up. The largest party they will book now is a table of 6, same as CC.

I told them we were a returning group who'd booked there before with close to 20 so the lead CM I spoke with, Gary who was really nice, said he'd put a request in to the managers and see what they say. He wasn't too optimistic sounding, but he said you never know, they might make an exception.

It can take up to a week to hear back from the managers, so we might still be waiting awhile. By then, it might be too busy to book a large group. And he did say that even if they make an exception, they might require a deposit, which frankly being right after Christmas I cannot afford to pay, and he said they might require we order off a set menu.

Soooooo, there ya have it. For now, I will just wait to see what the manager says I guess. Why does it have to be so complicated?? :headache:

Anyway, just letting y'all know where we stand. Maybe we should start thinking of plan B, just in case. Oh, and if we are able to book this, everyone better show up!! LOL I don't want to book it and then have people not show which is the problem they were having already.

What? Disney getting stingy?? Imagine that...... :rolleyes1
Just kidding. Sorry, I am just grumpy because they were being difficult this morning and after only a few hours of sleep waking up early was the last thing I wanted to do this morning. I am sure the cake will be nice, and as you said your mom will still be surprised no matter what. Hey, cake is still cake and still yummy, right?? ;)

Thanks, Theresa! We ate there a couple of weeks ago and sat right by the stage and it was so much fun. Bryan is a huge jazz fan (his camp name is Satchmo) and we had such a nice meal. This will be fun! And thanks to all who made PS for Carnation, and everyone else making them. For me it is a nice break since I am always the one planning every move on our family trips (as I am sure you all do as well).

We had a very nice Christmas and spent too much money as usual, but it is so fun to see the kids so surprised and happy with their gifts. Bryan's PS3 was more than we normally spend but he has been wanting it for a couple of years and wanted to wait until the price went down. Since we got it with 2 free games and a movie, and he was really hinting when he saw that advertised, we decided to go for it. His BIL also got one so they are able to play together online which is nice. Bryan and Mike went to the Blazer game Christmas night (3rd year in a row) so Rob and I went to see Sherlock Holmes. Definitely recommend that one. Last weekend I saw Christmas Carol and that was really good as well. I almost hate to throw our tree out since it is still so nice and fresh, but will probably take it down Wednesday night so I can get it out for recycling on trash day.

Have a great Sunday! I'm off to get ready for church.

OKay, thank you to all who booked tables at CC. We now have those reservations complete and need to break off into groups at the reserved times.
If your name is on the list below, I need you to let me know which time slot and/or table you would like to be seated at. Thank you!! (First come, first served. Or in this case, first posted, first assigned. lol)

Beth, do you want some of us to call today and make separate PS for groups of 6?
I thought about that, but then we will end up all staggered again like at CC. I think we can keep that as an option, but I'd really like to give the manager a chance to get back to me and see if we can't all be seated together. I may even beg!!! :rotfl:
But let's give him or her a day or two and see if we hear back. They were good about it last time, and if I let them know they'd have 43 unhappy guests on their hands, they might work with us.

Thanks for the offer though, and I may still take you up on it. :thumbsup2

Thanks Steph. Like I said, I'm torn on what to do, but I'd really like one meal where we are all together at the same time. Maybe we can hold off just for a bit and see if they will get back to me. :confused3

I've got something in the oven, baking apple dumplings to go with breakfast. I'll be back..........
