Good morning girls!

It has been a busy couple of days for the boys and I. Cookie baking, snow day, last day of school, and I am trying to decide if I should buy Jordan and iPod for Christmas.

Do you guys remember me telling you about buying presents for a friend of ours? Well let me tell you, they were so happy that we did that for their kids.
On Tuesday I was getting my hair cut & colored and Amber (she helped with the gifts) was a late (she is always late but she brings me Starbucks if she is going to be late) and she came in a crying mess. I was like what is wrong with you? Her landlord had just called and told her she only needed to send HALF of her rent for that month & Merry Christmas. She was so happy, I guess in the winter months the hair business isn't as busy as the spring & summer.

Today I was checking my bank and I have a deposit from my work. Which is really odd, I haven't worked since before Thanksgiving. I guess a few co-workers donated some PTO to me.

Jill~ that is a cute bag
Kel~ sorry about that trip. I hope Shane finds work soon
Beth~ Have a great time with your family.
Cheryl~ Spill the beans!
Sarah~ 8 years!! That's great!
Jane~ Have a great time
Court~ We went to Chinese last night & home and watched movies

Have a great day ladies

Some random Saturday morning thoughts:

Kelly - I'm so sorry to hear about Shane's job. I'm sure that is just one more huge stressor on your marriage that neither of you need right now. I hope you two find a way to weather it together. I'm sad you and your mom won't be coming. I didn't get to spend much time with you both last year and was hoping to get to this time.

Lots of seagulls roaming around my yard this morning . . . I like the dark grey ones best.

Cristabel - enjoy being at home in your comfy bed with your cute puppy dog! :goodvibes

wonder what I should make for breakfast. . . maybe one-eye'd Jacks with my dad's farm fresh eggs! pirate:

Katie - sorry about all the extra driving, but it sounds like your son is a sports star, so I know you are investing the time in something so worthwhile for him. Bummer about your wallet. What a pain to replace all the cards & license.

. . . I wonder how far north we will have to drive to find snow on Christmas weekend?? . . .

Jill- congratulations on your new bag! It's cute for sure! I have a few Disney bags/purses, but couldn't bring myself to get one of the D&B ones because they just aren't comfortable for me to wear or carry. I know you're tall, like me . . . do you find them comfortable?

We rented Toy Story Mania for the Wii last night. I'm so sore this morning! Guess that just shows how out of shape I really am. Maybe I better start using that Wii Fit that I just "had to have" last year and is all dusty in the corner of our entertainment unit.

This is the first winter I have ever had eczema on my hands. It's just in a couple bad patches, but I can't get rid of it. Anyone else suffer with this that can give me some advice?

We're going to see the Nutcracker today in Langley. Other than that, just gonna be lazy. Hope you all enjoy your last weekend before Christmas. :goodvibes

sorry about the wallet...that stinks! Where did they steal it from? I'm glad they waive the replacement fee's!

It was my own stupid fault. It was stollen at Marshall's. I have a purse that zips at the top, but I never zip it. My purse was on the top of the baby's stroller & while I was looking through the rakes, someone snatched the wallet & of course I didn't notice until I went to check out. I was just thankful they didn't take the whole purse, because then I wouldn't of had the keys to my car :scared1:.

I love how you seperated your comments with random thoughts .

Yes my son is a sports playing fool. I'll have a month free from when wrestling ends until track practice starts :scared:. I'm looking forward to March (my free month) :thumbsup2. He wanted to do swimming until he found out they only let you wear speedos .

Both my daughters have Eczema and I've find Aquaphor from Eucerin works really well. Also Aveeno has a soothing moisture cream for eczema that works well and is a little less greasy. Hope this helps you out :thumbsup2.

Here it is! I was happy with their choice of placement too. That was hard to let somebody else do, but since I had no trips planned until next summer to WDW, it was the only way I could get it! Looove it!!! I told dh he better get it wrapped tomorrow, or I may have to see how all my stuff fits in it next...LOL

My bag looks almost exactly the same!:thumbsup2 I have been using it for over a month now and love it.:woohoo:

Jill- congratulations on your new bag! It's cute for sure! I have a few Disney bags/purses, but couldn't bring myself to get one of the D&B ones because they just aren't comfortable for me to wear or carry. I know you're tall, like me . . . do you find them comfortable?

Callie, I am also tall and do wish the straps on the tote were a little longer. But, I love the tote so much I just deal with it. I had been looking for a while for a disney purse that I liked but never could find anything until I saw this one! I fell in love instantly! It is the perfect size for me - just wish the straps were a tad longer.

Kelly - sorry about Shane's job situation. This economy sucks!:sad2:

I had other comments to make but my mind just went blank!
Need to finish shopping today. Got to head to Wal-Mart - on the Saturday before Christmas!

And we are really excited for Mary Poppins in LA!:yay:

Have fun! I can't wait either! We are taking the kids on NYE - the tickets are part of their Christmas and I think they'll be really surprised. Last year we got Wicked tickets for the family but they knew we were getting those but this year's tickets should be a surprise! I'm only sad that my DD can't join us because she's not coming here for her winter break...it's her dad's turn.:guilty: I guess I have to share.:sad2:

Thank you for posting the picture. The pattern is perfect that is what I am looking for! I can't wait to go shopping for it! You have such will power I would never be able to wait until Christmas now after opening it, touching it...:rolleyes1

I'm working. Fun fun. But tomorrow I get to go see White Christmas at the 5th Avenue Theater in Seattle and stay overnight at a nice hotel down there (my 8th wedding anniversary is Tuesday.) Shopping will be happening.

Later,
Sarah

Congratulations on your wedding anniversary! Have a great time with some alone time!

Well it doesn't look like I am going to be going in Feb :(. Shane didn't work today and they had the nerve to call them in for a Christmas breakfast and then tell them there won't be any work for 6 months or longer so he will probably be laid off for that long. So between that and everything else going on it's not going to happen. I am still going to come on and talk to you guys obviously but I won't be able to make it.

Kelly - I am so sorry about Shane's job and what a horrible time of year to drop the news to them. I hope things will turn around for you sometime soon!

Hi to everyone! We finished Christmas shopping last night. I've wrapped most of it this morning. Today we are cleaning the carpets...my parents are supposed to be here on Wed. but my grandmother who is 92yo fell and broke her shoulder and her leg so my dad is dealing with that and we'll have to see if they are able to make it or decide to stay and help with my grandma. I am torn because I really want them to come but then I know that my grandma may need them there too. My dad's sister lives there too so she can help but then she'd be taking care of everything alone.

Tonight we are going to the Melting Pot for my work 'Christmas Party...just Mr. CA and me...it'll be fun!

Tomorrow we have a Christmas party in Wrightwood and I guess I'll have to get my new Ugg type know boots broken with some snow. :upsidedow

I hope everyone has a great weekend! Hugs to all:grouphug:

Good news. My aunt in sd finally got back to me and wants to come. I told her bout shanes job and she said she wanted to help and mom doesn't want to cancel either so we may be going afterall. I may have to scale back on some stuff but hopefully well be there. Anyway my aunts name is barbara and you will love her!

Captain EO returns to Disneyland in Feb.
Hope it's at the beginning of Feb.
Any fans?
I'm a fan of the Captain EO show. Not so much MJ.

Ok Divas--sorry to be so mysterious. But I have to be. (I know that's just making it worse.) I'm not sure that I will get the opportunity to be a "wild child" -- speculation is high.
Oh you tease!!!

I'm working. Fun fun. But tomorrow I get to go see White Christmas at the 5th Avenue Theater in Seattle and stay overnight at a nice hotel down there (my 8th wedding anniversary is Tuesday.) Shopping will be happening.
How fun, enjoy it!

And we are really excited for Mary Poppins in LA!:yay:
A friend of mine saw that and loved it. :thumbsup2

It's a weird thing, I cannot recommend this film because it is so poorly directed. However there are two award-worthy performances in it. They're getting noms and will win some. But this film needed better story-crafting and a more sensitive touch with the directing, so the pain of her life wasn't shoved in your face over and over.
I'd heard that about it. Just so in your face with the obvious pain and such.

Here it is! I was happy with their choice of placement too.
Nice!!

Beth- Enjoy your fun with the family this weekend! Did you enjoy the movie last night?
Yes, it was cute. And the girls loved the Princess and the Frog movie. Dinner was good to. My SIL took us out to Red Robin. All nine of us! It's not fancy, but gosh, I love their food!! :rotfl:

I don't think I mentioned it before, but my wallet was stolen a couple weeks ago. I ended up filing a police report which was good, because now I don't have to pay $60 to get my AP's replaced.
 Sorry about the wallet. Been there, and it's not fun. Glad it worked out with the APs.

Today I was checking my bank and I have a deposit from my work. Which is really odd, I haven't worked since before Thanksgiving. I guess a few co-workers donated some PTO to me.
Awww, how nice. :goodvibes

We're going to see the Nutcracker today in Langley. Other than that, just gonna be lazy. Hope you all enjoy your last weekend before Christmas. :goodvibes
Have fun!!! :goodvibes

Tonight we are going to the Melting Pot for my work 'Christmas Party...just Mr. CA and me...it'll be fun!
Enjoy!! What do you order there?? We have one less than five minutes from my house and we've never been because I don't know what it ir or what to order.

Good news. My aunt in sd finally got back to me and wants to come. I told her bout shanes job and she said she wanted to help and mom doesn't want to cancel either so we may be going afterall. I may have to scale back on some stuff but hopefully well be there. Anyway my aunts name is barbara and you will love her!
Oh that's great. I got your PM and will add her to those things you asked. :thumbsup2

Whew! Okay, I am all caught up. Just wanted to pop in and say hello. Hope y'all are having a good weekend.

Last night was so fun with Ruben's family. Today we are going shopping. Not me, but my SIL needs to go so I'm tagging along. Tonight we are going to dinner and the Winter Lights Festival. Should be fun.

Have a great day everyone. See ya later!

We're going to see the Nutcracker today in Langley. Other than that, just gonna be lazy. Hope you all enjoy your last weekend before Christmas. :goodvibes

You're coming up to Canada?? Langley is right by where I live :thumbsup2 (BTW - the weather forecast right now is snow/rain for Christmas day....)

Tonight we are going to the Melting Pot for my work 'Christmas Party...just Mr. CA and me...it'll be fun!

That sounds fun! That is one thing I miss about working at home - my office parties suck :lmao: I should plan something fun instead of missing the Christmas lunches and stuff - good idea :thumbsup2

Kelly - sorry to hear about Shane's job - that stinks...

Happy Saturday awesome Divas!! This is the last shopping weekend before Christmas....... Are you ready???? (I am not....)

I FINALLY figured out who the other star was we saw in World of Disney in October. His name is Breckin Meyer and he played in Ghosts of Girlfriends past and Kate and Leopold and some other stuff. We just watched it on dvd and I was like THAT'S who it is. Anyway just saying LOL cuz it has been bugging me ever since the trip! He's gay by the way. Just FYI he was there with his SO!

Hola girls!

Today I'm just going to be lazy. My parents are going to my Dad's work's Christmas party tonight, as for me maybe Jesus and I will go grab some dinner.

Let's see if I can remember what's going on here.

Kelly - I'm sorry about Shane's job. I really hope you and your momma get to come with your aunt next year. We really want you to come! That's really sweet of your aunt to offer that.

Deb - That's so thoughtful of your co-workers to give you some of their PTO. How nice! Chinese and movies sounds fun!

Jill - That is an adorable bag. I'm surprised they're not completely sold out yet!

Katie - Good for your son! I hope his wrestling season goes well. I was the same way in high school, sports all year round and the only break I got (and my parents!) were the month that was mandatory to take off in the summer. I did volleyball, basketball and track.

Callie - My Mom is making sasuage, toast (with apricot preserves!), and scrambled eggs for breakfast. We call one eyed Jacks at our house one eyed monsters!

Beth -I'm glad you're having a great time with Ruben's familia! Have fun tagging along shopping!

Theresa - I still need to finish some shopping. I'm going to get my Uncle and my Mom a gift card Monday after work, I need to get DBF and my Dad some shirts and I think I'm done? Oh and DBF and I need to get our God daughter something and his brothers. Ahh!!

Vicki - I'm sorry about your grandma. I hope she's okay. :( Do you have a Melting Pot near you or are you going to the one in Thousand Oaks? That's the one closest to me and it's sooo good!!! I hope you and Bob have a good time!!

I just got back from Petco's free puppy socialization class. It was okay but it could have been a lot better. Other than Osita there were a bull mastiff, doberman/boxer mix, and a shih tzu/beagle mix. The other three were having a blast, playing, and rough housing. Jingles on the other hand, sniffed them all but did NOT want to play. When the doberman/boxer pup tried to play with her she snarled and growled a bit. The lady said it was normal because they are all trying to figure out their pecking order. For once I wish we could have a dog who knew how to be a dog!

I'm going to take her to the $10 clicker training class in two weeks and another free puppy socialization in January.

Oh and she's found her voice  She's outside barking up a storm in her high chihuahua pitch. My parents think it's funny because Osita's bark was a DEEP baying bark.

Ok--out of order quotes, but here goes:

I don't think I mentioned it before, but my wallet was stolen a couple weeks ago. I ended up filing a police report which was good, because now I don't have to pay $60 to get my AP's replaced.

Well, I hope everyone has a great day .
When it rains it pours--doesn't it? At least you don't have to pay to replace the APs.

wonder what I should make for breakfast. . . maybe one-eye'd Jacks with my dad's farm fresh eggs! pirate:
I don't know what a one-eyed Jack is?????

Tonight we are going to the Melting Pot for my work 'Christmas Party...just Mr. CA and me...it'll be fun!
I LOVE the Melting Pot! Dawn and my Mom and I went there in September--sigh.

Oh that rascal, Bella! Is she very sociable with other dogs or does she "run alone" We should get together sometime and let the dogs have a playdate. That way they will wear each other out.

You're going to do all your shopping in one day. Wow :worship: that is quite the challenge. Good luck!

Bella is VERY friendly with other dogs--almost too much so! She LOVES all other animals and doesn't know her own strength (hence the "pummeling" of the cat--who really wants to play but she is too rough!)

Cheryl, you are such a busy diva! I miss you and we MUST get together before the Feb trip. I miss Doris, too and want to give her a hug and have her tell me a funny story right now. :goodvibes
Oh I miss you too! I hope things are going ok. I've been thinking of Dawn and Sally and Bob all weekend.

Ok--I ALMOST got all my shopping done. I still need one little extra thing for a friend's son (what do you get a 13 year old who has no interest in anything and is not that athletic (he has a neurological condition)? I also need to re-group and make sure that I have everything I need and then get started wrapping.

I was somewhat annoyed at Off-Broadway Shoes--I had gone there to buy some Converse shoes--kid's size 3--that Brandy told me were there. So I can't find them and I ask a salesclerk where the kids' shoes are. "We don't sell kids' shoes." she tells me. Ok, so I'm walking out of the store and see this big sign and display saying "We now sell Converse All-Stars in Kids' Sizes 1-2-3" What? Anyway, the good news is that I found what I needed so it wasn't a wasted trip (no thanks to the salesclerk!)

I also need to go to a bookstore to buy an Artist's magazine because I'm giving my Mom a subscription. and a watch which I got at Target today--we have a strict "limit" on gifts this year.

Speaking of which=--two of my girlfriends and I agreed we would NOT get each other gifts this year--we all have too much junk. We could buy for the kids (I love buying and wrapping for kids!) So, yesterday I get a lovely family picture Christmas card from one of the two friends--and inside is a gift card for Williams-Sonoma!!! What??????? Aaaarrrrrrrggggghhhhhh. So luckily I found a really cute plate with sunflowers on it today--and then I bought Sunflower oil and Sunflower granola. LOL--she loves sunflowers so it's going to be a "themed" gift. Can anyone think of anything else sunflower-y? I guess sunflower seeds--anything else?

Ok--off to try to nap and then have to clean (or at least pick up) the house and unload the car. I have friends coming tomorrow to bake cookies so I probably need to make some dough tonight--plus I'm makeing a pasta casserole for dinner tomorrow night (with turkey meatballs).

Happy Saturday Divas!

OH MY! My first thought when I saw how much those bags were was Who in the heck would pay that much for a stupid bag?! I'm not into designer stuff so I don't keep up with it. But then I saw your picture and I WANT ONE!!!!! DD says Isn't your birthday coming up next month?? Hmmm, good gift idea for myself. Although what I really want is the two Electrical Light Parade miniatures in the Disney Gallery... Decisions, Decisions...

Good morning ladies!!

My computer cord died Thursday night so I was without a computer almost all Friday. I was having major DIS withdrawls.

What kind of cord? We have TONS of cords around here, I would think one of them would work...

Some random Saturday morning thoughts:

We rented Toy Story Mania for the Wii last night. I'm so sore this morning! Guess that just shows how out of shape I really am. Maybe I better start using that Wii Fit that I just "had to have" last year and is all dusty in the corner of our entertainment unit.

This is the first winter I have ever had eczema on my hands. It's just in a couple bad patches, but I can't get rid of it. Anyone else suffer with this that can give me some advice?

Yup, pretty random. But I know what you mean about the Wii TSMM... my arms were KILLING me after playing it, oh for a few hours!!!

I sometimes get that on my hands and the doctor prescribed a cream, it's called Betamethasone Dipropionate USP, 0.05%; I think it was a $4 prescription... After a couple of days, it's pretty much gone.

Mary Poppins will be here in Phoenix in February and Heather and I are going the day before we leave for our Girls' Trip... great timing!!

Just went and saw The Blind Side... AWESOME movie! If you get a chance, go see it. And bring kleenex!!

Off to a Christmas party, hope everyone has a great night!! :santa:

Just a drive by Hi!

Thank you for all of the birthday wishes. :goodvibes

I had a great trip to DL. My Christmas spirit has arrived. ;) The weather was perfect. Thursday the park was pretty empty (didn't seem too bad). Cristabel and I were able to have complete sets of FPs for each of us and Stacie.
Yesterday was a bit more crowded but thanks to the knowledge of FP I was able to have doubles of each of the ones I wanted to go on twice (HM and Space) early on. By 130 ish the FP return time for Space was 6pm-7pm.

I did a couple of things I had never done before. I went on Star Tours and enjoyed it. :) And yesterday afternoon I went to Gibson Girl for ice cream (I don't know how I could have not gone there sooner). I took my ice cream and sat on a bench on Main St and people watched. I couldn't have had nicer weather.

This trip has me wanting to take my whole family to DL next Christmas. I mentioned it to Josh and he seemed okay with it. :cool1:

Vicki - I'm sorry about your grandma. I hope she's okay. :( Do you have a Melting Pot near you or are you going to the one in Thousand Oaks? That's the one closest to me and it's sooo good!!! I hope you and Bob have a good time!!

Yes, we are going to the one in Thousand Oaks. It will be fun and since my company gave each of us who work remotely money to spend to go out to dinner I thought the Melting Pot would be perfect!

I LOVE the Melting Pot! Dawn and my Mom and I went there in September--sigh.

Happy Saturday Divas!

I love the Melting Pot too! I used to go to one in Littleton and it was in an old train station. I always had a great time whenever we went. I took Whitney and friends for her 16 BD and when Bob and the kids were visiting me when I lived in Denver still we took them there too. I am looking forward to eating there tonight!

I remember you talking about eating there with Dawn. I'm glad you have that memory.

Have fun cookie baking!

Hi All - I've been trying to keep up with everyone's postings, but definately haven't had time to post.

Couple things I remember over the past couple days of reading...

Am excited about the t-shirt designs - thanks for the cut out lines!

Beth - Sorry to hear things are not going well now, but love your bright attitude. Is very inspriring.

Kelly - I hope you can work it out to come! It was fun meeting you last year.

Speaking of which=--two of my girlfriends and I agreed we would NOT get each other gifts this year--we all have too much junk. We could buy for the kids (I love buying and wrapping for kids!) What about chocolate covered sunflower seeds? They're pretty tasty too!

Yes, we are going to the one in Thousand Oaks. It will be fun and since my company gave each of us who work remotely money to spend to go out to dinner I thought the Melting Pot would be perfect!

I didn't even know there was a melting pot in Thousand Oaks!! That is WAY closer to me than the one in Santa Barbara. Will have to convince my DH to take me there sometime soon (I've never been, but heard good things about it).

We're just having a lazy Saturday today. We watched Ratatouille this morning, rented a couple movies, went on a quick grocery run for our weekly groceries, walked our dog, and are going to watch Star Trek tonight. We're taking our dog to a dog park in TO tomorrow, then to the groomers. Other than that, we don't have any plans and don't have to work over the weekend for once!

What kind of cord? We have TONS of cords around here, I would think one of them would work...

It's the power cord for a Mac Powerbook. My desktop computer got a virus back in April or May & I haven't had the time or money to get it fixed. We've just been using the laptop for the past few months & the cord I think is getting worn out.

Yes, I have notice D & B's tend to have smaller handles. I have not unwrapped this one to test out....but its so cute, I'll make due...LOL

"Santa" is bring Wii TSM...I can't wait to try it. Like you...I should dust off my WiiFit and get in shape ;)

My bag looks almost exactly the same!:thumbsup2 I have been using it for over a month now and love it.:woohoo:

I love the Melting Pot...fun with a group too!

Happy Saturday Divas!
maybe a puzzle or game? Luckily Parker LOVES everything...sports, games, puzzles. Just a thought...

Good morning and happy sunday!

Cheryl I agree with Jill or I know people don't always like to give gift certs but I know at least my kids LOVE to get these. Maybe one to Barnes and Noble or to Target. That way he can get some books or CDS. The girls love them but esp Lynn. That way she can have the freedom to shop and get whatever she wants. Just a thought.

Steph I am so glad you had fun on your birthday trip and were able to share time with Cristbel.

Everyone must be busy doing holiday stuff. Not much activity yesterday. I ended up NOT going to the soccer game cuz I got a nasty headache but Shane said the girls did well but ended up losing 3-5. I am glad I didn't try to go though cuz it is in a big warehouse that is REALLY cold and has this bleacher type seating with no backs on the seats and that would NOT have been good for my back.

I am still SO excited that between my mom and my aunt we are going to be able to come. I do admit I feel guilty taking money and even going if Shane is going to be out of work. I don't even feel right about going at all BUT my mom said she REALLY wants to go and says we "need" this and she is right. Plus now that my aunt is going I think it would be really fun. She will arrive on Thurs sometime and leave Sat. The three of us are going to go have a nice dinner at Hook's Point to celebrate mom's birthday Saturday night and then Barbara is going to go home. If anyone is interested in joining us you are more than welcome. I think I am going to try and order a cake from vacation planning. I will have to charge it but I want to do SOMETHING for her because it is a big birthday. She is turning 65!

You guys are going to love Barb she is the sweetest lady and so much fun and she is really excited to be coming!

The other good news is that Shane and I have had some LONG talks and he is no longer going through with the paperwork. He knew how much it upset me and I told him there was no reason to make it formal. We could still divide things up if he felt the need but this way "I" am protected and don't lose everything and if down the road it goes bad again he can always re-file but you can't say you want to work on things and then file. So hopefully things stay on an even keel and him being out of work indef does make things worse! I was just REALLY upset knowing that any day now ESP with the holidays coming that I was going to get served divorce papers on top of EVERYTHING else and it kind of went against the theory that we were trying to work things out. So we shall see.

Anyway we are going to church today and then shane is going to that side job. He never went to any yesterday. And then tonight we are going to mom's to help them with their tree.

That's bout it for me. Hope everyone has a GREAT day and rest of your weekend!!
