Not a fan--but want to see it just for the novelty.

I am Christmas shopping tonight and tomorrow--then Sunday having friends over to make cookies. I need something that I can cook for dinner while cookies are baking--I was thinking stew--but my friend can't eat meat. Ideas?

Monday lunch with friends, Tuesday dinner with friends then nothing on Wed. Thursday Christmas Eve with Mom and friends and Friday down to Carlsbad at my cousin's. Next week is going to be busy--somewhere i have to find time to wrap gifts.

Ok Divas--sorry to be so mysterious. But I have to be. (I know that's just making it worse.) I'm not sure that I will get the opportunity to be a "wild child" -- speculation is high.

I'm home! and my mom and a church friend are cooking dinner and baking dessert. I was met at the door with tons of puppy kisses

It took me easily three hours to get home and it wasn't even raining!

I hope everyone is having a great Friday and has a nice weekend! Tomorrow, Jingles and I are attending a free puppy socialization class at Petco.

Well it doesn't look like I am going to be going in Feb . Shane didn't work today and they had the nerve to call them in for a Christmas breakfast and then tell them there won't be any work for 6 months or longer so he will probably be laid off for that long. So between that and everything else going on it's not going to happen. I am still going to come on and talk to you guys obviously but I won't be able to make it.

I hate our economy. I hope he finds work soon. some "Merry Christmas" from his employer!

Oh that rascal, Bella! Is she very sociable with other dogs or does she "run alone" We should get together sometime and let the dogs have a playdate. That way they will wear each other out.

It's a weird thing, I cannot recommend this film because it is so poorly directed. However there are two award-worthy performances in it. They're getting noms and will win some. But this film needed better story-crafting and a more sensitive touch with the directing, so the pain of her life wasn't shoved in your face over and over.

Okay, gotta do some more Christmas cards...

Yay for packages on your doorstep! Did you get the tote or the tassel purse? I am leaning toward the tote. I thought about ordering one but I want to make sure it has Disneyland and WDW on it and since I'll be in WDW in Feb. I'll pick it out myself to make sure it has the pattern I want. I think since I have a left over GC from work last year I might get the wristlet too.

I saw a picture of the black one and I don't like it as much. So I still have my sights on the white tote! Enjoy and I should have mine for the Divas trip.



Thanks for sharing this...I can't wait to get my hands on one! I was thinking about the tassel bag but I already have one, not the Disney one but a black one with colorful D&B's so I am going to get the tote. The tote isn't too big to use as a purse, is it? I wish they would come out with wallets/change purses.



That is my favorite fireworks viewing area too especially during the holidays. What special memories you will have of that day... With my DD off to college it is memories like those that come back to me often and make me both smile and shed a tear or two but well worth it.

The tote is definitely not too big. I have purses larger then it. oh I just love it. Snuck it out of the box & bag and took a few pic's of it....dh just rolled his eyes I'll post them in a few minutes!!

Got alot done today...I have a ton of wrapping to do. We used the $2,000 from the gold selling and bought our new dining room table/chairs and a love seat & couch. They will be delivered Sunday! YAY, I'm so excited. The dining room set is one of the counter height tables & stool type chairs...I just love those. We'd had our table for 15 years, and it wasn't new when we got it, so I'm super excited to have something brand new finally! It has that cool fold in table leaf and 6 chairs!!

Here it is! I was happy with their choice of placement too. That was hard to let somebody else do, but since I had no trips planned until next summer to WDW, it was the only way I could get it! Good morning ladies!!

My computer cord died Thursday night so I was without a computer almost all Friday. I was having major DIS withdrawls.

My son was tinkering with it last night and got it work. I hope it lasts awhile until I can get a replacement. I just wanted to post & check what was new just in case it dies again.

Well, I thought my days of chauffering my son around for sports was done for awhile, but I was wrong. The wrestling coach still wanted him eventhough he missed the first month of practice because of football. So now over Christmas break I have to drive him back & forth for practice everday except for Christmas, New Years & Sundays!!!

I told my son he has to miss at least one day so we can go to Disneyland. I need to get our AP's replaced & I want to see the Christmas decorations one more time.

I don't think I mentioned it before, but my wallet was stolen a couple weeks ago. I ended up filing a police report which was good, because now I don't have to pay $60 to get my AP's replaced.

Thank you all! I really appreciate the sentiments and it makes me feel really good to know that you guys will miss mom and I. I just don't see it happening though. Being that he is in construction winter is always hard for us anyway as he usually gets laid off "some" but his shop has just NOT been getting that much work and first they did this pay cut to them and now they are just closing up shop. I guess when the office workers heard yesterday they went ballistic because apparently they lay off the tile guys all the time but they have never had to lay off the office staff before. And I TOTALLY agree, a week before Christmas is LAME! Talk about ruining people's holiday. It makes people afraid to spend ANY money at all. I know we had to go drop 250 bucks for our bi-monthly sam's club run and that was JUST getting the bare minimum, food, dog food etc. We did switch our cable last night though. Comcast raised our rates AGAIN to 90 bucks a month and that is JUST for tv. I have basic with NO movie channels or anything so last night Direct TV was there and for Sam's club members they were offering a deal that we could get 3 boxes for our house WITH the dvr for 60 bucks a month. Honestly if they still had regular tv I would just use an antennae cuz I only watch the networks anyway but Shane and the girls watch a lot of cable stuff (sports and Disney, Nickelodean stuff like that). But at least by doing that we will save 30 bucks a month!

Anyway it looks like Shane will be filing for unemployment first thing monday after he gets done with his test. He is pretty sure he is going to fail again too with everything going on because although he has studied he said his mind is just not in it right now. I would LOVE it if something worked out but I can not condone going on a trip that would probably cost me 700 or 800 bucks when we are going to NEED that money to survive.

I am just glad I got to go last year and I will hope for the best that things look better next year. I am hoping after the holidays if things pick up a bit with the economy I am going to "try" and see about getting a job. I am a little nervous since I haven't really worked in 11 years. I dont' count what I do for my mom a real job. But ONE of us is going to have to have money coming in and what I make from my mom barely covers our rent. But anyway we will figure it out. This is nothing new, he's just never been off THAT long before. Hopefully things will change and he won't be off THAT long or he will somehow get his business off the ground but honestly I need to do something for myself cuz I don't know what is going to happen between "us" anyway. Things are still very shakey and it is def a day by day thing.

Then tomorrow we will hopefully go to church and then we are supposed to go to mom's although I don't know for sure if that is happening. We shall see.

I am going to run out to the post office today and mail my stuff for Stan (Capri). I bought a bunch of post cards from around the area since I haven't been able to take pics but I am going to try and get some pics at least with the girls this weekend and then I will get the whole thing mailed off. I just need to know where you want me to send him next.

Tough times, Kelly! So sorry. Sending good thoughts that he passes the test and that you can pick up a good job! Make sure you have some kind of credit in your name only, that he can't screw with. It makes me so nervous that he has all the control of your family stuff, and seems to go all crazy irrational at times
