I'm confused about stamps. Deb told me that to mail a card to Switzerland costs 0.98 cents. I have liberty bell forever stamps. Do I only need one or two? :confused3

The post office told that the Forever stamp was for the US only. You need an international stamp for Jen's card.

DIVAS YOU ARE AMAZING!!!

Merry Christmas Katie. Glad you didn't post a picture though!

It is hard on friendships when there are troubles. Sometimes it is easier to be a good friend online. When you are too close, the inclination is to try to solve everyone's problems for them. Of course that is not always possible, and that creates discomfort and then sometimes it is easier to distance yourself from those problems as a coping mechanism. Not making excuses, just saying it probably is not personal but rather human nature. You really do find out the depths of your friendships though when you have people that stay and just be there with you as you get through it.

Well I may be in trouble then! What's up with that? Postage should be postage and a forever stamp should be valued at todays postage rate. At least that's what made sense to me. So I put on two for Canada and 3 for Switzerland. Dang girls! Your cards may be delayed. Just posted them yesterday, so time will tell.

Heather: Love the picture of the baby girl. I have to say of all my regrets, not ever being pregnant again is one of them. I loved having my babies in my tummy. (getting them out, not so much though!)

Praying for those that need it. It is a hard time of year for losses and struggles and I hope that you will find strength to get through it.

And...still hoping for our Christimas trip to DL. We will leave in just two days...if we go. Waiting to see if hubby gets caught up with work issues. Probably going, but anything can happen, so trying not to get excited, but I am anyhow.

Morning and happy Tuesday!

Capri again many prayers for your dad! I hope that he is better now that he is in the hospital and under a doctor's care.

Katie again I am so happy for you and can't wait to hear how excited your kids will be now that they get to have some christmas!! :)

For my fellow cave women UNITE!! My feeling is why bother. As Cristbel said these god awful white eye blinding things don't see the light of day once it gets cold and even in bed I wear sweats or flannel pant pj's. So it is not like I am rubbing hairy legs against my dh although that is not an issue anymore anyway LOL. I HATE shaving my legs in the summer so I enjoy getting to take a break come winter time. And same goes for the bra. I like to be comfy and be it summer OR winter if I can get away without wearing one I do. To me those things drive me nuts. The straps cut into my ribs and shoulders and I just like to be comfortable. I don't wear shoes much either and when I DO it is either crocs or sandals. Don't wear makeup either. LOW maintenance that's me! :)

Anyway Shane got home from work last night and we ran over to the bank and opened up a jt acct so I could FINALLY have some money again and what a fiasco that was. He has a separate acct and so do I and now we have this joint one plus we still have our OLD jt acct that only has his vacation pay in it cuz it is direct deposited every month from his work and he had to leave it open for them to do that. So now we have like 4 different accounts. Plus his va money was set up to go into that acct and I tried all day yesterday to get a hold of them to change it but could never get through. I told the guy at the bank that I wanted the NEW jt acct, the OLD one and my sep acct linked so I could transfer money between them but he didn't do it right plus when I went online to try and set up my bill pay for the new acct it didn't work sooooo I have to call the bank this a.m. Hopefully I can get it all fixed though today cuz I have some bills to pay by Fri and Shane's truck reg is due. Anyway then we ran to sam's but the only micro's they had were REALLY bad. Most of the cheap ones were super tiny and would not have worked for us. So we ran to target and ended up spending more than we wanted but the only one that seemed half way decent and was "normal" size and not one of this mini ones was kind of expensive. Not TOO bad but more than 50 bucks which is all we wanted to spend. But so be it. Hopefully this will last!

Then we finally came home and Shane ended up NOT going to his side job cuz there was just too much going on.

Today I have a ton of laundry and house cleaning to do and then I have to call the bank and hopefully get THAT mess straightened out. Plus Lynn has now decided to move in with the friend she was staying with while my parents were in Mexico. I think this is a good idea. My parents were getting really tired of hauling her around everywhere and having to deal with her when they had appts and things (they didn't trust her home alone) and she certainly didn't want to come back here so hopefully this all works out. That is where she wants to be and she will be 18 the first week of Feb so then she can do what she wants anyway. So hopefully this works for everyone!

Anyway that's bout it for me. Hope everyone has a good day and talk soon. :)

Oh and PS Heather LOVE the sonogram pic! I so remember getting one like that and it fills you with such joy! I wanted a baby for YEARS and then had a hard time getting pg when I finally DID get married to someone who wanted kids and then when I DID get pg with Katy I started bleeding and almost lost her. They told me my placenta had become partially detached and it would either fully detach and I would miscarry or it would itself and she would be fine. I was SO scared my entire pregnacy. I had other problems the rest of the time and it was just so reasurring to be able to SEE her and know she was ok! I know you must feel the same and I am praying that all is well with you and your little one! Can't wait to hear what "she" is and to actually see her!!!

And courtney I hope you start feeling better!

I always forget people when I am trying to respond and I didn't want to leave you guys out! :)

Good Morning all!

I found Vicki at MA! Well, at least I found her on a video. :thumbsup2

They posted a video of some of the start, and there she is!

Go to this link, and you can see her smiling face at 43 seconds. :)

I hope everyone is having a great morning!

Ooh, I saw her!! Nice ears, Vicki!!!

Heather - I loved your ultrasound pic :thumbsup2 Do they know that it's a girl or are you going on faith here???

Good Morning Divas!:)

I have a lot of catching up to do. Gosh, I take the weekend off and you guys chat away like there's no tomorrow!

Merry Christmas Katie. I'm glad we surprised you. We missed you at RBT on Sunday - I kept looking for you. It was SO NICE to meet Carol (she does rock!::yes::) and see Heather and Michelle again. And our dinner with Vicki and family was lovely. The kids were sweet and cute and very well behaved. Michael kept scrunching up his hat in different ways and putting it on his head so every time I looked at him it was random on his head. He is so cute I could barely refrain from pinching his checks and hugging him. And Sara is a lovely young lady who takes AP classes and plays the flute. Busy girl she is. :cutie: And of course Vicki brought us a gift. Delicious homemade pumpkin gingerbread and a mini Rosa Regale. After my own heart this friend is - oh yeah!:thumbsup2 Donna - you were sorely missed and we must plan a gathering again.

Bree & I braved the rain on Sat, crowds were so low we even got on Nemo with a 15 minute wait. But the rain was relentless and we got pretty wet. DH joined us at the hotel Sat night. Sunday we hit DL but took it slow. DH is very fatigued these days and can't walk for a long period of time. So we only did a few rides. Saw the Billy Holiday show - wonderful and funny - blew him a kiss for Tina, Callie & Trudi. So worth the time. Did the holiday tour. DL was very busy this day and it was awesome to get front of the line entrance for HMH and IASW. And the parade was a delight. Our chefs table experience at Napa Rose was out of this world. The best meal ever. Definitely my Christmas treat from DH.:lovestruc Anyway, that was our weekend, we had a great time.

I am so sorry I haven't read back much and missed a lot. But I will say on the shaving poll - I am just like Theresa. Barely any hair - and it's blond - shave the legs once a week all year round. Unless we are on a tropical vacation or something, then shave more often. DH has never uttered a complaint so it's all good.:goodvibes

I have a phone interview in 20 minutes and should not be DISing. Oh well. Let's hope it goes well.

Katie--So glad that the Divas brightened up your holiday season! Yeah!!

Capri: Prayers to your dad and your family. I hope they can get his health back to better with continual care.

Heather: Love the sonogram. So wonderful that all the news is goods. Continued prayers for healthy mom and healthy baby

I got a pair of Uggs for Christmas last year. Liked them just fine. Now that I am in Switzerland, I LOVE them! So comfy and warm and I wear them with no socks. I want another pair now!

My parents arrived today. Crazy to see my family here. They are staying next door in a B&B sort of place which is perfect because we can have them over for dinner and then they can go back to their own space. My brother and his two teenage kids come tomorrow. My niece and nephew will be staying here. So far, lots of fun!

OK, got to go prep for the interview. One final chance to get job with my company that's trying to lay me off. Here's hoping this interview works out!

Happy Holidays everyone!

Good Morning Divas!:)

Awww, thanks !!! I have plans to go back on Jan. 3rd for one last look at the Christmas decor and hopefully some good sales on Christmas items.:santa:

Good luck Jen on your interview and enjoy having your family there. I bet that will be a HUGE treat. I know when I first moved to Washington State (which of course is not like being overseas) I REALLY missed being away from my family and it was SO nice to have them come visit. ESP during the holidays!

Deb, yay for uggs! I can't afford the real ones so what I've done in the past is go to Big 5 on Black Friday and get some for $20. They are very comfortable and keep my tootsies warm.

I do the same thing and they last for years even with daily wear, just as nice looking as the Uggs but without that little tag that ups the price !!!!

So I bit the bullet and I bought the UGGs this morning. I really need to stay away from the Budget Board....:rolleyes1

Kel~ 8 years ago I bought a cheapish microwave and it still works. I think I paid $45 for it.

Beth~ I hope you start feeling better.

I can't wait to take the boys to GWL, there is one over in Lacey, I think its Lacey. I can't wait!

We have gone to the GWL in Lacey (actually Grand Mounds) and had a blast. We have been there twice. Once when it first opened (no starbucks yet ugh!) and just this last August. My kids are older so it was nice having a room to go back to and relax or watch a movie when I had enough of the water park.

I had an OB appointment today. Everything looks great!

She is measuring 6 days ahead now, and has a really strong heartbeat. (My boys were both big, Nathan was over 9 pounds 4 weeks early!) She was just a kickin and punchin me! It's amazing to see how far she's come in 4 weeks. Remember the dot I posted? :thumbsup2 Well she now has a head, and eyes, and arms and legs, and a belly! I'm in love already. :goodvibes

Here's her latest picture!

She looks great! This is my favorite thing to do at work. Between the first ultrasound and being able to use the doppler to hear the heartbeat for the first time and seeing the reaction on mom and dads faces makes me continue to drive a hour each way to work. I ussually only work 2 days a week but lately we have been short handed and I have picked up extra (4 this week yikes). I figured more spending money for February!

I can't wait to go. I was going to book it for January, but you never know the pass is going to be. So I am thinking my spring break wknd the snow will be better and the pass won't be so bad.

Our first trip it was spring break and not everything was done. It never felt crowded both trips probally because its so big. The only issue we had was at the sit down restaurant they have. It took over 2hrs from the time we were seated until the time we paid the bill both times! Never again will I eat there.

Thanks, we will know not to eat at the sit down restaurant.
Just driving by the place looks huge!!

We had friends just return from GWL and they said the food at the restaurant was worse than school cafeteria food and grossly overpriced. They warned us not to eat there, and to bring a lot of our own food when we go. I'm not sure I will get to go since the Diva trip overlaps the time when we have been invited to go with our neighbors. Dan and the kids will go, even without me.

Well hmmm....maybe I should change it to Silver Mountain in January. They have a tubing hill. And all of the rooms have kitchens. We can just cook our own food or the pizza place there is really good.

We are back from our trip. I finally got to meet some Divas! They really do exist! :rotfl: Breakfast on Sunday with Heather, Linda, Bree, and Michelle felt like being with old friends. And it was so fun when Vicki came and introduced herself at breakfast Saturday morning.

MouseAdventure was awesome, but we wimped out in the rain. Kind of embarrasing, since we are from Oregon, and we didn't even stay to turn anything in. Rob's shoes got soaked riding Splash (about half way through the ride, I said, "I'll bet we didn't even have to ride to find the answer" and I was right) so he was not comfortable. Trying to do everything in the rain and not being able to find a spot to rest and dry out just got tiring and we weren't having fun any more so we went back to our hotel. We agreed that it would have been a lot of fun under different circumstances; we were already pretty tired by Saturday and were not prepared for the intensity. Maybe next time!

I'm so glad we went to the Billy show - I try to see it every time we are there. I can certainly understand the attraction; he's hot! We definitely need to put this on the schedule.

Here are a few pictures from our trip:

Well I'm still sitting here in my jammies and I had better get showered and dressed before Bryan gets home from the gym, and then get started on the pile of laundry.
