My Christmas cards will be going out tomorrow. I've been forgetting to do them for the past two weeks! Can someone please tell me how much is postage to Canada and to Switzerland? Thank you!

I had my music final today and I felt I did rather well :thumbsup2 but I'm still worried about my essay. I'm usually very good at essays but I was so stressed about my major classes that I could never really wrap my head around how this professor wanted the essay. I felt like I was rambling which is NEVER a good sign.

I've been here at Starbucks for about 2 hours but I'm packing up to do some light grocery shopping.

Heather ...LOVE the picture! So cute! :cutie:
Ayden was 9lbs 15oz but a week late...big healthy babies I tell ya!

Capri...you and your family are in my prayers. I checked my FB later today to see if you had posted any updates. I'm sending you all good thoughts.

Katie: Yay, I'm so glad you got it! Merry Christmas! I've been waiting and waiting for you to post something about it. I'm sorry to say I wasn't aware about your surprise until after I received my surprise, so I wasn't able to contribute to it, but I am so happy for you! Aren't our friends just the best people in the world. I honestly don't know a more wonderful group of people than this one right here!

Heather: Awwww, she's a little bundle of cuteness already.:cutie:

BTW - I've received several Christmas cards and I love them all! :santa: :cloud9:

Hopefully the Christmas cards I sent out don't offend anyone. I mean, they're not that bad or anything, but I appologize in advance if you didn't like them. :rolleyes1

My dad is being admitted to the hospital. I haven't heard much yet other than that. I won't be able to go see him until tomorrow, but I'm sure mom will keep me updated as she receives information from the doctors. Thanks everyone for all your prayers and well wishes! :grouphug:

Capri, thinking of you and your dad.
And I loved your card! I laughed when I opened it!
I got my first batch out today - the Canadian gals and the Swiss Miss. And everyone who sent me one already (that way I go by the envelopes... so much easier). Next wave will be done tonight.

A quick hello!

Poor Donna and DH cancelled because of the weather and I don't blame them! I would have stayed in and been warm and dry too! We missed you Donna.
:)

Just for the record :lmao: it was storming! I would not have canceled for a little rain, but I had been driving on the freeway from my gym about an hour before we were to leave for DL. The rain was coming down in sheets, at an angle, and my car was actually planing! Like Bambi on ice. I got control but then passed two accidents.

So weather.com said it would be storming in anaheim (with lightning) about the time we'd be leaving the restaurant and heading home. I was so looking forward to seeing Vicki and Linda and Bree, and having Dh meet everyone, esp the guys. Instead, I had to stay home and watch the Lakers LOSE (those games are much better on tivo where you can fast forward). :sad2:

Stacie and Heather, you guys looked sooo cute in your shirts, I can't imagine what the winning ones must have looked like! It will be fun to find out your scores soon.

Heather, so glad you pointed out that dangerous third fall in Pirates! ;) The baby pic is adorable.... :cutie:

Katie, told you we'd be seeing you at DL soon...

I am loving the Christmas cards - such a pretty variety. Gotta go make dinner... Hi to everyone.

Heather~ I love the pic! Awww..what a cutie!! OMG! Over 9 lbs??? You poor girl! I thought Kaeleb was a big baby at 8 lbs and Jordans was so tiny compared to Kaeleb. He was 7 lbs. but he was so long!

Capri~ I loved the card!

Cristabel Canada .75, Switzerland .98

Theresa~ if we ever go and get a pedi...I will for sure ask you if you have shaved!! :rotfl2:

Kelly~ The only thing close to a hippie gene in my body is my love for my Birks. I love those shoes. Other than that I am a leg shaven, bra wearing girl!! But then again at one point in my life I had lost 175 pounds so I always wear a bra! Ok that might have been TMI.........:rolleyes1

I got a bunch of cards in the mail today.
Along with my hospital bill :scared1::scared1::scared1::scared1:
Oh well what do ya do? Thankfully the hospital takes payments.
All I can say I hope you guys don't ever need emergency surgery, blood transfusion or an ER visit.

We have a winter storm warning for the Moses lake area tonight. It was snowing this morning when I took Kaeleb to school this morning.

Oh and on Thursday he is getting Student of the Month award. :thumbsup2 :woohoo:

Then after he gets his award we are off to get new glasses for him. Then back to school for him.

I hope everyone is having a great evening.

I also do not have a crafty bone in my body. So now I must firgure out how to make 2 t-shirts & a find the best pillow case.

With the DARK material transfers, you print the image normally and not reversed. Then you have to peel the backing off and put it on your dark material with the image up. Then they give you a piece of parchment type paper that you put over your image to iron it on.

CLEAR AS MUD??

.

Yes, it all makes sense now ! Thanks. I'll have to wait til the weekend to get the right transfer paper.

Thanks again to everyone for the gift:flower3:.

:scared1: You opened the door without a bra on??? You are brave. If I did that, most likely I'd trip over my :Pinkbounc:Pinkbounc on the way to the door.

Believe me it is RARE when I'm not wearing a bra. My girls are jumbo right now & they do hit the floor . I was just having one of those mornings & didn't have the energy to strap the girls up .

Here's her latest picture!

I'm so excited for you :yay:. I'm glad things are looking good. So when do you find out what your having (even though I know it's a girl :thumbsup2)?

Hopefully the Christmas cards I sent out don't offend anyone. I mean, they're not that bad or anything, but I appologize in advance if you didn't like them. :rolleyes1

I thought your card was hilarious. It gave me a good chuckle. I especially liked the back of the card. It made it even more funny.

Katie, told you we'd be seeing you at DL soon...

Can't wait :thumbsup2.

Yay for the cards!
Boo for the hospital bill! And I hope none of us have to have emergency surgery either. I'm so sorry you had to go through it . I hope at least you are feeling a little better now.

Katie, Merry Christmas! :santa:

Capri, I'll be keeping you and your daddy in my prayers.

Stacie and Heather, Really cute pictures!:cutie: Especially the one of your little girl. :goodvibes

I shave my legs all the time, and I have been married for 32 plus years. No excuses ladies.

I have 2 pairs of Uggs and I wear them everyday. I have them on right now. I love love them. I wear them everywhere. I even wear them DL all day. My first pair that I had, I had them for 5 years and put them to good use, let me tell you. The ones I have on right now, are on their 3rd year. I love the Ultras, cuz you can replace the inner linings on the sole. I do that everyear, so they are nice and fresh and feel good. And don't ever wear socks with them. That will make them stink. Can you tell I love them?:rotfl:

Donna, that rain was scary last weekend. Crazy!!

Deb, Cograts on Jordan! :thumbsup2

Phew! I was thinking Beth & I were the only ones who shaved!! :lmao:

Thanks!

Hi Ladies!

Katie - so glad you got your card.

Capri - I hope that your dad gets better soon and that your mom rests while she can. Also, I loved your card (I laughed out loud).

It sounds/looks like the ladies that made their way to DL had a great time.

It's been a long week and it's only Monday. I'm off on Thursday and Friday but I'm thinking about taking Wednesday off too (and maybe even tomorrow...if I can talk my boss into it ;)).

I volunteered in Selena's class today to do a winter craft. Her teacher has been out of school since last week (her mom passed away) and she won't be back until Jan. Anyway the kids were pretty riled up for the substitute as well as the holidays. There were a couple of kids that were outright rude and disrespectful. I enjoy being able to help in her class but today's hour seemed to take forever (previous classes have flown by).

So much more to the day but I don't want to bore you all w/ my ramblings.

The biggest concern is I'm not feeling the Christmas spirit, yet. :confused3 This is extremely weird for me, I mean I love Christmas. I just feel like I've been going 100 mph and haven't had the chance to enjoy the season. I really hope that I start 'enjoying' the season soon, I'm hoping that it will kick in when I'm at DL at the end of the week.

Take care, talk to you all soon. :grouphug:

Ayden was 9lbs 15oz but a week late...big healthy babies I tell ya!

Janelle - that's hilarious!! Jesse was also exactly 9 pounds 15 oz and he was five days late (the longest five days of my life!). Big babies..... :thumbsup2

Theresa~ if we ever go and get a pedi...I will for sure ask you if you have shaved!! :rotfl2:

See, that's a friend!! Luvs ya

So they stink if you wear socks with them?? Who knew :confused3 I thought it would be the opposite (like when my DS wears his sneakers without socks - blech!)

Phew! I was thinking Beth & I were the only ones who shaved!! :lmao:

Don't be redonkulous!! I shave, just not that often ;)

Steph, I feel ya. I'm in the same boat, for whatever reason. I was talking with Frank about this just today. I just am not in the Christmas spirit and I am usually the most Christmasy person around! I  Christmas and getting ready for it and making it special for my family. I'm not even in the mood to have people over for Christmas dinner, which is a huge tradition in our house. We usually have at least 25-30 people for Christmas dinner.

I hope you start enjoying it soon - and I'm sure you will if you're going to Disneyland!!! Have an awesome time and try and get one of those handmade candy canes!

I'll be there on Thursday, where is this 40% of merchandise?!?!
mghyper.gif
I still have a good chunk of $ on my fun card.
.

It was in the Emporium, just a small part of one rack with retro stuff on it.

Hmmm, my multi-quoting isn't working...

Deb - Boo for bills (I think someone else said that...)!! I love the cards I've gotten so far, don't think I've gotten Capri's yet though.

Steph - That just means it's time to slow down, which is hard to do sometimes. I keep thinking about the shopping I still need to do and the dinner I need to plan for Sunday and the trip to South Dakota in a week and the 3 (or 4) parties we're supposed to go to and I'm overwhelmed!

Mel - I shave every other day in the summer, but who really cares in the winter?! I'm with Kelly, it helps keep my legs warm!!

I forgot one of the most important parts of our MA/DL trip... We got to see Maynard!!! He was working at the Tiki Room and we were still working on the quests and skipped it, but then after we turned in our stuff at about 5:30, we stopped by again and asked him if he was working on Sunday (no, not when we would be there) so we asked if he was doing the next show and he asked the CM standing next to him and the answer was yes!! Then he did his Menehune commercial for us, which I've heard before, then some other voices and a little thing about the tiki gods' belly buttons then we got to go in and hear his spiel before the Tiki Room started, FUNNY!!

Definitely made the rain worthwhile!!

Cute baby pic Heather.

Boo for bills.

Yay for cards. I received many today.

Yay for Uggs. I doubt I will ever own a pair though. lol

Yay for meeting Maynard.

Boo for a newly cracked tooth and a dentist appt I know I must now make, and a new bill to deal with.

Here's hoping we all get in the Christmas spirit real soon and also we all figure out how to put these awesome tee designs onto the actual tees. :wizard:

So tired. Off to bed. Night ladies!!! :)

Thanks everyone for the compliments! :goodvibes

Capri, I pray your Dad heals quickly.

I forgot to tell about Maynard also! The Tiki Room has always been my happy place, and he made it even more special. I know I'll be looking at those belly buttons everytime I go now! :)

I have no regrets about the weekend other then I wish I had rode HMH again.

Oh, and I do shave, just not everyday. Now that I go to the OB regularly, I'm well shaven. (That just didn't sound right...) :rotfl2:

That was just too much information!!! I'm glad you had your jammies on this weekend!!

:rotfl2: :rotfl2:
That just sounds too funny!!

BOO on bills!!

I hope your tooth doesn't give ya too much trouble Beth

I am not much in the Christmas spirit this year either. Kinda just blah...
I am usually all excited about shopping and making Ginger bread houses with the boys, but this year not so much. I have barely even done any shopping. Although I think the stocking are done, well I mean I know what I am going to put in them. I jus need to go and buy it.

I'm feeling the Christmas spirit a lot more this year than the past few and I think I can attribute that to being away at school. Absence makes the heart grow fonder.

Steph, you will definitely feel it kick in once you walk under the Disneyland railroad. I go frequently and Disneyland never fails to put a smile on my face and fill me with the giggles. It's really beautiful at Christmas and makes me more teary-eyed than usual!

Beth, I hate dentists and I hope this cracked tooth doesn't cause you too much pain, in your mouth OR your wallet! I know I'm going to hate the dentist even more next year because I'm finally getting braces because my dad upped the insurance.

Deb, yay for uggs! I can't afford the real ones so what I've done in the past is go to Big 5 on Black Friday and get some for $20. They are very comfortable and keep my tootsies warm.

I watched A Charlie Brown Christmas today and now I'm watching Mighty Ducks on Netflix. I think I'm going to bake tonight because the chocolate chip cookie recipe is so delicious and my parents really liked the few that I brought home.

I don't have any finals tomorrow so it will be my most hardcore studying day. I have my history final on Wednesday and it's in essay format. My hand always cramps up when I have essay exams because I write quickly so I won't forget all the information. I'm going to definitely write my rough drafts to make sure I retain all the important information.

As far as Christmas shopping goes I will only be able to buy presents for my own family. I usually buy a present for all of my immediate family (about 20 people) and end up spending around $500 - $600 but because I don't have a seasonal job this winter I won't have the cash. I've bought and wrapped the gifts for my mom and Anais. I don't know what to get my dad. Why are guys so hard to shop for? I want to get him something he can use in Spain. Any ideas?! As for Diana, I'm going to buy her some Disney stuff because I'm using my $ from my fun card.

Oh and to take part in the group survey, I shave my legs every night during the summer because I only wear shorts. Now that I have bought three pairs of jeans I haven't shaved in two weeks. I don't really worry about it during the winter because
A) I sleep alone!
B) I'm always in pants
C) If I do wear capris, it's only at home

Peace out! :hippie:

Hey all.

I didn't have the presence of mind to multi quote when I read through...so don't hve the energy to go back.

So, some highlights.

Stacie--love the shirts, how cute you all looked.

Capri--I am so sorry your dad is doing so poorly. I hope he comes home from the hospital soon. My Dad is visiting...and he is pretty pitiful now.

Katie--HA suprise...have a good Christmas.

T shirts--I am crafty. I do not have a color printer. I will be happy to iron on for anyone who will print transfers for me. Actually I will first ask my DH what he has at work.

Cute baby on the ultrasound...my DD was small at birth compared to your bruisers!! She was only 7lb 6 oz, but was 3 weeks early, so she had some growth to go.

Beth--my periods got closer and closer together in my late late 30's and very early 40's. LIke...is this continual or what? My GYN said, "welcome to perimenapause". Happy happy joy joy!!

Okay...to add to the poll about shaving. I am a swimmer. I think I have shaved my legs EVERY day since I was about 15!! I cannot stand stubble, drives me batty. During all those years I would bet that you could count the days I have skipped on two hands!!!

Oh, and I am not very hairy...I'm Irish.

Good night!!

AMy SUe

I shave my legs if I am wearing shorts or a skirt--otherwise we go "au natural"

Other than that, I am tired and going to bed my Divas!

I'm confused about stamps. Deb told me that to mail a card to Switzerland costs 0.98 cents. I have liberty bell forever stamps. Do I only need one or two? :confused3

I'm JUST now going to bed. I really don't know why I haven't gone to bed. It's weird because I don't feel tired or sleepy. I wonder if it has to do with all the stress of finals week.

I'm going to bed now and I'll probably be up by 12pm. Weird!
