Hello everyone!

TGIF! Hope you all have a great weekend.

Anyhow, if you read all that, I am impressed. I feel better now that I have gotten it all out of my system and bragged a little. Hell hath no fury like a protective mother, right??
I read it all, and have to say, go Nathan and the other kids! And yay for bragging rights. ;)

Gee, so many of you are planning vacations. Wish I was too.
We never go anywhere. Well the occasional Dl weekend but I don't consider that a vacation . It has to be a full week to be a vacation for me and that hasn't happened for over 10 years. At least it's warming up here so this weekend I plan to sit out in the sun, sip lemonaid and pretend I'm on vacation.
Aw, Trudi, time to tell those parents to make other arrangements and take care of yourself for a week. ::yes::

Hey ladies - been awol for a while - life is getting in the way! A good way but still....;)

Anyway, my back is finally feeling better after several weeks of Advil and ice and a visit to the chiropractor! Found out today that my nephew is getting married in Quebec City in December - very excited since I have never been to Canada!
Glad to hear you are better. And congrats to your nephew!

Did anyone notice that they changed the smilie list up? :headache:
Yes. I am not happy. :rolleyes2

:teeth::teeth:

After all--I AM a "Bad Girl"
:thumbsup2

Sigh. Talking about "Bad Girls" has me missing Dawn today.

Jen, was it you that makes the Hooter Hiders? Do you sell them or do you have a pattern you'd be willing to share with me?

I do sell them, and I think I have the pattern around here somewhere - although, I have tweeked the original pattern to add a pocket and terry cloth for cleaning baby's mouth. What would you like? :)

Ok, so I read 2 pages and realized that I was just too far behind - 8 pages, phew! Here is me, brief haha:
  • DH and I have been having weekly dates and talking more.
  • We are waiting to get an appointment with a counsler - they are backed up
  • 5 weeks till finals (woo hoo)
  • My Gpa is ready to join my brother and is getting worse by the day
  • I am halfway though "Outlander" - it is a great read!

I hope everyone is doing well - now I will go back through and skim the pages!

Hi Ladies.

Congrats to all who are planning fabulous vacations.
Bridget I'm glad your back is feeling better.
Hugs to Mel and Capri and Katie. Oh, group hug for everyone!

I feel like I am the mouse on the wheel, I keep running and running and can't seem to get anything accomplished. While you all are looking forward to a wonderful weekend, I'll be working 8 am - 4pm in the hot sun with my massage students, giving massages to the walkers at Relay for Life on our college campus tomorrow. I really love this event, and it teaches the students to 'give back', but I'm always so exhausted afterwards. I've been at a massage conference taking classes and attending seminars, for the past two days, and I'll be going back again on Sunday. It's a great networking opportunity and all, but I just want a day off. I have tests to grade, homework to grade, and it would be nice to fit a little sleep in there somewhere too.

Thanks for listening to my mini vent. I guess I should get off the computer and actually go do some grading (or fall asleep trying!)
Hope everyone has a great weekend!

The freesia got pelted pretty bad, but they were half spent anyway. one of the tomatoes has a little leaf damage, but the 3 blossoms survived (it's an "early girl" variety). The other tomato looks good. My sage is blooming and the rain helped knock most of the rosemary blossoms off, so the bees will be done there soon and I can prune that bush back. It's WAY out of control! I have a new rose blooming on the bush in the front yard and at least 2 buds on my Princess Di rose in the back yard. The hail did some damage to some of the hosta leaves, but not too bad. Ditto for the cyclamen, but they are a little more sheltered and the hosta protected some of them. That's my garden update. LOL

Your garden sounds heavenly. Out of control or not :)

Hello ladies . I have a minute to breath so I thought I'd check in real quick. Life has been pure chaos but I'm cool with it :cool2:.

To all the Divas who remember me getting a speeding ticket on the way to the ladies trip, I'm going to court today to fight it . It's only a plea hearing so I still won't know anything for a month or two, but me and Laila will be going to Disneyland after court :thumbsup2.

That would be awesome :cloud9:

I'm sorry....a speeding ticket to disneyland?! That...is...hilarious!!!! No offense:blush: I only say that because I tend to have a heavy foot myself and that's why Scott drives to DL each time because we wouldn't be able to afford the court trip!!!:lmao::rotfl2:

Have fun at DL!!!!!

Hope court went well today, Katie!

Sorry about the WEP exam, but when you see how many people graduate from HS that can't make change for a dollar, yet they passed all their math classes, I can see where they feel the need to "double check". Still, it's a pain in the butt for you!

::yes:::thumbsup2

Jen, glad to hear about your date nights with your hubby. Our date nights are Mondays. It's a time to connect with each other. We leave the kids at home and go off for coffee and conversation. I look at it as "filling up my pitcher". We need to keep it full, ya know?

Happy Saturday, ladies!!
In two weeks from today, my family and I will be on our way to Ocean Beach to spend one night enjoying the cool coastal air and scenery. Some of you remember me posting on FB about the awesome Living Social deal I bought awhile back. Two bedroom suite in a hotel on the water/cliffs for 6 people for $120, including parking. An unheard of deal for a beachfront hotel.
I cannot wait to escape this desert heat. Then after that we will be on our way to Disneyland! :cool1:

Hopefully no one gets sick between now and then! Oh, and hopefully Adam's finger doesn't need surgery. :sad2:

Have a great weekend all!!

Sigh. Talking about "Bad Girls" has me missing Dawn today.
 I watched "Big Fish" the other day and it made me think of her. I remember her posting about how it was one of her favorite movies.

I'm sorry about your Grandpa. But I am happy you and your husband seem to be moving forward and working things out. :)

Oh, you do need a break! I hope you are able to take some time for yourself soon! :wizard:

Tracey: I read the whole thing and WHOO HOO! Go Nathan! (umm, don't tell anyone but I have this little mean streak too--especially when someone needs a come-uppance!)

LOL - What Cherie said. :cool1:

Hi Ladies~
As usual I didn't multi quote! Beth, your ocean front hotel stay sounds wonderful! I am totally craving sunshine, especially after our teaser day today. It made it to upper 60's! But the mountains were out and it was glorious as it can only be in the pacific northwest. I am really looking forward to that hot dessert heat next month! Are you going to be in town the weekend of the 11th?

I feel for you Chris, with your hamster wheel. Hope it will slow down for you soon.
Bridget, so glad your back is better!

Funny story! We had another game last night, and I though I was watching t-ball again. The kids couldn't make a play to save their lives, they couldn't hit, they were screwing around in the dugout, and several of them had to run off the field to use the potty. I think I was too gleeful with our great game two days ago! Anyhow, I hope they get back to normal because watching last night was pure torture. I didn't care about our huge loss, but seriously...potty breaks???

I like this smiley: :furious:

Happy Saturday night ladies!

T

I loved your story Tracey. :thumbsup2 Tee Hee;)

Spent the day at Laguna Beach with Bree. Cold day, only 62 and overcast. But we made the best of it. Lunch at Splashes (we waved to your room Wendy :)) and really enjoyed the resort for a few hours. Then did winetasting with a Groupon and walked around looking at shops. We need to unsubscribe to Groupon and Living Social. We buy so many and are always off using them somewhere. I don't think we are saving any money :headache: but we do have a lot of fun.

Beth, I'm sure you are excited for your trip :)

I hope everyone is enjoying their weekend.

Morning all.

Katy and I got back from the camping trip Friday night and mom and dad are finally back from Mexico and their dad is off in Vegas. So it has been a crazy busy few weeks with everyone coming and going at the same time. But he gets home tonight so finally everyone will be back and things should start getting back to normal soon.

Things are going to start getting busier and busier for us. Katy has missed two of her track meets because one got rained out and then they missed the one last week because of the trip. So really hoping that the one this weeks works out. And the girls both have to register for next year's classes this week. I also have to go BACK to the stupid dentist to get my crown fixed tomorrow. NOT looking forward to that.

Swim should be starting in full swing in the next few weeks and Katy has her cheer clinic week in two weeks. So busy busy! We only have 50 some odd days till mom and I take the girls on our summer trip so REALLY looking forward to that!

Didn't read back but hope everyone is well and have a great rest of your weekend!!

Beth - your trip sounds like so much fun! I have been debating on whether or not to squeeze a trip in before our summer vacation - your trip definitely has me leaning...

Linda~ You and Bre are always off having fun. I love seeing your adventures on fb :)

It is so beautiful outside today and I am working on lessons plans for this week. The boys are selling lemonade and cupcakes outside and have made $5 so far. It's cute.

Just wanted to pop in and say hi to everyone. I've spent the last week helping my DD pack up and move from downtown LA to Marina del Rey. Her new apartment is about 200 yards to the beach .... guess where I'll be spending the next few days???? What a quiet peaceful area. We hope to make it to DL next Saturday .... hope it isn't crazy crowded!!! Oh well it'll still be fun.

Hope everyone had a great weekend.

How wonderful~! I dream of living on the beach one day. Well, near the beach really:)

Sad day for me today. We sold our tent trailer. After buying Worldmark, it just seems like we have been camping less and less. And then our dear dog had a leg injury and is permanently on restricted activity, so we can't take her to play like we used to. It was time. Really nice people bought it though and they were so appreciative of it's excellent condition. And woo hoo, we got the 3rd bay of our garage back!

We've talked about getting a tent trailer some day. MAYBE I could get hubby to go camping then. LOL

Good morning, ladies!! :)

I'm actually hoping when we are at the beach that it is cloudy and gray. :rolleyes1 It's been so hot here. We broke records this past weekend. Our normal high for this time of year is in the low 80's. We reached 99 yesterday. Yuck! Too early for that. It is supposed to cool down some later this week.
I should be around that weekend. At least Saturday. Sunday, the 13th, is Mother's Day.

Spent the day at Laguna Beach with Bree. Cold day, only 62 and overcast.
See, now that sounds perfect. ;)
We love Groupon and Living Social. But we try to pick and choose items that we'd do anyway, kwim? It can be a real savings sometimes. But, I can also see how it would be easy to get carried away. :rotfl:

Aw, cute! I'd buy some if I was there. I love lemonade. Nothing says summer better. And of course, who doesn't love cupcakes. Hope they did well!

We've talked about getting a tent trailer some day. MAYBE I could get hubby to go camping then. LOL

We used to go camping all the time when we lived in SoCal. We didn't go in Michigan because the mosquitoes were awful. And we haven't gone here because I don't like desert camping.
I miss it. We did regular old tent camping and it was a lot of work, but also we had a lot of fun. :goodvibes

That is not camping!!! :lmao: We love camping and have a few trips planned around CA this year :)

The boys made $8, the neighbor boys stole $2, then our boys had to go get their money back. Fuuuuunnnn....hahaha.

Hi ladies.....I hope you are all doing well. I did skim the updates (sssshhhhh I'm at work) and hope to have to have to get caught up soon. I was off work all last week, was signed out by the dr because I was so sick M-W and then Th & F was off for our Vegas trip. I wasn't able to meet up with Beth (I think she's avoiding me.......LOL) again, Rueben was able to get some OT so that left her with no car but we had a great time. Didn't overdo it, didn't stay up too late and didn't get drunk at all!!!! But came home feeling much better than when I left! I think the dry desert air just dried everything out for me. lol It's a long drive but it was fun!! We wish we could have stayed longer tho.
Now I'm going to start pricing out a trip to DL for Cass and I for her 16th birthday. We may have to go later but I have to check their school calender and get it figured out! I have to get back to work, just wanted to check in quickly and say HI to everyone!! :)

I wasn't able to meet up with Beth (I think she's avoiding me.......LOL) again,

Me?? Avoiding you?? :rolleyes1

:rotfl2: No, not at all. I have to say, I was happy Ruben got some OT. It's been pretty much nonexistent where he works for months and months now. He's getting more this coming Sunday as well. It will help a bit with our DL trip!
But, the downside was missing out on meeting you.....again! :sad2: Guess this just means you are for sure going to have to come on the ladies trip! :thumbsup2
