Hope court went well today, Katie!

Sorry about the WEP exam, but when you see how many people graduate from HS that can't make change for a dollar, yet they passed all their math classes, I can see where they feel the need to "double check". Still, it's a pain in the butt for you!

Oooooo... Aulani! How exciting, Carol!

It felt like Grand Central Station around here today. The lawn guy came today and looked at my stupid drip system and we tried to swap some parts out but it still didn't work. Put the old parts back on and the dang thing came on. This is after he looked at it 4 weeks ago and couldn't get it to work. Stupid thing.

Then the heat and air guy was here for about an hour doing the annual maintenance/tune up on the system so I had the heat on. Then the a/c. Then the heat. LOL After he left I got to run to the grocery store, bank and post office. Came home, put groceries away and then off to Fry's to return the bluetooth headset I got this weekend that doesn't have the right connector and then to Home Depot to return the sprinkler things we didn't need. Fun day. I'm going to bed early tonight. LOL

Sarah I would so go with you except that my son is getting married on July 14 and I guess I should be here for that. :)

Disneyland after court is always a good idea. ::yes::

My life has been super busy working at the tax office but today is tax day! :woohoo:
That means I will probably be working until waaaay late and then first thing tomorrow morning I need to go in to close down my office and transfer all the files to the district office. Then Thursday I will get my review and hopefully find out what my bonus will be for my office hitting our goals. :thumbsup2
I have spent it already as I decided yesterday that I am going to Aulani next month! :stitch:

Sounds like you've been having fun!

I do have to tell you, I started watching Grimm... actually, I've been DVRing it since it started and then watched them all in the last month. Now I can't wait until the new episode this Friday. I'm hooked!! Not sure I would have watched it without you saying something. Christine watches Once Upon a Time, I've seen little bits & pieces of it but I know if I start watching it, I'll want to keep watching it. Right now I watch 4 different shows, including Grimm, and I think that's enough!!

Yay! I want a FULL report so I can plan for October when I go!

Are you renting a car? If so, I know the BEST garlic shrimp place on the island (and the cleanest too!)

and when are you going? because actually I'm going May 1-7 with Brandy again. But we're staying at her house--not at Aulani. Would be fun if you are there while I am!

We will be there May 19-22. We are renting a car so I am interested in finding out about good places to eat.

Almost 13 monts until I'm old enough to be a diva!!

Congratulations! While getting to be a Dis Diva is indeed a wonderful landmark, don't wish your life away. Enjoy being 17, as it only happens once. I know there are quite a few ages that I would go back to in a heartbeat:rotfl:

Ladies, I am so excited! My dh decided to plan a surprise trip to Vegas for us. He set up my sister to watch the kiddos and everything! I am very excited. Of course, I have now taken over the planning:) The fun part is that while we are there, The Paris has offered us an entry into their invite only slot tournament. I have always wanted to play in one of those. (I don't know why, because it is not like I have any chance to win!) Anyhow, I am all signed up, and really looking forward to it!

And in the meanwhile...I had put in a request for Hawaii for an exchange, just in case something came up that I could use. And bada bing bada boom, had Thanksgiving week of 2013 offered. I couldn't resist, so I booked it. It is at the Hilton Hawaiin Village. I do have an ongoing search for Aulani going, but I don't know when they might start depositing into RCI. Anyhow, it is really wierd to plan a vacation where my now 9 year old son will be 11. (His birthday is Thanksgiving week!) It also will be my oldest son's senior year in high school, and this is on our bucket list of things to do before he graduates.

All this vacation planning is so exciting!

Hello ladies! It feels like forever since I've been on here. LOL I've become hooked on a new Facebook game. Well, it's new to me. Disney's Animal Kingdom Explorers. It's sort of an "I Spy" game and then you build your own animal kingdom. It's the first time in a long time I've been hooked on a game....darn it. :rotfl2:

Anyway, I realized I'd been neglecting this place. Although, I "see" most of you on FB every day. ;) Just thought I'd pop in and catch up!

And we leave for Vegas in a week!!!! YAY! :)
:cool1: Hi, Kerri! I know it's much less then a week now.... is it today?? Or tomorrow? In any case, I hope you are feeling soooo much better and have a blast hanging out with the fam. :)

Just eating a late lunch and catching up here before I run to the grocery store. Because I know better than to go to the grocery store HUNGRY. LOL

Toodles!
Hi, Lisa! Smart decision! It's a scary check out bill when I go to the store hungry. :scared1:

We leave for WDW in just two days. On the inside I feel like bouncing off the walls (like this: ) But I am trying to hold it together, cause if I do that on the outside, Dillon might change his mind about going with me!
Hi Andrea!! Have a magical time! Can't wait to hear all about it. :wizard:

Last night was the last night ever of ElecTRONica. It was PACKED! I'm excited to see the new Mad Tea Party themed dance area.
Did you happen to see Rochelle and Jessica. I know they were there. I can't wait to see the new Mad Tea Party either. :cool1:

That sounds like so much fun!! I will be in Michigan and Minnesota at that time, otherwise I would probably jump at the chance!!!
Hi Stacie, that's great!
We are going to Michigan in August! We canceled that trip thinking we wouldn't have enough moola, but my mom surprised us by paying for the train tickets. She was going to drive out here with my dad to visit, and realized with gas, hotel, food, etc she could pay for all 6 of us to take the train for what she was going to pay for the two of them to drive. So, she booked it for us! :hyper: I can't wait to get back to Michigan, although I hope it's not too hot in August. She doesn't have A/C. :crazy2:

Got the news that the person who was supposed to be my roomie in Cancun backed out. Any diva interested in going to Cancun July 12-19? We will be staying at the Cancun Palace, all inclusive, with 750 per person room credit for tours and stuff! It will be a blast...you know you want to! Seriously, it would be great if someone would like to go! Let me know!

SarahMay
Hi Sarah! I'm sure by now you've found someone! Not that I could've gone. :rotfl2: Have fun. I went with Ruben and his family to Cancun once many moons ago. Had a blast!! Of course, that was back when I could still wear a bikini. :lmao:

I've been so busy with work and school that I've barely been on here.
Hiya Cristabel! :wave2:

Hello ladies . I have a minute to breath so I thought I'd check in real quick. Life has been pure chaos but I'm cool with it :cool2:.
 Darn life. Tell it to quit picking on you already!
Good luck on fighting the ticket!!

I wish I could talk her into going to WDW. Free dining is very tempting - lol. But she said she doesn't want to fly that far. Darn. Boo.
Hi Capri! I would love to go back and do free dining again. Best trip ever. But, the darn airfare to get there would cost more than the entire WDW package!! :sad2:
And I'm with your mom, it's too far to fly.

I have spent it already as I decided yesterday that I am going to Aulani next month! :stitch:
Hi Carol!! That's awesome!!

I do have to tell you, I started watching Grimm... actually, I've been DVRing it since it started and then watched them all in the last month. Now I can't wait until the new episode this Friday. I'm hooked!!
Isn't it great! Ruben and I have been watching since the start. I just heard it was picked up for another season. :thumbsup2 We watch Once Upon a Time, too. It's good, but you have to pay attention as it can get a bit confusing at times.

I'm going May 1-7 with Brandy again. But we're staying at her house--not at Aulani. Would be fun if you are there while I am!
Hi Cheryl! Sounds fun. :goodvibes

Sarah and I are planning to go to this. Maybe we can get together with some local Divas. We don't have a date yet but it's a long run. Plenty of time to set one. It looks really fun.

Hi Trudi! Oh, I want to go there! My in-laws live in Moorpark, which isn't too far from there. Maybe I'll have to check it out next time we are in CA. :thumbsup2

Almost 13 monts until I'm old enough to be a diva!!
Hi there! The time will fly by. Enjoy it while it lasts though. ;)

Hi Tracey! Aw, how sweet of your honey!!! :goodvibes I love surprises like that.
And congrats on booking for Hawaii. Sounds awesome!

Beth, I have been wanting to do a train trip. Problem is that nobody in my family wants to do one with me. dang it! Anyhow, that was really nice of the inlaws and should be a great adventure.

Ok, so last night was a great night in our household and I will tell you why, since I can't really share with too many people here, because I sound too mean and vindictive. I know you all know I am mostly a nice person and won't take my little evil side too personally.

My youngest son has been playing baseball for the last 5 years in our local little league, which is riddled with politics and small minded competetive little men, who love to coach so that they can have their egos enhanced. Ok, there are lots of them that coach for the right reasons too, but there are plenty of the other kind, and sadly we got on the team with one of them our first year of t-ball. So we had two miserable years of watching this coach have his son hit first every single game, and always play infield, as did the other favorites, while our son and the other unfavored kids played outfield and hit last. For two years! This was a team with all of Nathan's schoolmates and he didn't seem to really care that much, so we just observed and let it go. Then the coach announced he wasn't going to coach anymore. When they were unable to find another coach, my husband stepped up to help out. He coached for two years, developed all the players skills in all the positions, and did a great job creating a positive and competetive learning environment. Sadly, my son was very stressed out by his Dad being the coach and this year told his Dad that if he was going to coach, then he didn't want to play. But otherwise he wanted to play. So my husband stepped down and didn't coach. The other previous coach, even before my husband had stepped down, had came to our end of year party and announced to everyone that he was coaching again and wanted the team. Basically setting up this big conflict. Although all the parents wanted my husband to coach and keep the kids together. Well, the other coach ended up taking our entire team, except for my son and one other kid ( who was sort of known to be a bit difficult to manage). I felt bad for my son, but was relieved because I do not like that other coaches methods at all!
In the meanwhile, my son was diagnosed with double vision, as well as some other vision issues that really answered the question as to why his baseball skills hadn't developed as we would have expected. He has been in vision therapy for 6 months and this year his hitting throwing and catching have improved a ton! I guess it is easier if you only see one ball coming at you!

So anyhow, as to last night. We had our first game against our old team, and my son got a hit and made a good play and the other kid that didn't get picked caught a fly ball at 1st and then tagged the base and made a double play, and then we won!!! It was such an amazing feeling! And did I mention that all the kids on that team are in Nathan's class at school and the coaches kid had been talking smack about how they were the champions already (they have only played two games!) and they were going to kick our teams but, etc. etc. I was so thrilled that he got to have bragging rights today at school!

Anyhow, if you read all that, I am impressed. I feel better now that I have gotten it all out of my system and bragged a little. Hell hath no fury like a protective mother, right??

I read it all Tracey--and I hope your hurrah gloat and glory glows all day long! That is such a great wonderful Mamma Bear story.

Revenge is a dish best served cold, so it is said!!!

Anyhow, if you read all that, I am impressed. I feel better now that I have gotten it all out of my system and bragged a little. Hell hath no fury like a protective mother, right??

Tracey: I read the whole thing and WHOO HOO! Go Nathan! (umm, don't tell anyone but I have this little mean streak too--especially when someone needs a come-uppance!)

Tracey - Love it! You brag away! I'm more than positive you and Nathan deserve to relish those bragging rights. That guy/coach sounds like a putz. We have those type of coaches here too, some of them extremely obnoxious at the games. Interestingly, their teams are not doing all that hot, which makes me all warm and fuzzy inside - HA!. :stir: :smokin:

Oh thanks you guys! I just knew you would understand;)

I read it all too. Glad everything worked out.

Gee, so many of you are planning vacations. Wish I was too.
We never go anywhere. Well the occasional Dl weekend but I don't consider that a vacation . It has to be a full week to be a vacation for me and that hasn't happened for over 10 years. At least it's warming up here so this weekend I plan to sit out in the sun, sip lemonaid and pretend I'm on vacation.

Hey ladies - been awol for a while - life is getting in the way! A good way but still....;)

Anyway, my back is finally feeling better after several weeks of Advil and ice and a visit to the chiropractor! Found out today that my nephew is getting married in Quebec City in December - very excited since I have never been to Canada!

So trying to catch up:

Sarah - did you ever find a roomie for Cancun? Cancun Palace is a great place!

Katie - what happened with your speeding ticket?

Carol - Aulani sounds like a lot of fun!!

Stacie & Beth - I love Grimm!! Also watch Once Upon a Time but prefer Grimm!

Andrea - hope you are having fun in WDW

Cheryl - You can never get enough of the aloha spirit!

Tracey - how exciting about both Vegas & Hawaii! I love planning, even if it is a ways off. And I also read the whole baseball debacle - soooo understand what you are saying. Did the same thing when Connor was young. So glad your team won!!

Probably more that I missed but ....

Hope everyone survived the tax deadline! :rotfl2:

Love it when that happens, Tracey!! Sometimes the coaches make it all BAD! But then there are the GOOD ones, like your husband.

Tracey: I read the whole thing and WHOO HOO! Go Nathan! (umm, don't tell anyone but I have this little mean streak too--especially when someone needs a come-uppance!)

No... really??? I would have never guessed ;)

Tracey, loved your story and how it all turned out! :thumbsup2

Capri, if your mom does come along, she qualifies for 30% off the room rate if you stay at one of the resorts. :goodvibes

Trudi, I wouldn't mind going to that exhibit. It sounds really neat.:thumbsup2

Linda, extra big hugs to you.

Sarah, hope you found someone to join you. Sure sounds nice. :beach:

Carol, can you smuggle me in your suitcase to the Aluani? ;)

Did anyone notice that they changed the smilie list up? :headache:

Love it when that happens, Tracey!! Sometimes the coaches make it all BAD! But then there are the GOOD ones, like your husband.

No... really??? I would have never guessed ;)
