I just wanted to say that my dear Chris has been gone for 19 months and our bedroom closet is exactly the same - all his clothes and shoes are stil there. On days when I am feeling strong I smell his robe (it's the only "unwashed" item of clothing I have of his). It usually makes me burst into tears. His dresser still has all his clothes and his side of the bathroom still has all his toiletries. It's pretty much like that in the rest of my house. I think because I live alone it's harder for me to change anything. And I am in no hurry

I saw the photos of you and Brianne in La Jolla. You both looked to be really enjoying yourselves on a happy, sunny day!

I made it thru the whole winter and all of last year too, without getting a cold. Now I've got one. Advil and Benadryl are my friends. And sleep. My appetite seems to have taken a leave of absence, which is OK. I have plenty of reserves to go on. LOL This grey, chilly weather isn't helping either. SIGH.

Yesterday the weather so nice out, it was 72 or something, today it's raining.......

I'll take some rain! It was 88 here yesterday. Too hot. Our bedroom is upstairs, facing the sunset, so in the evenings the sun just pours into our window. Nice in winter, but it makes my room hotter than heck in the summer.

My mother came down from Oregon about 2 or 3 weeks after Dad passed away and decided we needed to get rid of EVERYTHING. Clothes were bagged up and donated or tossed. All the bathroom stuff was tossed. She tried to toss all of his yearbooks and school stuff that my grandmother had saved and also a box of her things that Dad still had, but I put my foot down and brought those home. I had already taken the hat. She actually offered me the jacket because she thought I might wear it, which I could if I wanted to, but it's not quite my style. Or anyone's since I think it's from about 1975. LOL My sister and I really didn't have a lot of time to process anything before she came in and cleaned the place out. I had spent some time in the house every day for about 10 days, taking care of his satanic little bird before I found it a home (thank God), so I'd had a little time to kinda process it all and mentally lay claim to things I wanted. My sister is much like my mom and holds little or no sentimental value to "things", sometimes including photos. There were several heated discussions about stuff Mom tried to toss when I wasn't there. She was staying at the house and "cleaning" after my sister and I would go home for the night. She keeps telling me that she's going to get rid of all her stuff before she dies so that I don't try and keep a bunch of it. She says I've got too much stuff. WhatEVER. LOL

What a sad story Lisa. I'm glad you got what you did.

Beth, I followed along with your family for spring break. You guys did a lot of fun stuff!
I could tell SB was over here when traffic returned to normal this morning.

Bree and I are going to WDW in Oct as well. But we are only staying two nights at the Beach Club Villas and then going on a 3 day cruise on the Dream. I love F&W at Epcot.

((hugs)) to all those that have lost someone both recently and in the past. I am sure it is always hard esp on holidays and as you said having to deal with what to do with their things. Like the others said I think whatever is right for each person is all that matters. There is no timeline for these things.

Everyone talking about DW is so exciting. I have NO idea when we will make it back but hopefully within the next 5 years. I am dieing to see the new FL!

I was asked to chaperone Katy's 6th grade field trip so last night I went to the parent meeting and Katy's best friend's mom is going who I am friends with as well as another gal I have known since Katy was in kindergarten. The girls were in scouts together. And we met another really nice lady so I am pretty excited that I have some fun gals to hang out with. I think it will be a really fun trip. We leave next Tues!!

Katy has her first track meet tomorrow and as Lisa mentioned it is grey and ugly so a bit worried about how that is going to affect the meet but excited to see her run. Then this weekend she and Shane are doing a creek cleanup for some of her volunteer hours. So lots of stuff this week AND next.

I thought the same thing! I kept clicking on 108 but it wouldn't come up and you are right about Lisa's. WEIRD. The only thing I could think of was maybe she deleted her post?? (twilight zone music in background!! )

We are having the WEIRDEST weather too. After a really mild almost warm winter with NO rain we are now getting it and then some LOL. It has been pouring the last two days and yesterday they had a small tornado in Stockton. Now today it is raining even harder with possibl thunderstorms. I love this weather but bummed cuz Katy is going to miss her 1st track meet. Kinda glad though that I don't have to go out in it.

They were doing a bunch of upgrades last night, and I couldn't sign on for over an hour, so I bet it has something to do with that. It's like this on a few other threads I am subscribed to as well.

Raining here too .... and I have a hair appointment this morning. Wonder how long my beautiful hair will last? We had a break in the weather yesterday so I did manage to get my flowers planted .... now we'll see how they do getting pounded by the downpour!

The Dis is having issues with posts, I click on them and they are blank.....it's weird!
So I stayed home yesterday, I woke up with a migraine and then my meds made my stomach upset so I stayed home. But I did go to the Disney Store at 5 to meet up with Charmama!!!!! It was so great to meet her! She brought me some Bio-Freeze and told me her DH found a place in Vacaville that sells it as well so YAY!!!!! I'm all excited about my Bio-Freeze. After that we went to Best Buy where we sent Cassidy's iTouch off for repair yet again...this is the 4th time we've sent it off since the beginning of March!! I complained like crazy, I wanted a replacement, my warranty says after 3 repairs I get a new one, well it didn't work, so when I go get the 5th one I'm taking my paperwork to show them where it says that! Then we went to Hot Topic where I found the perfect birthday gift for my friend this weekend, he's going to die when he sees it! LOL It's hilarious! It's a shirt that says "Sexy and I know it" in crazy animal print. LOL We are going to make him wear it all night. LOL He's a good sport tho, he will do it and it will be epic. lol
So I just got back from lunch, I went to Jack in the Box, on my way back there's a cop that pulls out behind me in traffic, he followed me all the way back to my office (after getting "stuck" at 2 lights, he managed to catch up with me) and he is currently sitting in our parking lot, just sitting, not doing anything but sitting......and the second light he got stuck at, he had to catch up to me pretty fast to see me turn into the parking lot I work in, it's pretty much a right and then a right.......I have NO idea what the heck he's doing but I told my boss and we are both getting a kick out of it. lol

Oh and I've randomly lost my voice today....it's very weird and random....lol

One of the weather agencies posted a freakin TORNADO WATCH for our area. My poor little tomato plants. We had hail yesterday and just had a little a few minutes ago.

Life is busy, as you all know.

Do any of you Viggle?? I have been viggling like made saving, cashing in as I have gone. In about a month or so, I have cashed out $225 in Best Buy cards, that I took to the store and turned into Amazon Gift Cards, $60 in movie tickets, $125 in Target gift cards, and $100 in Hotel Gift Cards. I'm feeling pretty good about all that. I was saving the Amazon cards for Xmas or Grocery delivery on our DW trip, but Nate was just diagnosed with severe allergies to dust mites. So instead I bought mattress and pillow encasements and two air cleaners. Not nearly as much fun

dinner is burning so I'll have to git on down the road! Have a good one, Tracey

Morning!

As Lisa said we had the Tornado warning. That was crazy. In all my life I have heard those emergency alert "test" tones all the time but this is the first time I ever heard a REAL one. It was just Katy and I as Shelby was at her dad's but it was freaky. I wasn't TOO worried because the rare times that we get "tornadoes" here they are never very big and do minimal damage but the weather was NUTS. Right when they said it was going to happen Katy and I went and stood on the front porch and the lightening was coming like every minute and a few hit really close and the thunder shook the whole house. Then it started raining and hailing super hard and the wind. It was pretty freaky. I got some on video.

Needless to say the track meet and swim practice were cancelled and Katy was supposed to go to ballet but she was afraid to be away from me in this weather so I let her skip.

Still rain today but hoping this is the last of it for a bit. Katy has a creek cleanup tomorrow and then we are praying for good weather for the camping trip next week!!!

Well, I posted yesterday how I've randomly lost my voice, now my throat is super sore as well......I was supposed to go out with friends tonight but I'm going to cancel and stay in, I have a birthday party on Sunday I want to go to so I want to get better for that! Luckily I don't have class Monday night so I don't have to try to talk loudly to teach. And we leave for Vegas in a week!!!! YAY!

Our weather seems to be done with its temper tantrum. Looks like Anaheim has it now. We've been grey all day with just spotty rain here. My plants and I are ready for some SUN tomorrow. LOL

Just eating a late lunch and catching up here before I run to the grocery store. Because I know better than to go to the grocery store HUNGRY. LOL

Hiyall,
My day began with a nice dose of pupil dialating drops at my eye appt. then a wonderfully friggin bright drive to the dentist so Forrest and Hunter can have their teeth drilled into. Fun fun fun!!! Later when my pupils finally went back to normal I went to the grocery store...as the hail began to pelt me!!!!
Sometimes it helps put things in perspective when you hear about someone elses bad day....wanna share yours?

Last night I multi quoted a buch of stuff and it wouldn't post. Of course now I can't remember what I said.
We had so much rain today it was amazing. Now our back yard is flooded.
Lots of snow on the hills behind us.
Hopefully the weekend will be dryer, lots of errands to run and I'm hoping to see Hunger Games on Sunday.
