Both Allyson and Christine went last night, I heard someone come home at 2:44 this morning!! And they left the hall light on, which shines right in my bedroom!! We drove by last night around 7pm and there were already people in line, I think the girls got in line around 9. Not sure how good their seats were since they're still in bed!!

Your first 80 degree day?? We had that quite awhile ago! I thought you would have too. 85 is perfect for me!!
Hi Stacie! Yep, our first day of temps in the 80's. We've been lucky so far, very mild winter. Nothing too cold or too hot. But it's coming.... lol

I can't believe people were in line at 7. Those are die hard fans! That means waiting 5 hours for a movie. I can't think of any movie I'd wait that long for. Now, I'm a bit nervous that even going to the 10:00 show tomorrow will still be crowded.

I bought the girls their tickets last night, they are going to the 4:30 pm show tomorrow afternoon to see it in IMAX.
Noelle wore her HG t-shirt to school today. I told her she should save it for the movie tomorrow, but she didn't want to. I guess that means I am washing it tonight. lol
So, tell me, what is so special about IMAX. I have never seen a movie in that before. I thought about doing an IMAX showing this time for HG, but then I saw that it's $17.50 per person!! :scared1: :scared1: I'd need 6 tickets so ummm, no thanks!! But, is it really worth it? Or is it just on a larger screen? :confused3 I'm just clueless about that sort of thing.

Post a photo of your bracelet! I wanna see. :)

Hi! Happy Friday!

DBF and I are going to see The Hunger Games tonight. :thumbsup2 I got tickets for the 9:45pm show so we can have dinner first. I didn't realize it was so long, we'll still be in the theater after midnight.

We're going to go to Disneyland this weekend. Most likely on Sunday.
Hi Sarah! Have fun on your dinner/movie date! I am glad it's on the long side. Hopefully they'll be able to translate the storyline from book to movie if they have more time to work with. I'm eager to see how they do.

Have fun at Disneyland! Drink some Practically Perfect punch for me since I never got around to getting one. ;)

Happy Friday, Divas!

Same old, same old around here. Laundry, grocery shopping, etc. Whee.

However, I am in the planning stage for a possible trip to WDW this Fall and I would love some input/advice from you seasoned WDW travelers. My travel needs to be completed by Dec 6, as I am traveling on a Southwest Rewards ticket. I am most likely looking at a Wednesday to Wednesday week and I will be staying offsite at Bonnet Creek. So now I'm looking at dates. I did Mickey's Halloween Party and Food & Wine when I was there in 2010. I've seen the Christmas Decorations from my previous trip in 2004 (including the Osborne Lights, which I would like to see again - missed them by 2 days in 2010!). Food & Wine ends Nov 11, but the Half Marathon is that Saturday, so I'm not sure what that would do to the crowds in the other lands, but Epcot would be a mess anyway with it being the last weekend, I imagine. The other special event I am considering is the Mickey Christmas Party (since I've done the Halloween party at DCA, MK and DL, I should do Christmas too, right?). The first weekend for that should also be that weekend of Nov 10. That makes a trifecta of crowd enhancements, no? If I decide to skip F&W, I would most likely go November 28 to December 5. If I want to do Food & Wine, I'd probably go November 7 to 14 and just plan for the parks to be a total zoo on the 10th and 11th and plan doing the Mickey Party Saturday and staying at MK all day and then AK on Sunday.

All advice and input is welcome!

Well Nov 7-14 does get crowded but not insanely. But the last time I went during that time was several years ago. Besides being the end of F&W it also falls during Veteran's Day and Jersey Week. Which bring additional crowds.

I wasn't a hug fan of the Christmas party and much preferred the Halloween party but maybe that's because I prefer Halloween to Christmas :confused3.

Good luck with your decision :).

I don't know if I'm an expert or not but I have done Halloween, F&W and Christmas several times. In fact one trip we arrived Oct 30th, did the Halloween party on the 31st, finished out the F&W and then did the first Christmas party! :cool1: The last weekend of F&W is crazy busy ... if you have to go that weekend get there as soon as they open but it would be better to go earlier in the week if you can.

Halloween: I like that party better. I love the special fireworks and parade with the headless horseman that you don't see any other time. The trick or treating I can take it or leave it.

Christmas: I use to love this party. All the special shows were really fun! It seems like the last time we went there weren't nearly as many special things. I do love the Christmas parade!

At Christmas my very favorite thing are the story tellers around Epcot. I plan my tour so I get to see all of them. Another thing I like to do is resort hop and see all the different decorations .... beautiful!

You didn't ask but I'll give you my opinion on Bonnet Creek. I stayed there Nov 2011 and loved it. Stayed in a one bedroom timeshare. I didn't have a car so I had to use their shuttle. Sometimes the times weren't quite right for what I had planned but I made it work. I did not request an Epcot view and I didn't get one. My view was of one of the pools and the man made lake/pond. At night it was beautiful with all the lights.

I'll be there Oct 14th until at least the 25th. If there is anything I can help you with please let me know. :goodvibes

We did the MVMCP back in 2005. Drove down from Michigan. The kids were obviously much younger and loved it! I just remember going from cookie station to cookie station, and they'd all want hot cocoa and cookies, which they wouldn't finish. So, I'd end up drinking their hot cocoa. I think I had about a gallon of the stuff before the night was over. It was a cute party though.

Good luck with your decision! I'm not of much help. :p

That's because Halloween is the most awesome holiday.....ever. :thumbsup2

Now that is cool.
I love the headless horseman. I wish they would do more at Disneyland for the Halloween party. I went last year for the first time and wasn't very impressed. :confused3 Plus I got sick, which didn't help matters.

Just got 'home' from Traditions :) It was a fun day for me. Now I'm all set with my ID and name tag (even if they have my hometown wrong). I've got tomorrow off and then I go back on Sunday and Monday and then after that should start my on the job training. It feels a little more real now!

It certainly is !!!!!

Can they fix it? When is your first offical day as a CM? Can't wait to see you on the job !

IMAX has a bigger clearer screen and better sound. But we only see certain movies that way, since this was the first one the girls have asked to see in IMAX I went for it, that and I only needed to buy 2 tickets. LOL And Cassidy basically paid for them, she gave me some money, I bought the tickets and then gave them money back too get snacks. lol
I'll have to take a photo with the camera and post it, it's easier that way. :)

They told me what I'd need to do to get another one. I'll just be from Whittier until then I suppose. :rotfl: Well, I am an official CM now (totally just had to use my ID to get into Disneyland last night) but still have 2 days of classes and then I start on the job training.

Happy Saturday, ladies!! :cool1:
The family and I are heading off this morning to see The Hunger Games! I hope it's good. I tend to be very critical.... But I am still excited!! popcorn::

Have a great day everyone!!

Morning ladies - although it is afternoon here! Our last day - bummer! It has been fantastic - the Irish are the nicest people! I did get sick - all congested just in time for my flight - ugh! And we found out that Ireland hasn't done daylight savings time yet - it's tonight! Lucky me, I get to lose one hour twice in a month. It would not be so bad if we didn't have to leave at 5:30 in the morning.

Jess - congrats on the move and welcome to the magic! I will look for you on my next trip

To all who have seen or are going to hunger games - post what you think. I can't wait to see it!

Hope everyone has a great weekend

Happy Saturday to all!!! It's a dreary day around here, but that's ok. We are not doing much today and my neck is KILLING me!!!! I...need...a....message!!!!!!

Besides Erin just had to check out the Muppets TV show from the library. Good day to sit in our jammies and watch the Muppets and have neck smothered in Bio-Freeze!!!!

I'm soo excited for ya!!!! It's official:banana:

Post pictures of the country side if ya can. I love their land!! Hope you are feeling better (now that you're leaving:sad2:) Safe travels.

Happy Saturday, Divas!

Sorry for the congestion and losing an hour (again), Bridget!

Kaitlyn is going to the midnight showing of the Hunger Games tonight. :faint:

:scared1: Was it super crowded?? They showed it on our news last night. All the people waiting in line for hours. Even though you can buy your tickets online, if you want a decent seat, you still had to line up around 8 or 9 and wait for 3-4 hours. It was crazy!

I also went to the midnight showing. We bought our tickets online on Tuesday for the last showing because everything else was sold out! We arrived around 8:30pm. Since we had a few hours to kill, I walked to Barnes & Noble (in the same shopping center) and bought Catching Fire to start reading. They let us in around 11pm.

The did the seating smartly. They just filled in rooms one at a time, instead of lining up by show time.

no posts at all today? wow!

Happy Sunday, Divas! I've got a corned beef and red potatoes in the crockpot. Mmmmm.... smells SO GOOD! Watched Up and Princess and the Frog yesterday. Hadn't seen P&F before. It was cute. I think that only leaves Brother Bear and the Tinkerbelle movies that I haven't seen. Oh, and the Little Mermaid sequel, which is next up in my Netflix.

Hello, ladies! Wow, so quiet around here! Like a ghost town.
Oh well, makes it easier to catch up when there's not much to catch up on. ;)

This weekend's been fun so far. Went to the Hunger Games yesterday morning, then to see Recycled Percussion last night. Today errands, then made some Baked Ziti, garlic bread, and salad for dinner, and chocolate chip cookies for dessert. We rented "Happy Feet 2", and a Stephen King movie I never heard of called "Bag of Bones" to watch later on.

Hope you are all doing well. :)

To all who have seen or are going to hunger games - post what you think. I can't wait to see it!
Well, since you asked.... :rolleyes1

I liked it well enough, but thought it could've been better. I felt they didn't explore the history between Peeta and Katniss as much as they should have. If you didn't read the books, you wouldn't "get it". They showed the bread scene but if you didn't know better, it appears he just threw some burnt bread at her in a puddle of rain. No real connection. Same with her and Rue. I was so worried I'd cry during that scene, but I didn't. It just seemed like they skipped over too much, and didn't take the time they should have to set up the characters and their relationships.
I had a feeling, after reading the book, that it was going to be hard to translate it properly onto the big screen. But, they did the best they could. It wasn't bad, it just left me wanting.

Hope you feel better!

My DD11, Dh and I saw Hunger games yesterday and enjoyed it. I was surprised to find at the end to have sympathy for Cato in the scene on top of the cornocopia.

It is super de duper rainy and windy today which I am really loving. Certainly atypical weather for San Diego. I bet DL was soggy today.

Hope everyone is having a swell day.

Good morning!!

I am so glad this week is almost over! I'm ready for the weekend. And my girls are so eager to go see Hunger Games on Saturday, they can barely stand it. lol

Adam is home sick today. Poor guy. Some sort of stomach bug. He seems to be better already, but last night was bad for him. I hope it doesn't make the rounds!!
I hope he feels better :goodvibes
We went and saw HG this morning. I should have stayed home, I am so sick, but we bought the tickets about 6 weeks ago and I have been dying to see it.

Any Harry Potter movie....we did all of the midnight releases for books and movies. It was so cool to be apart of a huge group of fanatics. It is fine as long you pack blankets, board games, and books.popcorn::

Are they training you in DL or do you get to go in the new stores in DCA? Did they tell you for sure where you get to work? And where (or who) are you living with? Can you tell I am living vicariously through you and your awesome new job?! :rolleyes1
My DD11, Dh and I saw Hunger games yesterday and enjoyed it. I was surprised to find at the end to have sympathy for Cato in the scene on top of the cornocopia.
I felt no sympathy for Cato - maybe it is because I read the book and he was such a jerk. I bawled over Rue.

I have jury duty tomorrow. It is bittersweet. I have always wanted to be on jury duty (in hopes I get picked for a cool trial), but it is so hard to have a sub in my ASL classes. I am pulling a blank as to what I should have them do. It is not like they can do bookwork and our Diva trip proved that I cannot trust a sub to work a dvd player.
