I will spare you all the details, but I am livid at my son's baseball coach. He sends the rudest emails! We are pulling our son from the last two games and filling yet ANOTHER complaint with the board. The silver lining is that I have been assurred he will never coach in our league again.

What is it with some of those coaches??

OK, so I am dying to see carsland! I just booked a plane ticket Oct 18th to October 20th for Nathan and I. I can totally change my dates though, as I am booking southwest with points. I am looking for a great hotel price or someone looking for a couple of nice roomies for the trip to cut costs. So let me know if you can give me a lead or need a roomy. It seems like maybe someone had a retro rate that they might not be using??? Just looking for a little pixie dust here.

Teens are going to be invading our pool today. Girls to layout. And later on the guys will join in for a BBQ.
Been on grandparent duty. Even took our grand daughter into emergency, while son and DIL away for anniversary. Long story there, but everything OK thank goodness!

I don't know what happened, but glad to hear your granddaughter is ok!

My AP expires in January and I decided not to renew. We will be taking a break from Disneyland for about 1 1/2 years. I'm sure Laila will have major withdrawals, but there is plenty for my family to do in Southern California. It's not the fact that I can't afford it, but I think it's getting out of hand and it's time to take a break for awhile.

Well, I've already posted how I feel. I won't go into it again, but I agree that it's out of hand. Enjoy your break! Like you said, SoCal is such a fun, diverse place with lots to do and see. Has Laila been to Sea World yet? I don't know how far that is from you... I remember going to Sea World as a little girl and wanting to be a dolphin trainer when I grew up. LOL

For the record, I still love Disney. I just think in my family we are outgrowing it. We had a great time on this last trip. Really fun. But, I think that will tie us over for a couple more years. Or maybe one year we'll do WDW. If you can find a good airfare, and get in with free dining, it's actually cheaper! I know you've already got one of those trips planned.

We miss you too Mel! Oh and you make the best blankets!! Laila loves hers and takes it with her almost everywhere!!

Me, too!! Well, I don't carry mine around on errands and such, lol, but it's always on my bed and I use it daily.

I'm definitely going on the ladies trip though .

If you want, you can hang out with me. Maybe one day at least... I'll be there, but probably won't do the parks. Just the parties, meals in DTD/hotels, and drinks at Trader Sams. I was actually thinking of one day maybe leaving the Anaheim area and going to the beach area. Maybe Newport. Find someplace nice to eat, shop, etc. Or whatever else is close by. It would be great to have company!

Hubby called me on the way home tonight... his car made "a big clunk noise" and then started to vibrate. He pulled over and looked it over (my husband is about as handy with cars as your average 12 year old), didn't see anything, so got back on the road. Still vibrating, but no ugly noises. No lights on the dash. Must be good, right? Ugh. So I met him on the freeway and we took his car to the dealer. Poor car has 130k on it, so when it squeaks, we listen. LOL So hubby will have my car tomorrow.

Have I mentioned that NO ONE but ME drives my car? Like EVER? LOL So we had a 20 minute "driver training" course this evening about how my little girl gets treated. Hubby has a big, honkin V6 that, when I first get in and drive, I peel out from the first stop or two. I'm gonna be a nervous wreck tomorrow. I just know it. It's like sending my daughter out on her first date with a boy with a car or something. Ugh. Plus, now that I know I'll be "trapped" here all day, I can think of a dozen things I need to GO AND DO. Ugh. There is not enough wine in this house.......

Welcome Heather and Rose. You're going to love this group of ladies. We always have a great time.

I'm hoping to get up to see CarsLand at some point. Sadly, I can never register my AP on the Disneyland site. Even when they e-mail me a new password it says 'invalid'. Ugh. I guess I'll have to call them and try to get registered for all the fun AP things. Usually I don't care about not being able to access the AP stuff - but this is Cars Land!
In any case, it would be fun to do a mini meet with those that are going. Maybe we could meet for lunch or something.

For those who are coming on the girls trip without an AP, how about doing a Hollywood Day? Lauren and I did that the first year and went to see Wicked at the Pantages (not sure what''s playing now) and walked around Hollywood and had lunch at the Disney Soda Shop. We were back in time for fireworks. It was a blast.

School's out for a couple of weeks, and starts back up June 9th. I'm enjoying the time to catch up a little. Hope you're all having a good week.
