Happy Saturday, ladies! Hope everyone's enjoying their weekend so far.
She'll be 17 on October 25th. She had a good time at WDW in February, but since then whenever I bring up any kind of trip (even ones she's been dying to do) she says she'd rather not go.
Ah, that explains it. I think it's something about that age! By the way, my birthday is October 24. Yay for October birthdays.
I don't know if you saw my post a while back. I tried to edit the photo you posted, but it wouldn't let me. I did find this one in your TR that you posted. Let me know if this is fine to add to the front page.
We don't have buses where I live. I'd have to make it about 5 miles to the next city to catch a bus.
Oh, well, that would suck. One nice thing about here, is there is plenty of public transportation. Of course, you'll run into some real characters on the bus!!!
eeeek, family drama day with the in-laws. Not sure why, but anytime I try to plan something it turns into this big messy
thing. Resulting in a flurry of phone calls, puzzling moments of "huh?" and a few tears followed by "it's okay, we will work this out" and "love you -
even though you are driving me NUTS!"

Had hubby chat it out with his family, reassure everyone that yes we can cancel the hotel if it doesn't work out. And hey, if all else fails, we have two hotel rooms to use for ourselves on fourth of july.
Bernice, that was exhausting just reading about it. LOL
Glad it's the weekend. I am exhausted. Me and the kitties are hanging out and relaxing. And I am having wine, lots of wine. Brianne is in Vegas with her friends. Such is the life of a young, single, fun gal!
Spent last weekend in DL and it was a mad house. I have a feeling it's going to be like that for awhile.
Hi Linda. Next time, come with Brianne, and then you and I can hang out!

Oh, and I think you are right about DL. It's probably going to be a zoo for a long time to come!
Evening ladies.
Welcome to all those who haven't joined us in years past and that are hoping to attend the upcoming trip.
I feel out of the loop on this thread as to who is who and I know it's because I haven't been here a great deal (if at all) since the last trip. My goal is to catch up this weekend on all the past posts.
Hi Steph, good to see ya here!
I have to decide what I'm going to do with myself this summer. My oldest daughter moved in with her dad about a month or so ago, and next weekend I'm taking my youngest down to Modesto to stay with her grandma. We had bad news on the day I returned from DLR, her grandmother's husband (who she is very close to, he taught her to drive, takes her on bike rides, fishing, camping etc) was in a mountain bike accident. He's in a coma and has a broken neck and back, he's not expected to survive. She's really having a hard time, and has asked to go down so she can talk to him and perhaps have an effect on his possible recovery (there have been some developments over the last two days that have given us some hope). I told her that we will prepare for the worst, but hope for the best, medical miracles do happen.
I am so sorry to hear that. What an awful tragedy.
We're staying home, it's just not worth it to go away and fight the crowds anymore. When hub and I were much younger we just couldn't wait to get away for a long weekend. Getting old I guess.
Hi Trudi, we are old here, too. No desire to go anywhere.
I am sad, cuz Cheryl is not coming after all. Her plans got cancelled.
Hi, Mel. I'm sorry she's not going to make it after all. That's too bad.
Pretty quite around here this weekend. Finally got my ressies for our July trip. Doing dinner at Cathay Circle for WoC dining and the chef's counter at Napa Rose for the first time! Can't wait!
Sounds fun, Bridget!!!
Driving to So Cal this morning .... hope to make it to DL on Wednesday!
Safe travels, Linda!
It's the first Saturday I haven't had to work since January. Yipee. I'm off to the farmers market, and doing some errands.
Wow, that's a long time. Enjoy your day, Chris!!
We have the usual crowd of teenagers taking over the living room with shouts, a few curses and game noise mayhem. We are now in the lull before the storm, they went off somewhere.. POOF. Soaking up those last moments before some go off to college in the fall.
Tonight Adam is off with his friends hanging out, and Noelle is out with one of her friends. Ah, teenagers. When did they grow up????
