BREAKING NEWS: Disneyland announces a price increase on all Annual Passes effective Sunday, May 20th. A Southern CA Select AP went up $70.00 to $269.00. A Southern CA AP went up $60.00 to $329.00. A Deluxe AP went up $90.00 to $469.00 and a Premium AP went up $150.00 to $649.00 each. If you add parking to your AP, you will now pay $129.00, a $30.00 increase.

My pass expires June 25 so I just renewed it to save the rate increase.
Guess Disney need the money to pay for Carsland.

It's Friday, I had the whole day off and couldn't enjoy it. My chest hurts and I've been coughing so no fun for me. I was supposed to meet up with Rochelle at Disneyland tonight but that was off the menu pretty fast.

OK, I really did not need to see the price hikes! Ouch. OK, now I'm extra super glad that right now I don't have to worry about renewing my AP next year ... I would never be able to afford it, even with the payment plan.

Sheesh! I actually just bought DH's DAP yesterday and now I am glad I did! Mine is up for renewel July 25th. If I renew now with the payment plan, my "new" pass will not start until July 26th, correct?

I'm a Disney Freak like I guess you all are. I just found this Diva area. I've been a DL AP for over a decade and live 20 minutes south of DL in South Orange County. I rarely go multi-days in a row to DL, but I usually do a day or part day at least a couple times a month. My family went to WDW for the first time last August 2011 for 2 weeks and had an incredible time. However, other than absolutely LOVING Epcot, I have to admit I still love DL more (so much in a concentrated space ) Our driving force to go there was to see Harry Potter world at Universal Orlando. We're all huge HP fans, but with HP coming to Hollywood, I guess we won't need to go across the country for that either.

I am a SAHM with 6 children, 3 boys and 3 girls. We're basically the Brady Bunch without Alice--I've always wished for an Alice Instead of Alice I have my dad, who has Alzheimer's, who lives with us and I take care of him from September through May each year. My oldest (DS) just turned 22 and my youngest (DS) is 11. My 2nd oldest, a DD, is also a temporary CM at DCA, which means she only works holdiays and summer weekends--when she's home from college (she has a separate summer job as well), but it does give her free admission to DL. With the AP price increases maybe I'll become a temporary CM just for that

I would love to participate in the Diva days at DL, but because of my Dad I would only be able to come a couple of part days. Does that work? Do others only come a couple days, come and go, and/or stay overnight at home?

And absolutely you can come for part of the days! We do have some local Divas who do just that. Closer to the trip we will put out the itinerary with the group rides, meals and other meet up information. Please come for as much or as little as you can!

Hey Rose - you have it uploaded correctly. Look below the photo. There is an area that says "linked thumbnail" with what looks like a picture frame next to it. Click on that frame and four other boxes open up below. Take your cursor to the first one - linked medium - and highlight all the text in the box. Copy and paste and that should work.

Hi Rose Welcome!

We had our last Saturday baseball game of the season, then went swimming with one of the families from our team. The dad and I used to cheer on a college competition squad years ago. He and DH get along great and his wife is great. I sure do enjoy having another couple to do things with. We are planning a camping trip for July together.

So, how many of you are getting new passes today? I am heading over to the DL website right now to do just that.

Yay! I just set up for monthly payments on the premium pass. This will most likely be the only year I get this pass. The new price is way out of my budget. While DL has never dropped prices, one can hope right? Honestly, I hope the backlash from these increases prompts them to rethink some decisions. Some friends of mine who have not been to DL in many, many years were suprised to hear that even one-day passes are almost $100.

Just purchased my DH an ap with a monthly payment plan. DD and I bought our aps in March.

My pass doesn't renew till December, right after I get back from WDW, so I probably won't renew until the Diva Trip in February. And I'll do the monthly, so it won't hurt quite so much, but it sure makes the decision to stay at the Deluxe an easy one.

Are there any deals on Universal in October? Can you use the Florida tickets in California? I would love to make a quick trip with my youngest but given our giant trip in August am not sure if I can get a way with it!

Seriously, it's a bit ridiculous. I'm glad my family and I just went. We're good for awhile now. I think we will expand our horizons and take family trips to other places. No one in my family is a die hard Disney fan anyway, so it's no big deal.

Hopefully there will be a special price for hoppers in Feb when we go.

Oh. My. I need to be on this trip. I'm not sure if it will be feasible as I'm taking my youngest to WDW for her sweet 16 at the end of March, but I can certainly try to make it work.

I'm 37, mom to two teenagers, one 16 who now lives with her dad and one 15 who is insane enough to want to stay with me. I'm been in the military since 1999, National Guard since 2001, have deployed twice, once stateside and once overseas. I am a Disney maniac, and have planned to visit at least 3 times this year. I bought my Premium AP a few months ago, but haven't had a chance to activate it yet, so glad I got it before the price increase! I'm heading south tomorrow for my very first solo trip and am super excited. My favorite character is Goofy, I'm not a big fan of princesses, especially those who required saving by a prince (I'm reserving judgment on Merida until I see Brave) and I LOVE the Pirates. So... am I in?

Hi Jess, we saw Rochelle Friday night - she looks great BTW - at the new Mad T Party (which actually doesn't start until next week) and it looks absolutely amazing. We were talking to a CM about the new party venue and all the cool stuff they are doing. We really cannot wait to check it out. She told us you were sick. Feel better girlfriend.

I renewed my AP today; thankfully at the old rate. The new Premium pass cost is pretty high! Crowds were crazy today with grad night groups, but we still had a really nice day. Stayed in DVC villa 4504, one of my favorites. I loved it but I'm beat.
