Hello Ladies . Today is my Monday since I was off yesterday.

I had a great weekend! I had a birthday party on Sunday and got tons of alcohol as gifts :confused3. I think I give out the wrong impression that I drink all day and I have no idea when I'm going to finish all this stuff??? LOL. Then Sunday night Cliff and I went away for the night to Santa Monica beach and did some beachy stuff yesterday. We had to leave earlier than planned since Laila got sick, but we still had a great time.

I'm really loving my guy and I did post a pic on FB if anyone wants to see him. It's not the best pic since it's a side view but it gives you an idea.

Bridgett~ I hope you had a great trip. From your pics on FB it sure looks like you did :thumbsup2.

Beth~ Your trip is getting so close!! I hope all your doctor visits go well and you can go on your trip. I'm still keeping you in my thoughts and prayers that all turns out fine my friend :wizard:.

I've been on vacation, so I got behind and have been trying to catch up, but I think I better submit my RSVP before it gets too long.

I plan on being there from Wednesday to Friday (my pass is blocked out on Saturday, and I don't do Sundays). I'm a local, so will be driving back and forth. I may not be able to be there the whole day each day--because I take care of my Alzheimer's impaired father--but I'm hoping to be there as much as possible--with the help of my children--and certainly trying to make the "official" events. I can't wait to meet the rest of you Divas (as many as are there) in person.

Bridgett--thanks for hooking me up with the Divas FP page.

Beth--I hope everything goes well for you. Health issues can be scary. I also experienced your LV summer weather first hand---hot, hot, hot. It got up to 120 when we were there. I don't think it ever got below 100. We got to feel what a turkey feels like on Thanksgiving :) My hat goes off to you brave people who live there. Even the pool was lukewarm and not refreshing. It's a good thing your electricity is cheaper than CA, so you can actually run your AC.

I returned from my 4 day sisters retreat to LV. We don't gamble, but we saw Mystere--absolutely amazing, and Menopause the Musical--hysterical. We also saw Criss Angel but weren't overly impressed.

Before that my family was in Colorado for vacation--what a beautiful state. Everywhere I looked was another river, lake or reservoir. We don't have those is SCA :) We went down the Alpine slider numerous times that was an absolute blast--DLR needs one of those , went river rafting, zip-lining and horse back riding (on range horses that you can actually run--not nose to tail)--all a blast. We didn't see any fires, for which we were grateful but am sure sad for all those people who lost their homes.

My DD17 got her wisdom teeth out this morning, so she's not doing too well. When she recovered from the anesthesia, she got in some major pain, but the Vicadin has finally kicked in, and she's sleeping again.

Glad about the new app. Now I can keep in touch better on the road

I saw the pic! It was great. You've got a keeper!! :thumbsup2 Glad you had such a fun night away. Hope Laila is feeling better.

Oh, and I'm sure eventually you'll get through all that alcohol. Just keep at it. I have faith in you. lol

Thanks, babe!

I'll add you to the front page now. Can't wait to meet you also. We have several new ladies this year that I am so glad signed up! Hopefully we continue to get more. :cool1:

Ugh, you came at the worst time!! LOL Seriously, we had the most awful heat wave. :scared1: But, it's back to normal now. We are usually in the upper 90's or low 100's. Sorry you got hit with those horrid temps.

It's nice now! Come back. LOL I actually had my window open this morning. And Sunday night we had a huge rain/hail storm. It was nuts. Anyway, I'm glad you had fun. Mystere is really good. Criss Angel gets bad reviews so even with the locals deals we haven't bothered to see him.

Your CO trip also sounds like a great time! How was the alpine slide? Was it scary? They have one in MI and I was thinking of letting the kids do it, but when I watched some youtube videos of alpine slides, they showed some bad wrecks!

I hope your daughter feels better soon. Poor dear.

Divas FB page? Where's that?!

She's talking about the DIS Divas $$$ Talk page. ;)

You control your own speed, so it can be as safe or thrilling as you'd like. There were lots of people who were creeping down the hill with the brakes on the whole time. I went pretty much full throttle--absolute blast. We met a family whose father, who is a huge mountain biker, outdoors guy, who went full throttle and flew off the track. He had his jersey ripped and a couple scrapes. Anyway, it can be very tame if you go slow. Your kids should be fine, and they'll probably love it. I'm sure the Youtube wrecks were the dramatic wrecks worthy of Youtube. The vast majority of runs, which are safe and uneventful would never make the cut :lmao:

Good morning, ladies!! Happy Hump Day!

That would be me! :rolleyes1 Actually, I probably wouldn't even do it. I am a chicken! lol But, that would be what I'd be yelling at my kids... "Put on the brakes!!" :rotfl:

It was a great weekend at DLR. Friday was crazy hot and humid but Sat and Sun were so beautiful. :beach: So glad you finally got on RSR Trudi. I know you went over there to use your FP three times! Wasn't the Billy show a hoot? Loved it.

We thought the tour was lacking a bit in real gardening and horticulture tips. And we were hoping for a behind-the-scenes peek at something. Our host was good and it was nice to visit with everyone. :goodvibes

Beth, I am sending good vibes and pixie dust your way. Don't stress too much, the stress can be worse than the news itself. Big Hug!

Tracey, sorry about the awful experience.:worried:

I hope everyone has a great week!:)

I'm so sorry I had to miss out hanging out with you guys. :worried:

I am in agreement on the tour. I had wished that we had received more plant identification, behind the scenes, and how they do it. I thought riding the HM was a waste of time. I would have preferred to go into the gravesite portion, and talk about that. Or how about Tomorrowland? would have loved to hear more on that.

Beth, I hope all of your appointments go well!

Tracey, what a terrible and scary experience! Your boys sure do keep you on your toes!

Rtfelt (sorry I forgot your name:guilty:) Nice to see you home safely. Sounds like you have had a wonderful summer already. :goodvibes

Katie, I want to see your picture of Cliff. I need to figure out how to get to your homepage. LOL....

Bridget, how was the grand villa? :cloud9:

Sarah, pretty sure we are doing the Halloween party on Friday the 12th? Our best friends are coming along too. We are taking the oldest grandkids for the weekend. :dance3:

I just wanted to drop in and say hello! I barely have computer time anymore so I can't even remember the last time I logged in. It's been so fun to see a few Divas swing by and say hi to me recently. Absolutely made my day!!

Hope everyone's having a good week so far.

I hope everyone's day is going well. It's been pretty slow around these parts so it's been easy to keep up.

Beth~ I may be coming to Vegas August 24-26. Right now it's just tentative since it's for Cliff's brother's girlfriend's b-day and his brother isn't positive that's what they are doing yet, but if it is, we are going with them. If not, Cliff and I are planning our own trip sometime in the winter. Either way, I'd like to meet up for a bit.

Oh, and I'm sure eventually you'll get through all that alcohol. Just keep at it. I have faith in you. lol

Thanks for the encouragement :drinking1

Wimp!

It's not that difficult. Just click on your friends link and then click on my name. The pic will be one of my most recent posts'.

Good to see you here Jessica!

Thanks, Mel! I have one today that I'd REALLY just as soon skip.

I think you are mistaken on your party date. You meant to say you're going on Friday the 19th, right? :rolleyes1 Because your going to meet up with me, Linda, Cheryl, Capri, and a bunch of others during the day, right? ;)

Hi Jessica! Good to see you here! Glad you've been having fun with all the Diva sightings as of late.

Wimp!

Wimpy and proud of it! :hyper:

We are gone August 2 thru August 23, so if you do come then, it would be perfect timing! The kids start school on the 27th, so that weekend will be filled with whatever last minute school prep we didn't already get done, but I will definitely find time to meet up at least for lunch or something. ::yes:: That would be nice!
And, if your plans fall through for Aug., let me know when in the winter you'll be here and we can plan something then. :thumbsup2

The Disneyland Half Marathon weekend is coming up Labor Day weekend. My mom and I will be there Friday night through Monday.

We are having dinner at Marri's Pizza on Saturday night if anyone wants to join us. Last year Rochelle and Jessica did. :-).

Any one running the 5K Saturday morning? My mom and I are volunteering for it. We don't know what we'll be doing yet. I hope passing out the medals in Card Land ( where the finish line is). The 5K is Cars themed.

I just looked at the Email and it says prizes will be received 8-10 weeks after the promotion ends, which was May 22. 10 weeks would be July 30th.

I'm going to send an email any way.

Here's the reply I got:

Thank you for taking the time to contact us.

Per the Official Rules, you can expect to receive your prize information approximately 8-10 weeks following the promotion conclusion, which was May 22, 2012. Please be assured that we are working towards getting it to you as soon as possible. We appreciate your continued patience throughout this process!

Uh, gee, thanks for the non-information!!! Ten weeks is July 31, so they're getting pretty close!!!

I'm really loving my guy and I did post a pic on FB if anyone wants to see him. It's not the best pic since it's a side view but it gives you an idea.

Nice picture! He looks like a keeper!!

So, I am definitely going to Australia, July 26-August 4. DH left today, he won't get to his work location (Perth) until Saturday night!! Then he works next week and I'm meeting him in Brisbane for week, then he has to go back to Perth for another week of work. Definitely some good overtime pay!!

Still trying to decide what we're going to do. I'll have to go through customs by myself, once in Sydney and once in Los Angeles. I'm glad I've done that before, in Turkey, so I at least know what to expect. Not something I'd want to be doing alone for the first time!!!

Then, after I get back, I'm meeting Becci and Vicki for Destination D, August 9-13. We're doing early entry on Friday for Carsland since Becci hasn't been there yet. Hope the rides are all up!!!

Disneyland MouseAdventure is September 30, if anyone is interested in being on our team, please let me know. Vicki will be in Paris, and Heather and DD probably can't make it. Bridget, I know you said you'd be interested, anyone else??? Registration is July 31, which I can have my DD take care of while I'm gone, but I need to know before I leave on July 26. It fills up FAST!! And you can't add to your team once you're registered.

Our trip to Michigan and Minnesota was great, even though it was HIGH humidity and around 90 degrees most of that time! Amtrak was fun, gave Beth a few tips.

Think that's it for now!!

Have a great day!!!

Stacie, when do you find time to breathe?? :lmao: You just got home not that long ago, soon it's off to Australia and then to Disney! :cool1: You are a busy gal! It all sounds fun though. Enjoy the land down under!

Thanks for the Amtrak tips. We leave in two weeks from today! Why do I feel so unprepared?? I've never taken a train nor a 3 week vacation in my life. Maybe that's why. lol
Hopefully it won't be hot and humid when we are there. My mom's place doesn't have A/C and I won't be fun to be around I'm sweaty the whole time!

Breathe?? What's that??

Check facebook, I shared an Amtrak travel report with you.

Oh, it was VERY humid when we were there, just be prepared!! Not sure how to do that though... wear less clothes??

Ugh, nooooo. I don't want it to be humid. I'm certainly not wearing less clothes. I know you and I are used to the heat, but the DRY heat. Not that nasty wetness. Bleh.

Thanks for the Amtrak link. I read everything I can get my hands on!

A quick question for you guys.

My AP expires next month. I plan to get the Deluxe in September but it's blocked out Labor Day weekend.

If I buy a 2 day park hopper can I upgrade it to the Deluxe on Sunday night?
