78 probably wouldn't be enough for both October and March, what do you think we should do? Cheryl, you tell me, I can order or you can order, just don't know how many.

I remember now. So you are a ChaCha guide? I don't really get it. People call you or text you with questions and you look it up for them and call or text them back? How do you get paid?


As for the leis, I'm totally up for anything!!

ChaCha is an online program that people text questions to (they text to 242242, chacha) and then the Guides, like Callie and I, are online and when we log on, questions start coming to us and we search to find the answers which go back to the texter. It's fun, and I've definitely learned some things, especially things that I didn't really want to know. Think about what teenagers would text if they could ask anything they wanted... now think about 10 times worse than that sometimes!! I try to do it during the day and stay away from the nighttime questions, especially Friday & Saturday night, that's when the FREAKS come out, especially the drunk FREAKS!! We make .10 or .20 per text and get paid on the 15th of every month. I started on July 20 and got paid on August 15, $239+ and when I get paid on September 15, it should be at least $300, which is my monthly goal.

I was thinking of it for the mini meet, but when Cristabel said she thought it was for March, I said maybe we could do something similiar in March too.

But yes, originally I brought it up as a way for us to all have something matching for October since not everyone has the brown and pink shirts.

Yeah, I think that it should just be for October for now. We still have time to figure something fun out for March.

Lime green shirts would be fun!! That color is pretty popular. I see lots of it when I am in the parks and I wonder if they are all DISers or just like that color.

That would probably work better, I'm still watching for a Ding fare, but they haven't come up for the Friday/Sunday flights, only Tuesday-Thursday or something like that. That way, if I'm running late because I'm driving I won't have the stuff for everyone. Did you find them on the website I listed?

I think the lei's will be fun! If it's not too hot we can wear them the rest of the evening, so we can spot each other around the park!

I think lime green shirts for the March trip is a great idea, for that same reason. I was there with my family for your 1st trip, and kept looking to spot my fellow DISers, and I saw no one over 4 days!!

Sorry, this is really but remember when I told you girls I was going to do the Nuts for Mutts 5k walk on October 19th?

Well, my cousin told me she would only donate if Osita (my dog) got spayed because that is one of the main reasons why shelters are overrun, unwanted pregnancies. Then it dawned on me, OMG I have to get her spayed! What kind of person would I be going to a shelter's 5k, where there are many unwanted dogs, with a dog who was a potential breeder for more unwanted dogs. Don't get me wrong, if Osita got pregnant we would definitely keep 1-2 of the pups and find good homes for the others but I don't even want to take a chance that she could get pregnant.

So I've called my vet to ask about the spay and they wanted to charge me $365! Then I called another in the valley and they wanted $190! Ugh, I don't have that kind of money. So, finally I found a place called Golden State Humane Society in Garden Grove and they are only charging me $40! Woo Hoo! I would have gone to the Pasadena Humane Society but they're booked up until next year!

Ok so that's the good news. The bad news is her spay is scheduled for October 24th, AFTER the 5k.

So, I would like to thank those of you who donated, the money will still be going to them, but it looks like we won't be making the walk after all. I could go by myself but that's just too sad for me.
