Hi Ladies! I'm a fairly new Diser...I happened upon this post and I must say I WANT TO GO! I spoke to a girlfriend and she wants to go too. So, I'm going to book a room this week. However, my job is ending in October and I can't justify going until I get a new job haha. Well, I could justify it somehow I think. I ran it by DH yesterday and he said nothing. I guess that means he doesn't care LOL! I'm hoping to know for sure in the next couple months. If my girlfriend can not go, I will be interested in finding a roommate. Now a bit about me...

I'm from Northern California, 33yo, married, a 2 1/2yo little girl..I'm fairly laid back but also a planner. I'm taking my family to Disneyland in October for Halloween and it'll be my first time going since I was 7yo, and my nephew and daughter's 1st time going ever. We are soooo excited about it! At any rate, I've subscribed so I can catch up on all these posts!

Now we have two Jenns. I hope you'll be able to make it with the job situation and all, but if your DH doesn't mind then I think you should come either way! After all, with a toddler running around I think you do enough to deserve a break for yourself no matter what. Then you can go back a relaxed and refreshed wife and mom.

That's neat that you'll be taking your nephew and DD for their first Disneyland trips! And it's such a fun time to be there. Although why haven't you been back since you were 7??? Hopefully not so much time will pass between trips now. Especially if you are able to come with us in March!

Another quick note before I dash off to work....I wont be able to attend the October mini meet I have to work that Friday and wont be able to attend.
I would like to know what is going on that weekend in March. I was looking at prices for hotels, and saw practically everyone is sold out. I think there is a convention going on....forgive me if this has been discussed already, I am still on page 8 of this thread....only 124 more pages to go

Also, just to introduce myself on this thread....My name is Anne, I live in Las Vegas NV, born native. I am 29 yrs old, with two lovely children DS 8, and DD 9. I love Disneyland, it is my I look forward to meeting everyone. I love the posts on this thread, you girls are right up my alley. Love the stripper shoes, I think I have a red pair from a Little red riding costume I had one year (very very naughty, not appropiate for DIS boards to display).

With you here now, that makes 3 or maybe 4 going from the Las Vegas area. I'm sorry you won't be able to make the mini meet, but as long as your there in March it's all good!

As far as what's going on that week-end, I really don't know. Shoot, I hope it's nothing major that will effect the trip. It was really crowded for the last trip in Arpil. Then again, it's getting harder and harder to find dates that aren't crowded for one reason or another.

For a hotel though most of us are staying at the HoJo. You don't have to, but it's really fun to be where the whole group is so you can also kind of hang out before and after the parks as well. If you want the prices and info for how to book at the HoJo just let me know and I'll PM you. We have special Trip rates so it would be different then booking on your own.

No, not since I last asked her. But we have 25 set aside and there were only a few (6, I think) booked as of 8/17 so I'd imagine there are still plenty left.

I think with everyone getting roommates we might not need as many as we thought. I know I'm rooming with January and Sarah, so that's already 3 ladies right there.
And Stacie and Amy have like 20 people rooming with them..... OK not really, but seems like everyone is at least doubling or even tripling up this time.

Which is good. Saves money for other things.

So, my friend says to not count her in because she doubts she'll be able to make it. BOO! I plan to call HOJO's tonight after work to book. Is anyone interested in a roomie? I'm pretty easy going, non smoker, low maintenance, social drinker, up for outings and not a total bummer of a gal haha. Anyone? Anyone? Bueller? Let me know! Either I can book and we can do it that way, or if you already have a room and need a roomie, that works too!

Beth- So I'm not sure why I never came back to DL after I was 7. I had a single mom from 11yo+ so it wasn't in our budget then. Then I joined the Navy and was stationed overseas. Then when I got out in 1999 I was into college and building my career in corporate America. Trips I took during this time were: Key West, FL, England, Italy, Hawaii, Colorado, Mexico and DL was never really on my radar. Now that I could care less about corporate america's ladder and have a little girl, it just seems appropriate!

Well I can understand it not being in the budget. It's so expensive and getting worse all the time. Kind of sad to think some families won't ever be able to experience the "magic" because it's simply out of reach for their parents.

You are very well traveled though!! Wow. How exciting. And Disneyland will be even more special with your daughter. She's going to love it.

I'm sorry about your friend not being able to make it, but we have a lot of new ladies this time around and I'm sure before too long you'll find a roomie. You sound pretty easy to get along with!

So I usually say "DH will do what I want, so no worries" I'll stick by that for now hehe. He's great about giving me my "me time". I usually go to San Diego every year to visit a Navy friend, so I think if I cut that trip out (she's coming up here this Winter, but DH doesn't need ot know) then it shoul dbe a non-issue. I'll go ahead a book a room, that way we don't have to give it a second though. Yahoo, now I'm even more excited.

I'll be missing the meet up in October. I'll be there the last week of October, bummer! Well, bummer I'll miss the meet up NOT bummer I'll be there haha. Work is so boring today. At least I have 133 pages of great DISboard stuff to read through!

Just a quick hello. I've been reading along to keep up with you all.

I have a work trip on Sept 12 for the weekend. They pay for the weekend, that's not too shabby. They drive us there & back and supply the food & alcohol! Guess I can't complain too much about working there. I'll just stick to complaining about not being able to go to Disney as much.
