Beth ~ I'm still coming and I know Michelle/Zoemakes5 is still planning on coming :woohoo: .
Great! Thanks for letting me know. :thumbsup2

I'm still coming Beth. I may also be bringing my mother with me. When do I need to let you know by?
I don't have my calendar in front of me, but I think Aug. 16 is when I was going to call. If you can't find out by then I can just pad the reservation by one or two just in case. We can always just say some couldn't make it after all or got sick or whatever. :thumbsup2

Beth: I think I've confirmed but if not, yes, I am coming too.

I spent Saturday and most of Sunday at DLR--got a good rate at Paradise Pier Hotel and was going to stay two nights, but boyfriend didn't want to stay for Sunday so he left early and then I played around at Calif. Adventure mostly yesterday and came home in the afternoon.

It was really fun . . .but hot and HUMID!!!! That was not fun, but the crowds were pretty light--HM and Pirates were walk-ons--I went on Buzz 6 times (twice with fastpasses) ; did the Nemo "observation room"--since I don't want to go down the stairs of the sub-- it was cute--no need to do it again however. OH! and I had a "Tinkerbelle Twist"--based, I think on your recommendation. My first sips were "uh oh"--don't think I like this--but enjoyed it by the end! I of course didn't go on any of the "mountains" so don't know what the lines were like for that. We did Soarin' on Saturday and the line was maybe 25 minutes. We did Toy Story Mania twice--once the regular line (25 minutes) second time we did the single rider line (which would have been short, but we asked to go in the handicapped area so I would not have to do the stairs and we had quite a wait--maybe 15 minutes--there).

We also walked into the Animation Academy and Turtle Talk and Bug's show. None of the lines in Bug's Land were long--virtual walk-ons. Didn't notice what the line was like for Screamin'. Yesterday afternoon the lines were walk-on (Snow White/Pinocchio) to 20-30 minutes (Toad/Pan) in Fantasyland--which is not bad.

We had dinner Saturday night in the Vineyard Room--first time I had been there. I had the famous Rosa Regale champagne--it was delish! We shared a flatbread appetizer and a ravioli second course and then by the time our entrees came out I was full! Which I guess in retrospect was good since I didn't like my entree AT ALL. I ordered lobster and they put paprika (ok) and cayenne pepper on it! Yuck! The combination was not good. Steve ate most of it in addition to his entree (but he wasn't hungry :lmao: :lmao: ). The waiter noticed I didn't like it and wanted to take it off the bill, but I insisted on us paying for it because after all, Steve did eat it. He did offer a free dessert and we took that. They served dessert after we watched the Electrical Parade from up high--a different perspective (but I think I like being down closer to the action better).

So, a fun weekend (but of course now I'm paying for it with too much work!)

Cheryl, sounds like you had a great week-end. Sorry it was hot and humid though. That's not good. At least the crowds were light. I cannot handle both! LOL

I'm glad you tried the Tinkerbelle Twist. I love that drink, and I'm glad you liked it after all. It is different. Ruben doesn't like it, but the kids and I really do.

Anyway, glad everything went smoothly over all and good luck with getting back to work. :)

Good Monday Morning ladies!!! Hope you all had a nice week-end. :)

The time to make reservations for our mini meet will be coming up before too long. :woohoo: :yay: :cool1:

Below is who I have signed up so far. Please review the list and if you want to go and your name is NOT on there, let me know.

I am thinking of making the dinner reservation for 5:30 p.m., or as close to that time as they will give me. Will that work for everyone?? I know there is a Halloween party that night that some of you are going to, so I'm trying to make it early enough so that you can still head over there afterwards.

Let me know if any changes need to be made. Thanks!!!

I cannot wait to meet up again!!!!! :yay: :yay: :yay: :yay: :yay: :yay: :yay:

I will definitely be there, and anytime works for me!!

I will be there all week long, but I'll be at a conference at the DLH so I'll only have a few hours each day at the parks. But I'll be there all weekend, and DH is flying in to join me. His parents are meeting us on Friday, and I'm sticking him with them so I can join you ladies for dinner!!

DD & I will for sure be there. She is requesting to be off at 5 pm and they are pretty good about granting shift requests. 5:30 or 6:00 is good for us. The party at DCA is not until 7:30, so even if dinner is 90 minutes we will be there right after they start letting people in. Maybe go for inbetween? I think they only book in ten minute increments. I often ask for 5:45 and they will say "I have 5:40 or 5:50 available". You decide Beth, we'll all be there, can't wait!

Cheryl, glad you had a nice weekend. But I agree, it has been unusually humid this last week. I don't like it! See you at PP in October;) .

So you're using us as an excuse to ditch your in-laws?? :rolleyes1

Smart thinking. :thumbsup2

Just kidding! :rotfl:

I'm so excited for the mini meet! :hyper: Everyone better bring their smiles with them because I'm warning you now that I'll be taking lots of pictures! Pics of the food, of you all, of everything. :cool1:

Say cheese! :teeth:

HELP!

Have any of you used Ridemax before? I've seen it talked about on the boards but honestly never paid much attention because I never thought I'd try it. But now I'm tempted to.

We'll be there in October which is getting to be a busy time now and since this is our last trip for awhile I don't want to spend it waiting in line all day.

I've been trying to do some research on Ridemax on my own, but the reviews I get are sort of mixed. So I was wondering if any of you have any personal experience with it?

Is it worth it?

Do you have to follow it minute by minute?

What about breaks for snacks, shopping or potty breaks for 4 kids?

Thanks for any info!! :flower3:

Hi Beth,
I did buy Ridemax for our last trip, which was in Dec. I actually liked it. It did take some messing around with it, to get it to fit my plans for shows etc. There is plenty of built in time for bathroom/snacks etc. It turned out not to be very busy when I was there, so it was not crucial, but boy if going during a busy time, it would really help. But, I also do think that if you are already a ride/pattern fastpass utilizing machine yourself, Ridemax is probably not necessary.

But, hey for $15 I think it is worth the fun of trying it out!

I am going FEb 14 next year, which is sort of high season, with Presidents weekend in there, and plan on using Ridemax again.

Good Luck!
Tracey

Hi all! Back again for a drive by posting....I know I'm stealing someone elses' catch phrase!
Anyway, still having ongoing computer issues and I just don't have the money to get it fixed, so I can only get on here and there.
Dealing with a summer cold now. Kids are all doing okay. Finances are still a problem. Been applying for jobs left and right, but no takers yet.
I can't wait for the kids to go back to school! It's time now! Not enough to keep them busy these days!
I will be at the mini meet barring anything outrageous. In addition, I'll be there 9/7 to celebrate Ethan's b-day (I can't believe he's going to be 14! Yikes!). We're going solely because Ethan wants to make one of the build your own light sabers at Star Traders! I'm hoping to get in a short trip before then, but we'll have to see.

Hi, ladies!
I hope you are all doing well. I have been so freakin busy and hardly anytime to dis:sad2: . I have been thinking about you all.

Have a wonderful day!

I'm really wanting to join in on the fun! When do you need my final answer?

Hi Michelle! I'm sorry you're still having computer issues. We miss you around here. I hope your cold goes away fast and look forward to seeing you at the mini meet.

Hi January!! It's about time we see you around here. Sorry things have been so busy! Don't you hate when real life interfers with DIS time??? I hope things settle down for you soon so you can chat more.

Hi Susan! I hope you do decide to join us. But we don't need an answer by any set time. It's not really an organized tour group, more a group of fun Disney lovin ladies just hanging out and having a good time.

Each person is responsible for making their own hotel reservations and arranging their own transportation to the meet. Most, if not all, the group is staying at the HoJo but it's up to you where you decide to book a room at. If you do decide to stay at HoJo let me know and I can send you a PM with all the booking info.

You really have up until the day of the trip to sign up, but of course as it gets closer we will be making more specific plans for things like group meals, tours, t-shirts, etc so if you want to get in on those then I'd say at least try to know 3 months before hand.

IF you have any other questions feel free to ask here or PM me and I'll help you out. Also if you haven't already, there is some info on the first page to check out from our first trip which was a lot of fun! :)

Hope you can make it! :wizard:

Thank you so much for the info! I'm really tempted to give it a go just so I can say I've tried it.

Hi Susan! :wave2: I hope you're able to join us in March!

I REALLY want to go to the mini-meet. I'm doing everything in my power to make it happen, but I'm afraid to commit (story of my life!).

I hope everyone is having a great day. I'm at work trying not to cry, because I feel like I can't do anything right. Some I'm thinking about Disneyland instead and trying to be happy! :)

Afraid to commit?? Aww, come on, we don't bite......:rolleyes1 Well, let me know if you decide to come. I'll post when I'm going to call and make the reservations.

I'm sorry things are going wrong at work. I think we've all had those days. Don't let them get to you!!!
Go to youtube and search for Disneyland videos. That's an easy and cheap way to get a Disney fix and bring a smile to your face. :)

I was just chatting with a friend of mine and telling him that I was having a bad day and he asked if eating a unbirthday cake on the monorail would make me happy. He knows me too well.

I'm REALLY trying for the October trip, I miss my Disneyland and I would love to meet some of the girls. :goodvibes

I'm going to go watch some Disneyland videos like you suggested!

And where are the pictures? And the scores?

we don't want to talk about the scores . . .. a funny story though . . . .DBF had never been on Buzz before . . . did miserably (like 30,000) the first time--so he was bound and determined to go on it a second time so he could better his score (and beat me!)

Same thing as TSMM--that was the only other thing he wanted to do a second time and I'm sure it's because of his competitive nature!
