Hello! I'm on lunch and posting from my phone. How you are all doing well! I'm learning a lot in my new position but hopefully I'm have time to DIS again soon!
Hi Sarah, sounds like your new position is going well, even if they are keeping you busy.

Well I had my follow-up with the specialist today. As he opened the door and walked in he said the most wonderful words "It's benign, not cancerous at all!". He said that the incision is healing nicely and next week I have to go back so he can removed this protective strip thing that is over the incision right now.

Thank you all for being so supportive and keeping me in your thoughts. You all are a great group of women.

Steph
Oh Steph! That is the BEST news!! I am so happy to hear that. And I hope you continue to heal quickly.

I've never been to the circus either (and I've never taken my kids). Let me know if everyone enjoyed it and maybe I'll have to look into it.

Still no morning sickness (thank God). And I've also made it out of my 1st trimester so the doctor says it's now less than a 15% chance for me to have a miscarriage.
That's good news. I'm glad you aren't sick. Morning sickness really sucks. Take it from someone who was in and out of the hospital because of it.

The circus was great!! I was so surprised! I'm not sure what I expected. Maybe something boring and smelly. :rotfl:

But it was really good, very entertaining and not boring or smelly at all. LOL In fact, some of the acrobatic acts were very similiar to some of the acts we've seen in the Cirque shows. I'm so glad we went and I'd definitely recommend it.

Ruben remembered going as a kid, and said this was much different. More modern and organized. :thumbsup2 I took a few pics that hopefully came out and I'll post them tomorrow on my TR if you want to see them.

Just wanted to say hi:stir:
Hi Lisa! How've you been?

Am I allowed to vent in here?
But still, NOT the way I wanted my first visit, in such a long time, with MIL to be!
I gotta have a beer, and now hubby TRULY owes me the March trip gol'dernit!
I'm sorry Molly. MIL's can be a real pain. I know. And I'm sorry it went the way it did. I don't like unexpected guests either.
I hope you enjoyed your beer, and I'd say it's time to start planning for March for sure! ;)

Hi girls, how's everyone doing?
It's still hot over here even though it is about 10pm. I have the whole weekend off thanks to my job being only M-TH! We're going to the beach on Saturday :cloud9:Probably Carpinteria and then hit Ventura on our way home. I decided on my last DL trip, earlier this month, that I'm avoiding DL the WHOLE summer. I'm working M-TH and gas is just too expensive (+food and it's ridiculous) so it kind of defeats the purpose. It's also TOO hot and TOO crowded, not much love there.

It's ok though, I'll be there for Mickey's Trick-or-Treat Party! Who's with me?:cool1:
Hi there. Have fun at the beach. I don't blame you for staying away from DL over the summer. We are too. Our next trip back won't be until October when it's hopefully cooler and less crowded. :thumbsup2

Anaheim is predicted to be 98 today--usually DLR is a few degrees higher than predictions (I think it's all the concrete!)

Thanks for hearing my vent, I really appreciate it. :goodvibes

My beer and ice cream were good. Then I finished up a photobook I've been working on; I called it "my pretty disney", and it's all the non-people/character shots of just the prettiness of the parks. I got an email from shutterfly giving me a photobook, so I said "thank you!" and made that. I figure that shipping and handling is worth it.

Now if only photoworks will do the same, b/c every year I make an "Eamon's year" book in the same style through them, and it's time to do that!

Beth, glad the circus was good. I went once, and was too freaked by the clowns to ever want to go back. But maybe now they are focusing on acrobatics instead of clowns (and animals) and it would be "safe" to go back. :)

Molly--sorry about the MIL problem--I'm the same way--don't "drop in" on me!

LOL about the clown comment--when I was with Cheryl, January and Beth watching the Electrical Parade someone (can't remember now) made a comment about the "scary clowns" or "evil clowns" and then I read something from someone else . . . . I never thought of clowns as being scary (other than that one in a Steven King book). It's funny how we each have our triggers (mine are snakes). :scared1:

We (the valleys and inland) are expected to reach 113 degrees today:eek: I'm definitely going swimming today!

Do any of you know any dog friendly beaches? So far I've read that Ventura and Huntington Beach are dog friendly. I was telling my mom that if we're going to the beach, Osita MUST come with us. It would be inhumane to leave her at home in the heat ALL day by herself. If my parents don't want to take her and don't find her a doggy sitter (I'm thinking my aunt & uncle), then I'm staying home!::yes::

How cool about shots of Disney that aren't characters or people. I bet it's going to be great.

I've never been scared of clowns. LOL But they were only in the show a few times. I think they are definitely focusing on acrobats, gymnasts and dancers more then before.

I hope everyone is having a good day today! :)

so my latest "project" is getting my house painted--do you know how many different shades of brown etc. there are? I could have spent hours in the paint store! sigh. then once I pick out what I want I have to go through association approval--yuck.

at least I've gotten a good estimate from my regular painter--so now I just have to get through the color selection process.

basically, I want the "feel" of the Grand Californian--but I know my association would never let me paint the house green--so I'm thinking the wood siding will be a medium copper brown, the stucco will be a light beige and the trim will be white. Then when I get around to re-landscaping (in the next decade hopefully) I can put in pine trees and such to give it that "woodsy" feel. (as opposed to the conglomeration of leftovers from everyone who has ever lived there which is what it is now).

Cheryl, that sounds like it will be really nice! I love a woodsy feel. ::yes:: I miss that out in the heat and desert we have here.

Is your avatar from Hocus Pocus?
I'm not sure. I just Googled black cats and it was one of the images that popped up. I do love that movie though! I've watched it way too many times.

How was the beach? :beach: :dog:

Howdy yall!!! I just finished the last part of my trip report. Can't believe it took me that long.

How is everyone doing???
Hi Stacie! Things are ok here. Kind of a boring day. I am not liking summer in Vegas so far. It's too hot to go out and do anything. So I've been doing lots of this today: :surfweb:

And now I am off to read your grand finale!! :moped:

Great ending Stacie!! Thanks for writing that. :thumbsup2

Okay, I have a question for anyone who's been to Ariel's Grotto for the Princess meal. Despite some bad reviews, I am thinking of going there in October with just me and the twins. (Ruben and the older two aren't interested)
I just want pics of them and the Princesses, but since it would just be us 3, if I wanted to hop into a pic with them, is there anyone who could take the photo for us?
Like a CM that sticks by the Princesses or something? :confused3

Anyone know?

Also I was wondering if anyone is ready to plan another mini meet?!?! :hyper: :hyper: :hyper:

I had such a nice time on the last one and I guess I am suffering from Disneyland and vacation withdrawal because I'm already working on plans for October. :rotfl:

I am desperate to try the food at Cafe Orleans, but there isn't anything there Ruben and the kids are interested in eating. Sooooo, I was wondering if anyone would like to meet up for dinner and some rides on Saturday, October 18?

This will be our last trip before our APs expire

, and I really want to cram as much into it as I can. But I would love it if some of you could come over and we could meet up again even if only for a few hours. :goodvibes It doesn't even have to be Cafe Orleans. LOL I'll eat anywhere.

So if anyone is interested, please let me know. Thanks!! :)

I'm going tomorrow:goodvibes My parents are still iffy on taking our dog. I really want to though, I think she'd enjoy herself.

Good Evening Ladies! How is everyone doing? Hope you all had a great day. :goodvibes Thank goodness it's the weekend! :yay:

Not really. The only one would be Ariel. We were just there last month. The Princesses walk about by themselves. Unless you could get someone sitting near by or a server, there really isn't anyone to take the pic for you. Ariel is up front by herself with people taking your pics. That would be one for sure you could hop in and know someone can take it.

I would be interested in doing a mini meet on that day. Its a long time away, but I'm down for it. I can't remember the last time I ate at Cafe Orleans. So that would be nice. And I am always up for any reason to go to the park. So count me in.

Guests are leaving, today, so more later, but I'm all for a mini meet any time I can make it. I'm fairly sure I can do 10-18! I'll start working on details.

I'd love to do a mini-meet in October, but we're leaving on Oct 18:sad2: I'm coming Oct 14-18 with my DS, my sis, and her two DSs for the Halloween Treat or whatever it's called :cool1: This will be the first trip EVER for my sister and her two sons, so we're really excited!!
