Hey ya'll! I'm fixin to make a photo tutorial for doing your shirts....as long as the boys sleep for a while. I'll have it up later. :wizard:

I guess because of the recent break-up I didn't want to be alone for NYE--so I invited one friend, then invited another and now I'm cooking dinner for 6 (maybe 8) tomorrow night! LOL--ok, guess who's going to Costco and the grocery store tonight~!
Aww, you are such a good friend Cheryl! You always go out of your way to make others happy. :goodvibes

There's some AWESOME cruise deals out there right now.....like $300-$500 per person for a 5 day Mexican cruise (and of course that includes your room, food, and onboard entertainment).
Those deals are so great. I think in 2010 we should do one day at Disneyland and then all hop on a cruise to Mexico! :yay:

We broke up on Halloween wknd. But it truly blows that we still get to "spend" the holidays together but not "spend" the holidays together. I really hope that he decides to go out with his friends and not my friends tomorrow night. (ok so we are all friends, but he has others darn it!! :lmao: )
But if not like always just as I did on Christmas, I will put on my big girl pants and deal with it!! I would play  but his sister knows better.
Anywhoo...I will get off my box now...
It's good I'm married. I'm too old to be dealing with all that. :rotfl2:

HEY LOOK <--- I GOT VISITED BY THE TAG FAIRY!! :cool1:
Yay! :woohoo:

I swear I'll quit teasing you all....

now my printer is out of color ink!

If it's not one thing, it's another....:sad2:

Can anyone help me out with t-shirt? I'm more than happy to do it, but don't have access to a color printer, so wouldn't be able to do it. I'd be happy to send (or drop off) a shirt or two and pay for the transfers. Thanks all! I'm getting so excited for the trip! Looks like I'll be able to be there for the bulk of time, now.

Sounds fun, as long as none of the attached people start acting like my long-married friend on my recent girl's trip to San Diego. :scared1: Then again, I don't know any of your husbands or boyfriends (friend met her husband before sophomore year of college, we met him as soon as soph year started) so I wouldn't feel as connected.

:upsidedow

Aw, I should have thought of that. Shoulda come up here! Though you might have ended up cooking for us, bwa ha ha....

Well, I guess you could call us old people at heart, or at least I am. I'm interested because there is SO much history there and I've always been really interested in the Civil War and WWII.

This may not be a legal issue on a boat but I'm not 21 yet:drinking1...My sister is 22 and she was all for going to Vegas but Vegas is SO expensive and I can't go anywhere since I'm not 21. I'm a wittle baby.

Charleston is lovely and VERY historical. Be prepared for some "omg that actually happened" deep thought moments, like when you go past the slave market. Chilling, that people did, and still do (was just reading something about the Ivory Coast even now), that sort of thing to other humans.

Though honestly, I'd rather go to Savannah, but that's probably just b/c I've been to Charleston.

And yes, the age would cause problems on a ship, unless you were on a ship from a completely different country with their own drinking age.

Wouldn't be a problem once you were in Mexico, but after reading stuff on cruise critic I don't think I would be drinking in a cruiseship port in Mexico (unless directly from a cleaned off bottle), but onboard, definitely a problem.

Ok you seem to make the most yummy things!! Although..I have never had salmon. But none the less it sounds yummy!!

Omigosh! Never had salmon--girl, you don't know what you are missing--especially with the "secret" warm spice rub on it . . . .

I know how ya feel! Doofus (only cuz i think the word, usually I just call him BB aka brown bathroom :lmao: ) is my BFFs brother so i hardly get to escape him. We broke up on Halloween wknd. But it truly blows that we still get to "spend" the holidays together but not "spend" the holidays together. that's a shame-that you have to see him over the holidays; how long did you guys go together?

-it's funny I miss mine, but not for the reasons one would think. I miss the trash being taken out, the cat being given his pills, the litter box being cleaned, etc. I don't miss taping everything so we can zip through commercials, hanging around the living room in your underwear and clutter everywhere. Mostly, I don't miss him (but I do miss his houseboy skills!)

If nothing else, you can come print on my color printer.

Molly--I would even cook vegetarian for you!!!!! too late!

Cristabel--I always forget how young you are--like you said, just a little baby! We should make you our mascot (LOL)

We don't have a color printer either. Both of ours only print in black and white.

Maybe Cathy has a color printer?

Ooooh, a cruise would be fun! My hubby wouldn't go for it though......he'd want to come too. Heck, he wants to come on our ladies trip. Except he can't......cause he's NOT a lady.

Does anyone know if there is going to be any ticket specials during the time of our trip?

The only one I know of is the "Everyone Gets In for the Kids' Price" ticket special. A three day hopper is $149 plus tax. A four day hopper is $164 plus tax.

I'm tempted to get an annual pass this year though.

I miss the houseboy duties also!! Especially with all of this darn snow!! :lmao:

You would think that with living in the Pacific Northwest I would have had my share of salmon by now!!

That's what I was thinking too! :thumbsup2

Hey, I just wanted to let you all know that there are a plethera of tutorial videos on youtube for 'iron on transfers'.

One thing I'm reading that I haven't heard mentioned is to be sure there is something between the layers just in case the ink bleeds through. I have a piece of cardboard I'm going to place there. I also read where someone prepped their shirt on a wooden cutting board. The trick to getting the image to last and not crack is to really get the polymers form the transfer paper deep into the fabric. You do this with high heat and lots of pressure. It's not advisable to actually do the ironing on an ironing board due to this. The board is made to spread out the heat and you need it concentrated. Also, the padding on the board can mess up the pressure required. I hear that you need to go over the image several times and then several more. Let the image cool completely, and then slightly warm it up to peel the paper off. This helps it set.

My biggest concern is getting it on straight. Knowing me, I'll be the one walking around with a slightly crooked tink.
